Chapter 737: Conditions For Alliance

  • Next Chapter

In one of the Altier Conference Halls, Nash sat at the head table, with over 30 people around him. These representatives were all leaders or controllers of top-level cosmic team alliances under the Chronos Alliance’s territory.

"Alright, gentlemen. Tell me what you want, I don’t have much time to listen to your flattery." Nash went straight to the point.

"Lord Nash, we want to form a partnership with you, an alliance. You should’ve felt the pressure of the Major-Level Teams. If we don’t band together, we would forever be under their shadow." Teal, the leader of the Krovan Team Alliance and the spokesperson of the crowd, said.

"An alliance? It’s not a problem. But what can it bring me? I already have friendship with the Mechanical Race, Azure Heaven Alliance, and the Chronos Alliance. I’m sure as long as I pay the price, they wouldn’t mind helping me." Nash said, showing his cards.

Hearing Nash’s show of force, the crowd was in shock. Although they knew Nash had some friendship with those bigshots, they didn’t expect it would run this deep.

"An alliance is different from a vague relationship. We are in competition. Although they were willing to help you, it would be under the condition that it wouldn’t harm their interests."

"Lord Nash, don’t you have any ambition? Always sticking to the Major-Level Teams wouldn’t make you any different from their vassal. If you want to have a chance, we can only band together."

"As I said, I’m not opposed to the alliance. What I’m asking is, what can it bring to me? What can you bring to me?"

"What do you want then? Money? We can offer a commercial trade in your favor. We could also open and pool all of our resources and manpower. More importantly, we can explore together in the unexplored domain areas and harvest more resources without much safety concern."

"It’s not enough..."

"We can also allow you to lead the alliance and have an unconditional 20% cut of all our profit in the expedition. If you need something, we could help you at a lower price than what the other major teams offered."

At this moment, Nash realized things weren’t so simple. Initially, he had only been testing them; he didn’t expect they would almost offer their authority.

"Do you want me to help you with the Forbidden Zone?" Nash asked, guessing.

"Lord Nash is really a smart man. We can offer all of these conditions in hopes that you would help us clear the danger in our territory." Teal smiled. Besides Nash’s potential, what they wanted most was to borrow the Altier Arcane Cannon to kill the tier 9 dark beast residing in their territory.

"Do you want me to make an enemy of those Major-Level Teams?" Nash hurriedly shook his head and disagreed.

So far, there was an unspoken rule preventing top-level teams from helping others. Even if they could help them, it was under the guise of a complete merger, becoming a subordinate of the other. Since it was advantageous to them, they didn’t care about this unspoken rule.

"We have already approached the other top-level teams. The majority of them planned to ally together and break the monopoly of the Major-Level Teams. Helping fellow alliance members would naturally be logical, wouldn’t it?"

"Oh? Is this true?"

If this was the case, then the landscape of the cosmic competition would greatly change.

Instead of the Major-Level Teams being at the top and the rest at the bottom, the top-level teams would gather their strength into a single force and seek the slightest chance to fight back. With the 100-year peace treaty, as long as they could form a decent enough force, it wasn’t impossible to stand side by side with the Major-Level Teams.

"It’s true, in fact. The largest team that allied together was composed of over 3,000 top-level teams. We can barely be called an alliance compared to them." Teal sighed.

There were only over 10,000 top-level teams in this cosmic competition, representing each of their galactic territories. However, because of the pressure of the Major-Level Teams, almost a third were forced to band together.

Not having enough influence and strength, the remaining top-level teams could only seek their own alliance to even have a chance of survival.

Falling into deep thought, Nash’s mind began to run rapidly, deducing the following course of events. He even used soul enlightenment to look at some areas he might have overlooked.

"Fine, I can help you and lead the alliance. However, I need a corresponding payment." Nash said.

"Anything you ask, Lord Nash. Besides the Chaos Stones needed to recharge the Altier Arcane Cannon, you can ask for anything."

"I want Tier 8 Mother Core Ships and population."

So far, the Neon Star Alliance only had four Tier 8 mother core ships. Although they had materials ready to replicate them, it took over three years to manufacture one. Furthermore, during this time, all its productive capacity would be stopped, rendering it useless.

In the 9 years since they got the Tier 8 mother core ship, they had only initiated 2 replications. The first to double the number, and the second quadrupled it. If they could get a batch of mother core ships, the growth would be exponential.

"Tier 8 Mother Core Ships? How many do you need? What kind of population do you need? Scientists? Professionals? Or what?"

"For each Forbidden Zone, I need 10 Tier 8 mother core ships. For population, I want you to repeat the population expansion movement we’ve done in the Neon Star Domain. I will pay for all expenses, from payments, transportation, and a host of other things."

Hearing Nash’s conditions, everyone stood silent, calculating the cost they had to bear.

10 tier 8 mother core ships were not a problem. When converted into Chaos Stones, it only cost about a hundred thousand. Furthermore, given the materials, they could be replicated without a problem.

The thing that made them frown was the latter condition. Looking at the information Nash sent, they already had a headache over how to operate it.
