I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 171: Ten Weapons

Chapter 171: Ten Weapons

The girl stepped closer, curiosity filling her eyes. She watched Leon’s every movement intently, but he didn’t spare her a glance. His entire focus remained on engraving the runic lines into the blade.

Several minutes later, he carved the final runic symbol.

A faint glow spread across the sword before quickly fading, signaling that the imprinting process had been completed successfully.

Leon grabbed the hilt and gave the sword a light swing.

Hummm!

The blade hummed softly as it sliced through the air, its polished edge reflecting the light inside the shop.

A satisfied smile appeared on Leon’s face. ’Just a Normal-grade weapon, but it’ll provide +10 damage. For anyone below B-Class, that’s a significant boost,’ he thought.

Author’s Note: The effect is +10 damage, not +10%. For example, if a Hunter originally has 200 damage, this weapon increases it to 210, not 220.

Leon chuckled before walking over to the stunned girl.

"See for yourself. You will know if I am telling the truth or not." He gently handed the sword to her.

The girl took it with her trembling hands, heart pounding with anticipation. Without wasting another second, she hurried toward a nearby machine and placed the sword inside the scanner.

Beep!

A beam of light swept across the blade.

A moment later, words appeared on the monitor beside the machine.

[Effect 1: Damage will be increased by +10]

[Effect 2: Weight will be slightly reduced]

The girl’s eyes widened in disbelief before lighting up with excitement.

These evaluation machines were designed to measure a weapon’s overall effectiveness and magical properties. They did not detect mana or qi directly. That’s why it could still accurately evaluate the weapon’s enhancement through runic inscriptions. Every weapon shop possessed one to verify the quality of forged equipment.

"Y-you really did it." She said with a trembling voice. Because just a single weapon made her realize something. Leon couldn’t just forge magical weapons. He was freaking awesome at it.

"Told you I can help." Leon grinned.

"How do you want to split the profits?" the girl asked instantly after that. "If I have to provide both the materials and the mana stones, I’ll take sixty percent, and you’ll get forty."

"Mana stones?" Leon shook his head. "I won’t need them. Just provide the materials, and we’ll split the profits fifty-fifty. How does that sound?"

"Perfect. Let’s head to the forging room." The girl agreed without the slightest hesitation. She looked as though she was afraid Leon might change his mind if she delayed any longer.

She immediately closed the shop before practically dragging Leon upstairs.

’Damn... I must have done something incredible in my previous life to meet someone like him,’ she thought, her heart racing.

’Out of all the weapon smiths in Delvan, he’s definitely among the top ten... maybe even higher. It took him less than five minutes to imprint magical abilities in that sword. And its quality is already comparable to a higher D-Class, perhaps even a C-Class weapon.’ The more she thought about it, the faster her heart pounded.

Soon, they arrived on the second floor. The girl hurriedly led Leon into one of the forging rooms.

Unlike the showroom downstairs, this room was filled with forging materials rather than finished weapons. Metal ingots, ores, and various smithing tools were neatly arranged throughout the workshop.

’Looks like I’ll have to forge the weapons first before engraving the runic inscriptions,’ Leon thought.

"What kind of weapons do you need?" Leon asked.

"For now, I need ten weapons as quickly as possible." She then began listing the requirements one by one.

"I need a war hammer sturdy enough to withstand B-Class attacks, but it can’t weigh more than twenty kilograms.

Next, a longsword sharp enough to slice through metal. This is the most important order and the highest-paying one. An A-Class swordsman specifically requested it.

Then, three spears. They need to be resistant to minor elemental attacks and well-balanced for accurate throwing.

...

...

..."

Leon carefully noted every requirement.

Once she finished, he stretched his arms lightly before nodding.

"I understand. Now let’s see how long this takes." With that, he walked toward the forge.

The knowledge embedded in his mind felt as natural as if he had spent a lifetime mastering the craft. Without the slightest hesitation, he selected the required materials and began working.

He decided to forge the longsword first. Once the materials were heated enough...

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

The rhythmic sound of a hammer striking hot metal echoed throughout the workshop as Leon shaped the glowing steel into the outline of a longsword.

The girl stood silently in the corner, afraid that even her breathing might disturb Leon’s concentration.

The glowing steel gradually took shape beneath his hammer.

He reheated it.

Hammered it again.

Folded the metal.

Tempered it.

Every movement flowed into the next with astonishing precision, as though his body had repeated the process millions of times before.

Nearly half an hour later...

Leon plunged the glowing blade into the cooling tank.

Sssssssss!

White steam erupted, filling the forging room.

Leon pulled the sword back out and examined it carefully. The blade was perfectly straight. Its edge was razor-sharp.

Not a single imperfection could be found.

Without pausing, he raised his fingertip. A tiny mote of light gathered once again. Runic symbols flowed one after another onto the blade.

The sword briefly shone before the light disappeared.

Leon set it aside on the finished weapon rack.

"One."

The girl stared blankly. ’A-already...?’ The speed shocked her beyond words. What would have taken even a veteran weaponsmith more than four to five hours was done by Leon in less than one hour.

She hurried over and inspected the sword. Her mouth hung open in bewilderment. A cold chill ran down her spine.

The sharpness of the blade, the faint intimidating aura emanating from it...

It was unmistakable...

Before she could even recover from her shock...

Clang!

The second weapon had already begun.

This time, Leon picked up a long spear. The blazing metal spun in his hands as sparks scattered across the room.
