Behind her, the pile of collapsed stone violently exploded. Balor surged out of the rubble, his entire body shaking with a turbulent, unstable aura. Both of his heads—the demon one and the dragon mutation—were screaming simultaneously, the sound growing louder as the volcanic armor plates across his skin split open.

"I’m not done!" the Warlord roared, his eyes bloodshot. "If I can’t keep the core, I will bury everyone in this pit! I will kill everyone, ahhh"

He drove both of his giant fists directly into the obsidian floor.

BOOM!

The final red rune thread on the floor lit up with a blinding crimson light. The ground beneath the vault cracked from wall to wall, and massive columns of bubbling lava poured up from the vents. But the molten stone didn’t spread across the floor—it actively climbed his body.

The lava wrapped around Balor’s legs, his arms, and his chest, instantly hardening into massive plates of black volcanic rock that glowed a violent orange along the edges. His frame expanded, doubling in size until he resembled a massive, living volcanic fortress.

The ceiling began to cave in boulders crashing into the black sand.

"Everyone out!" Gideon shouted from the ledge, waving his bone staff. "The mountain is collapsing!"

The northern soldiers didn’t wait. The remaining fifty demons broke formation and ran for the sealed exit doors, while the old southern captain dragged the young soldier up by his armor.

"Move, kid! Run!"

Dante didn’t look at the fleeing army. He tracked Balor’s massive, house-sized body, then shifted his eyes to Esabella.

"Can you handle the left flank?" Dante asked .

"Anything for you, my King."

"Don’t die."

"I won’t," she grinned, her lips pulling back to reveal her sharp teeth. "If I die, who will keep the other women away from you?"

"There are no women."

"Not yet," she said sweetly, before snapping her massive wings and launching herself straight into the air.

Dante rolled his shoulders. His baseline physical stamina was low, his muscles feeling completely hollow from the rapid cell reconstruction.

’Hungry. Slow. My movements are down by about a third,’ he thought, his right hand tightening around the invisible hilt. ’But I don’t need to be fast. I just need to be precise.’

He pressed the eye on his middle finger, activating The Asura’s Eye of Fate.

The world instantly turned grayscale. Balor’s massive body became a complex network of energy lines, and right in the center of his stone chest sat a small, pulsing gold knot—the core node.

’He pulled the lava around it like armor, but the structural core is still in the exact same place,’ Dante analyzed.

Balor swung a massive claw straight toward him. Dante didn’t attempt to dodge. He stood his ground in the center of the crater and let the impact hit his chest.

BOOM!

The physical force struck his body, instantly initializing the Vajra Mirror Body. The kinetic force multiplied by two and blasted straight back into the limb. The giant stone claw violently fractured all the way to the shoulder joint, but the superheated lava immediately flowed into the cracks, mending the stone back together within a second.

But Dante had already used the second delay to move.

He executed a rapid Void Step, running straight up the monster’s shattered stone arm. The heat of the volcanic plates burned through the soles of his foot. He leaped from the elbow to the shoulder, then to the side of the neck, his invisible blade held firmly in his right hand.

"Weight," Dante muttered.

[Ground Weight Control activated. Target: Balor’s left wing.]

[Pressure Applied: 100x Override!]

The giant wing violently folded under the sudden gravity spike, crashing into the stone and pulling Balor’s massive body sideways. Dante stumbled slightly from the shift, but he didn’t stop. He dropped to one knee right on the hot rock plate of the chest.

The glowing gold knot was right beneath his boots. He raised the invisible sword with both hands, preparing to strike.

"No!" Balor screamed, his right hand swinging around like a massive cage to crush him whole.

SNAP!

Esabella’s bladed tail violently cut through the air, wrapping tightly around Balor’s wrist. The molten iron spikes along her spine drove deep into the volcanic rock, her massive black-and-crimson wings spreading wide as she held the arm in place, her golden slitted eyes burning with fury.

"Don’t you dare touch him," she snarled, her fangs fully bared.

"Dante!" Gideon yelled from the distant platform. "Strike it now!"

Dante brought the invisible blade down with his full physical density.

The edge hit the gold knot—but it stopped completely, as if it had struck an absolute, unbreakable barrier. A voice echoed directly inside Dante’s mind. It wasn’t Balor’s rough rasp. It was an tired, and calm resonance.

’Not yet, young one. The bloodline is incomplete. She must be the one to finish it.’

Dante’s eyes narrowed, his posture freezing as the golden light from the core suddenly bypassed his invisible blade, reaching out directly toward Esabella’s form.

"What?" Dante whispered.

The voice inside Dante’s head faded as quickly as it had arrived, leaving behind a silence despite the roaring columns of lava surrounding the platform. The purple light from the core pulsed violently against the grayscale vision of The Asura’s Eye of Fate, highlighting the shifting energy pathways connecting Balor’s stone body directly to the gold knot beneath Dante’s foot.

Dante didn’t ask questions. he looked up through the falling debris, his eyes locking onto Esabella. She was still suspended in mid-air, her massive wings straining against the hot air currents as her bladed tail kept Balor’s giant right arm pinned to the stone.

"Hey," Dante called out, his flat tone cutting straight through the crashing noise of the crumbling ceiling. "The core requires your signature to complete the imprint. Drop down and prepare the blade."

Hearing his voice caused Esabella’s golden eyes to dilate completely in pure, fanatical ecstasy. The growl inside her throat turned into an eager laugh.
