Chapter 1171: Chapter 1171: Meeting at Olympus Peak

Lin Yi had no doubts about what Aphrodite said.

As the head of the Olympus gods, Zeus’s strength was beyond question; just how formidable he was could be directly benchmarked against an Immortal King.

The Olympus faction had never been shy about stabbing Immortal Kings in the back.

Key points: backstabbing, and Immortal Kings.

The fact that Zeus led the Olympus gods to dare do such things could only show that Zeus’s strength was not much inferior to that of an Immortal King.

However, this statement was not entirely precise.

Immortal Kings were the scheming masters of order.

Whether in terms of strength, methods, or foundations, they were far beyond what Zeus could imagine.

In that era when gods waged chaotic war, to be able to lead the gods to end that age of turmoil was not something an ordinary person could accomplish.

To put it bluntly, Zeus was a great power of this Three Realms and Six Paths, his strength infinitely close to the strongest; he was also one of the very few in this world who possessed the qualifications to compete for the position of chess player.

Because of this, his actions were under tight surveillance, which was perfectly reasonable.

After all, if nothing was supervised, it would indeed shake the rule of the Immortal Kings, and who knew what kind of price would have to be paid to clean up the mess then.

The Immortal Kings doing this, apart from the reason of saving themselves trouble, were more so hoping to grant this Three Realms and Six Paths a rare period of peace.

"This matter I am aware of; I will not hold any grudge over it."

Lin Yi nodded with a smile, the picture of modesty.

This made Athena at the side feel somewhat displeased.

A gentle breeze brushed his face, the white pegasus flapped its wings, galloping wantonly across the sky; those graceful lines combined with that pure whiteness, and yet there was not the slightest sense of disharmony.

This made Lin Yi have no choice but to marvel at the uncanny craftsmanship of the Celestial Dao.

The pegasus sped toward the place where the two realms connected.

Soon, Lin Yi returned once more to the place where he had previously gone through inspection and handed out benefits.

This time, however, the passage was somewhat different.

Passing through the connecting point between the two realms, ordinary people needed to undergo inspection.

But this time, the pure-gold carriage did not stop.

The white divine horses walked on air, gracefully gliding over the top of the passage; the Divine Soldiers guarding the place merely lifted their heads for a glance, then let the pegasus carry the golden carriage straight past.

The Divine Soldiers all knew very clearly that this carriage was the vehicle of Zeus, the supreme leader of the Olympus line.

In the Divine Realm, Zeus’s status was not far off from that of an Immortal King; to block Zeus’s carriage was not much different from blocking an Immortal King.

The Divine Soldiers held low status and had almost no voice in the Divine Realm; naturally, they would not do something like stopping Zeus’s carriage, and would not even bother to probe who exactly was sitting inside.

Thus, it never occurred to them that Lin Yi would double back again.

The location of Olympus was in the Celestial Human Dao of the Formless Realm, at quite some distance from the Immortal King Palace.

In the past few years, Lin Yi had come to Mount Olympus many times on business, but this was the first time he had arrived using divine horses and a golden carriage as his vehicle.

Passing through layers of coiling cloud and mist, Lin Yi enjoyed the feeling of the breeze brushing against his face.

Overlooking the entire Olympus Planet, towering majestic mountains rose one after another; powerful Upper-Rank Gods all lived upon their own peaks.

And that highest, most magnificent mountain, perpetually wreathed in lightning, was Mount Olympus.

Olympus Planet was somewhat special.

Special in what way? In that there was a lot of struggle.

The gods of this line revered strength, using martial power to carry out everything.

As the sovereign of this planet, Zeus wished for the people under his command to become as strong as possible.

When the Three Realms and Six Paths had just been unified, Zeus, as one of the great contributors who ended the age of chaos, naturally obtained the qualification to govern his own planet.

Zeus, who believed in martial force, understood one thing very clearly: only strength could bring discourse power.

Whether his self-governed planet developed well or not, and how much combat power the people under him possessed, would to a great extent determine Zeus’s future.

Peace? That was nothing more than a brief peace.

Only by possessing absolute strength could one exchange it for everlasting peace.

Therefore, when Zeus first established Olympus, he laid down rules for fair and reasonable struggle.

If one were to say where in the entire Three Realms and Six Paths corruption was least severe, that would definitely be Olympus Star, under Zeus’s governance.

Why say so? With Lin Yi’s talent and strength, if he had been born on Olympus Planet, he would certainly have, by virtue of his own power, become one of the Twelve Main Gods with the highest status on this planet.

From this alone, Lin Yi had reason to believe that among the many gods’ factions, Olympus’s strength was definitely in the very top tier, without question.

The pegasus roamed the sky; Lin Yi lounged at ease against the golden war chariot, following the direction of the killing shouts and cries, casting his gaze on the Olympus subjects fighting below.

"Brother Lin Yi, I must have made you laugh. The conflicts on Olympus Planet have never ceased; I hope this won’t leave you with a bad impression."

Of course it would not.

Lin Yi gave his approval to this system.

Progress required competition to be realized; healthy competition would become an invisible hand, constantly driving the overall level of Olympus Planet forward. This approach of remaining vigilant in times of peace destined Olympus Star to stand out amidst the fiercely competitive Gods Factions and rank among the strongest.

Seeing Lin Yi affirm Olympus’s philosophy so much, Athena grew even more enthusiastic in her introductions.

Before long, Lin Yi caught sight of Mount Olympus.

Though this was not his first time seeing this sacred place where the Twelve Main Gods of Olympus met and made decisions, Lin Yi still found it extremely majestic and awe-inspiring.

As they neared Mount Olympus, the pegasus began to slowly descend, until it came to a steady stop at the summit.

At the summit, Zeus was waiting with the remaining nine Main Gods.

Seeing Lin Yi arrive, joy appeared on Zeus’s face; disregarding the difference in their statuses, he courteously extended his hand toward Lin Yi.

"Lord Priest, you’ve been very busy lately. I’ve long wanted to find an opportunity to invite you to chat, drink some tea, and play a few games of go with you. Unfortunately, it always felt like you were very busy. This time, having my subordinates intercept you like this is somewhat presumptuous; I must ask you to forgive my forwardness."

Lin Yi knew very well that the man before him was no easy character; such low-postured conversation was merely a retreat in order to advance.

Under this seemingly amiable smile, there was often a stance that would brook no doubt.

His slightly disheveled white hair simply draped over his shoulders, looking completely loose.

On him, Lin Yi did not feel any pressure, and he knew clearly this was not because Zeus lacked dominance.

Daring to pull so many moves right under the Immortal Kings’ noses—how could he be any kind of weakling?

Put simply, just like the Immortal Kings, his control over his own Divine Power and Taichu had reached an extreme.

If there was nothing that required it, he would not waste even the tiniest bit of Divine Power on himself.

"Lord Zeus, saying it like that is putting a hat on me; that’s not very nice, you know~"
