Chapter 75: Dante vs Marcus and Elena
Dante stood there alone His hoodie was badly torn, revealing a few friction burns across his forearms and shoulders from the sheer heat of the collision. A line of blood welled up from his split lip, sliding down his chin. The raw force of the thousand mages’ combined blast had left him slightly injured too.
’The impact was really heavy,’ Dante calculated internally, his eyes tracking the dust trails.
Across the crater, the rubble violently shifted.
Marcus rose from the ground, kicking a shattered piece of an arena pillar aside. His luxurious gold-trimmed guild armor plate was scorched black and cracked down the center, but his core energy signature was still burning exceptionally hot. He wiped the soot from his eyes, drawing a high-grade magic broadsword that pulsed with a blue light.
"You think a lucky strike changes anything, Dante?!" Marcus roared, his voice hoarse with desperate rage. "Look around you! Your little cheat skin didn’t reflect the blast because it was raw magic! We’re both bleeding now, but my guild reserves are still full!"
Elena scrambled up right beside him, her long daggers pulsing with a venomous, jagged black aura. Her hair was completely knotted, and a deep cut on her forehead leaked dark blood down her cheek, but her face was twisted into a frantic, murderous grin.
"I’m going to carve that face clean off your head myself!" Elena screamed, her long red nails tightening around her handles as she took a aggressive stance. "You’re just an empty ghost, Dante! You can’t survive a second round!"
Dante didn’t bother answering them. The air within six inches of his hand went different, a freezing, dense aura gathering along the sword.
Behind him, near the back of the crater, Nelon was still pinned to the sand by Esabella’s tail. His leg armor was completely crushed by her iron-molten spikes, but his eyes were still wide with a desperate malice. He frantically reached into his shoes, pulling out a small, dark binding dagger covered in glowing black runes.
"Get off me, you giant lizard!" Nelon hissed, his teeth grinding as he tried to raise the blade toward Esabella’s exposed thigh scales.
Esabella didn’t look down at him. She stood firmly in front of the shivering Yenna, her horns catching the daytime light as her giant wings half-spread behind her back to block the wind. Her attractive golden pupils that stared down at Nelon with absolute, serious hatred.
"You are still trying to move your hands," Esabella whispered, her voice dropping to a terrifying sound.
SNAP!
Before Nelon could thrust the dagger, Esabella’s arm moved in a lightning-fast blur. She snapped her whip downward with a monstrous surge of her strength. The barbs violently wrapped around his wrist, the thorns slicing deep into his flesh until the dark dagger clattered out of his broken fingers.
Nelon let out a sharp shriek of agony, but Esabella simply tightened her grip on the handle, her full lips pulling into a ruthless, tight smile as she looked back at Dante’s profile. "Don’t let these human dogs distract you, my King. I will make sure this trash watches your absolute victory before I peel his soul apart."
"Marcus! Elena!" Nelon screamed toward the center of the crater, his voice shaking with pure survival terror. "Kill him! Kill him now!"
Marcus didn’t wait. He channeled every drop of his remaining guild mana into his broadsword, the blue light expanding into a four-meter blade of pure, pressurized elemental energy. Elena went forward simultaneously, her body turning into a blurring streak as her venomous daggers aimed straight for Dante’s blind spots.
Dante took a step forward, his foot shattering the crust beneath him as he met their combined lunge head-on.
The clash in the center of the crater detonated. Marcus swung his sword of pressurized blue light, the elemental energy carving a deep trench into the sand. Dante didn’t attempt to retreat. he met the magic sword head-on.
CLANG!
The invisible edge of the Seven-Sins Asura Blade collided with the pressurized energy. The sheer physical density of Dante’s strike forced Marcus’s arms upward, the ground beneath his cracking under the massive weight distribution.
Meanwhile on other side , Esabella stood perfectly still in front of the stone pillar. Her wings were partially uncoiled, forming a protective wall that completely shielded the injured Yenna from the stray elemental sparks flying across the crater.
Her eyes were locked entirely on Nelon, who was pinned to the sand beneath the weight of her switchblade tail.
"P-Please..." Nelon whimpered, his face pale as he watched his guild leader get pushed back. The broken bones in his forearm leaked blood into the dirt. "Kill me , Just finish it... give me a quick death..."
Esabella laughed , Her long hair caught the daylight as she slowly rotated her wrist, the barbs along her thorn-vein whip humming aggressively.
"A quick death?" Esabella whispered, her voice dropping to a hollow, terrifying register. "You look at my King’s domain with lust, you threaten to touch his valuable teammate, and you think you deserve mercy? You are going to stay alive, worm. You are going to sit in this sand and bleed."
Moving with deliberate, terrifying cruelty, she snapped the tip of her whip forward. The barbs caught the edge of Nelon’s iron shoulder plate, violently peeling the volcanic armor from his skin with a rip.
"Arghhh!" Nelon shrieked, his body thrashing in agony.
Esabella didn’t look down at his tears. She kept her eyes fixed entirely on Dante’s cold profile in the center of the arena. She used her black claws to apply localized pressure directly into the open wound on Nelon’s shoulder, deliberately keeping him conscious. "Look at the field, trash. Watch closely how my Dante completely erases the masters you relied on. You don’t have permission to die until he is finished."
Yenna watched from behind the wing scales, her black cat ears twitching as she saw the absolute, serious brutality of the Dragon Queen.
At the front line, Elena saw Dante’s focus entirely locked on Marcus. Sensing a perfect opening, she turned into a blurring dark streak, her venomous daggers flashing as she went from his absolute blind spot, targeting his neck.
Dante didn’t turn his head. He willed the stone eye on his middle finger to open.
[’Weakness Extraction’ initialized.]
Through the grayscale matrix of The Asura’s Eye of Fate, the trajectory of Elena’s venomous blades appeared as a predictable vector line.
Right at the tip of her right dagger was a tiny red structural flaw.
Dante executed a quick, precise pivot. Instead of dodging, he deliberately threw his bare left forearm straight into the path of her strike.
CRACK!
The venomous blades struck his sleeve. The SSS-rank Vajra Mirror Body initialized instantly, multiplying the physical force by two and blasting it straight back into the weapons. Elena’s high-tier daggers violently shattered into thousands of tiny, useless metal shards that scattered across the black sand.
"What?!" Elena gasped, her face twisting in pure panic as she stumbled forward from the lost momentum.
Dante didn’t give her a single microsecond to recover. He took a step forward and he balled his left hand into a fist, channeling his multiplied physical density entirely into his fist.
BANG!
He drove his fist directly into the center of Elena’s stomach with absolute, ruthless power. The physical impact caved her leather chest piece inward instantly. Elena let out a ragged, strangled gasp, the force lifting her off her feet before slamming her violently onto the hard crust away.
She tumbled across the sand, coughing up blood as her body curled into a tight ball of agony.
Marcus roared in pure desperation, swinging his energy sword in a vertical execution cut. "Dante!"
Dante didn’t look back at him. He tightly gripped the invisible handle of the Seven-Sins Asura Blade with both hands, drawing a massive, dense wave of baseline energy into the hilt before executing a full-power, horizontal release.
SLASH!
A silent shockwave of pure physical density tore through the air, creating a slash that cut a wide path across the open crater. The sheer force of the unseen edge violently collided with Marcus’s magic sword, completely shattering the blue elemental blade into fragments and throwing the guild master backward into the stone ruins.
Dante didn’t pursue Marcus into the dust. He slowly turned his body, he walked toward the spot where Elena was frantically trying to push herself up.
Elena was trembling violently, her long nails clawing into the ground as she dragged her bruised body upward, her bloodshot eyes wide with pure survival terror as she looked at the approaching shadow.
Dante stopped right in front of her kneeling body. He shoved his left hand casually back into his pocket, his eyes looking down at her with a emotionless stare as he raised his invisible blade above her neck.
"It’s time to pay for what you did to Yenna," Dante said .
