I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 297: Fast Forward Mode

  • Next Chapter

Crimson and white swords materialized in the sky one after another.

"What the hell are those?" One orc growled.

"Illusions?" Another whispered in a trembling voice.

Logan had no time to listen to their words as he focused. The number of swords increased at a shocking rate, covering the whole sky. The enemies were already afraid of dying by Logan’s hand. But this move shattered every last shred of hope they had left.

As the battlefield darkened due to the number of swords covering the sunlight, Logan swung his blade.

Whoooosh!

Whoooosh!

One minotaur swung its battle hammer. The sword cut through the hammer and pierced the minotaur’s skull with a schlk sound. The stab was so precise and powerful that the skull didn’t even get the time to crack.

The minotaur’s body fell to the ground.

One black tiger was rushing toward Lilith. Almost all had abandoned the idea of fighting Logan and were targeting members of the Flame Empire instead.

But before the tiger could even reach sixty meters from Lilith, ice spikes erupted from the ground and stabbed it from multiple places.

The tiger twitched, trying its best to reduce the pain. But its eyes became unfocused soon.

The swords rained down like water, washing over pollution and garbage.

Within just minutes, the area became totally silent. Except for the smoke curling up and one enemy cultivator running away with his tail tucked between his legs. No one even dared to twitch.

"Phew!" Logan let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. The opponents were barely any challenge to him, yes. But the number was too overwhelming. Yet, he defeated all of them! Single-handedly.

Logan slowly sat down on the ground. His body was automatically absorbing spiritual energy. He had consumed a lot of energy and stamina, and it was finally time to relax a bit.

Lilith slowly walked toward him. The knights and royal guards stood where they were. But Mercer followed behind Lilith. But just before they could reach him, a tiny figure ran past them. "Uncle, you were just awesome. You killed them with dhisoom and dhisoom."

"You brat! What are you doing here?" Mercer snapped. He had left Spade in the palace. If not for Logan, the scenario could have been totally different now.

But Spade totally avoided him and threw himself on Logan’s lap. "Now it’s your time to resume our training, uncle," Spade said, totally disregarding what had happened just now. After watching Logan fight, the excitement to learn from Logan had increased manyfold.

Before Logan could say anything, Mercer walked forward and grabbed his ear, twisting it slightly. "You have become too notorious, Spade. Behave."

"What did I do wrong?" Spade said pitifully. "I just want to learn."

"You already have a teacher to train you."

"No. I want to learn everything from Logan uncle from now on." He said in a firm voice, even though he was just a child, and his tone left no room for negotiation.

Lilith couldn’t help but smile at Spade’s stubborn actions. "It’s alright, Spade. Your uncle might agree to teach you, but if you pressure him like this now, he surely wouldn’t teach."

Spade immediately stood up from Logan’s lap. "I am out. When are you going to start teaching me then, uncle?"

"Soon. Very soon."

"Alright." Spade backed down with a smile after that.

Logan again focused on calming his breathing. Seconds passed. Then minutes. Though he achieved a swift victory, it wasn’t easy. He had depleted almost all of his spiritual energy and was absorbing it like a bottomless pit at the moment.

Finally, after forty minutes, he was done. Logan slowly stood. He rolled his shoulders and stretched a little.

"You actually did it..." Seeing that Logan was finally done, Mercer spoke.

Logan turned back. Lilith and Mercer were standing. Their eyes were still doubtful, as if afraid of waking up from a dream. Renata and Lamia had also arrived. They were injured, but they weren’t in bad shape. And those wounds on their bodies were already healing.

"Told you. You don’t have to worry." Logan said to Lilith.

"But one enemy still escaped," Mercer said. "He was definitely from the Ninth Heaven."

"I know."

"You know? You mean you deliberately let him go?"

"What else? If everyone dies here, then who will leak the news that no one should come here unless they want to die."

Mercer and Lilith looked at each other before both bursting into laughter.

"You are a bit cold, you know that?"

"Thanks for the compliment," Logan said with a chuckle.

"But didn’t you say you weren’t sure if you could win?" Lilith asked again.

"I was speaking the truth."

"Yeah, right." Lilith chuckled.

"Let’s go back first," Mercer said.

Logan and Lilith nodded. Renata and Lamia again entered Logan’s soul sanctuary.

Soon a flying beast descended from the sky and landed before the four of them.

"Why not use this instead of carriages? It could have saved us a lot of time."

"These beasts are sometimes too difficult to control. Carriages may be slow, but they are safer."

Logan didn’t say anything and followed them toward the carriages. Everyone bowed in respect. But whether that was toward the princess or Logan, it was unknown.

Soon they boarded the carriages. Logan, Spade, Mercer, and Lilith got inside one carriage, while a few of the royal knights got into the other.

The two carriages started toward the capital. Cheers erupted behind them.

"Logan!"

"Logan!"

"Logan!"

In the carriage, silence remained for a few minutes before Mercer broke the silence.

"So you really are a demon?"

Logan stayed silent for a while before nodding his head slowly.

Silence again fell. Both Mercer and Lilith had many questions they wanted to ask but couldn’t speak at the moment.

Spade was sitting leisurely beside Lilith before he got bored of the silence and started speaking.

"Uncle! Why didn’t you use that green magic until last? It was really awesome." Spade was talking about the poison magic.

"Because earlier I didn’t have the ability to use that magic."

"What?"

Mercer and Lilith were shocked. Even Spade was too. Because even he knew that awakening an affinity like this wasn’t possible. Then suddenly something clicked in Spade’s mind. "Are you also using that breathing technique to awaken new affinities, Uncle?" He asked excitedly.

"What breathing technique?" Mercer asked in confusion. He knew Spade had been passing time with Logan, but he didn’t know what was going on. "A breathing technique to awaken affinity?"

"Yes."

Both Mercer and Lilith gasped.

Before they could ask anything else, the scenarios blurred before Leon as if the world was moving in fast-forward mode.

Inside Logan, Leon’s eyes narrowed. ’What’s going on?’ He wondered.

He saw Lilith and Mercer asking Logan many questions. Logan answered many of them. Even Spade was asking, too. With each answer, Spade’s expression became brighter and more thrilled.

Soon the journey came to an end. Leon could barely understand anything now.

He saw that Logan started staying in the royal palace for the next few days. He was teaching Spade how to train. He was guiding him in the Planetary Spectral Breathing Technique. Soon Spade awakened air affinity. Then ice affinity followed, followed by fire and lightning. Logan spent almost six months in the Royal Palace. In these six months, Leon saw Lilith trying her best to pursue Logan. Logan could tell what she was doing but remained nonchalant, as if he were a man of steel with no heart. Until one incident changed everything.

After six months, two luxurious carriages stopped before the Royal Palace.

Though the scenes were passing very fast before Leon’s eyes, he was trying his best to process everything.

He saw five people emerging from the carriages and entering the Royal Palace. One of those five was a young man. The moment he saw Lilith, he started to roam around her like a lost puppy. Leon soon realized that this young man was actually a prince from a neighbouring country. And due to some family history, Lilith’s mother had promised to betroth Lilith to him.

And after the Flame Empire won against the Navana Empire, its fame had risen in far, far corners of the seventh Heaven.

So this young prince had arrived to fulfill the betrothal. But Lilith had no intention of marrying him. And the young man soon found that it was all because of Logan. He started scheming to make Logan’s life hell, only to find that with each scheme, he was the one on the losing side.

He couldn’t take it anymore and finally made a bold decision. He mixed something into Lilith’s food, which caused her body to burn with an intense desire to make love.

But that plan totally worked against him. Logan and Lilith ended up making love. Logan couldn’t accept it for many days, but finally decided that he couldn’t avoid his responsibility. As a result, they got married.

Leon was shocked beyond words to witness such things. It felt like a drama, but he couldn’t tell what was actually going on properly due to the speed.

But then...

Suddenly the speed slowed down. It was normal again.

But the scene before Leon wasn’t.

Leon saw a body lying still on the ground.

The body belonged to none other than Lilith.

Ten figures stood before Logan. Two primordial dragons in human form. Five cultivators. And three grotesque-looking monsters.

Leon could feel it. The rage slowly rising inside Logan.

The Seventh Heaven trembled due to the sheer pressure.
