I Can Program My Body?

Chapter 775: Mind Link Module

  • Next Chapter

As everyone bound to the Universal Runic System, the Eternal Star Alliance began to move as one body. Connected by the unknown, their growth began to get faster and faster.

At this moment, it was not just the cosmic elites or the powerful who were constantly evolving; every citizen, down to the humblest civilian, was.

Granted information, access, and ability beyond imagination, everyone seemed to have gained wings and begun to soar.

In the Eternal Star Control Center, the movements and paths everyone needed to follow were being rapidly calculated inside.

In this place, there were trillions of high-level civilization managers and thousands of Tier 8 mechanical beings. To run the civilization machine, they reviewed and analyzed every task, policy, and decision down to the last detail.

The civilization managers’ job was to conceptualize the ideal path, while the mechanical beings connected to everyone and executed it. From macro to micro control, the Eternal Star Alliance’s operation, though seemingly chaotic, rested on their shoulders.

"Supreme Steward, if this continues, our Merit Source reserve will be gone."

With users surging from a mere 10 septillion to over 120 septillion, the pressure everyone felt was enormous. Although it seemed the workload had merely grown by 12 times, the interconnection between each individual made them as vast as the stars.

Because of the pressure, everyone requested a separate Eternal Time Server where time reached a magnitude of 100,000, to calculate everything thoroughly.

This action indeed worked wonders, even giving them plenty of time to think of ingenious ideas to further improve the Eternal Star Alliance. However, with three Eternal Time Servers, the Eternal Star University Time Tower, and the workers of the dimensional-scale dark gate, their Merit Source was rapidly depleting.

"Don’t worry, just do your best. I already reported everything to Supreme Leader Nash. Lord Teal also said they would begin their expedition in a few months." Julius said, calming everyone down.

Now that the Eternal Star Alliance was developing rapidly, they didn’t want a hiccup that would stall them.

---

Meanwhile, on the other side of the void, the other major alliances quickly noticed the sudden surge of activity in the Eternal Star Alliance.

Activating their spies and liaisons, they quickly learned that everyone had bound to the Universal Runic System. Upon learning this, shock and alarm filled their hearts. They deduced that Nash must have either advanced or built a technology or treasure to amplify his genetic ability.

What made them uneasy was the scale of the matter. With everyone binding the Universal Runic System, even a mortal would be no worse than a regular cosmic elite. Facing septillions of cosmic elites, how could they not be afraid? Even the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance was nothing compared to that.

Wary of the Eternal Star Alliance’s growth, they couldn’t help but accelerate their development. The Tier 8 Scientific Paragons behind them also began independently developing a weapon of mass destruction that could conquer the others in a single strike.

As for the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance and the God Emperor Knight Alliance, they continued their steady advancement, waiting for a chance.

---

Soon, a month after Nash completed the Mind Hive Module System, he finished creating the Mind Link Module System.

This module was merely a peripheral system to mobilize surplus computational power he couldn’t use.

"It’s done." Since it was merely an extension of the Mind Hive Module, creating it wasn’t too hard. Of course, this was relative. The time it took him, counting the time acceleration, was still hundreds of thousands of years.

"Let’s see how this will further accelerate the growth of the Eternal Star Alliance."

After integrating the Mind Link Module into the Mind Hive Module and the Universal Runic System, Nash returned to the real world, planning to rest for a while.

---

In Eternal Time Server 01:

Just as everyone went about their usual routine, completing their quota of engraving 3 runic patterns each day, the Universal Runic System began to ring.

[Universal Runic System Updating...]

"Update? There’s finally an update?"

"What could it be?"

"Is this the new module we’ve been working on?"

Until now, they still didn’t know what they were working on, or that it was already completed. They still faithfully completed each task, racking up contribution points.

Even as the Universal Runic System became widespread, they thought their Supreme Leader had advanced, not that he had optimized it into a godlike tier.

Soon, as the Universal Runic System completed its update, they couldn’t wait to open the new module. Tapping on the module tab, they saw the Mind Link Module System.

[Scanning for eligibility...]

[Eligibility confirmed]

[Scanning for soul capacity...]

[Soul Capacity Limit Confirmed.]

[Mind Link Module System (new)

Computational Power: 200 million

Time: 10 minutes]

"There’s even an eligibility requirement? A Soul Capacity Limit?"

"No, what is this new module even for?"

Although they understood every word on the panel, they still couldn’t figure out how to use it.

Fortunately, there was a little question mark icon at the bottom. After they tapped it, all the details and instructions on the Mind Link Module System were transferred into their minds.

"I see, so this is what the Mind Link Module is for!" They couldn’t help but tremble in excitement.

With the new module, they could boost their computational power based on the strength of their soul capacity. The stronger their soul capacity, the more computational power they could receive, and the longer they could keep the module active.

"200 million? What about you guys, how much do you have?"

"220 million."

"250 million."

"280 million."

"210 million."

"290 million."

Tabulating everyone’s stats, they quickly calculated the average. For Tier 6 runic engravers like them, the average was 200-300 million. Tier 7 and Tier 8 engravers were the same; the only difference was that their time limit ranged from hours to days.

Based on this, soul capacity was a foundation they couldn’t change at their current level, while the time limit depended on how much their bodies could bear.

With that understood, they quickly activated the Mind Link Module. Suddenly, their minds cleared like the sky after rain, and every detail they hadn’t understood before seemed obvious.

Those archaic bodies of knowledge, difficult-to-comprehend laws, and formulas were as clear as the sky after the rain.

However, just when they were about to continue comprehending, they noticed the rapidly dwindling Soul Crystals.

"No, this is so expensive!"

"Who would even use this?"

Although the Mind Link Module increased their computational power by 2-3 times, the price was not proportional to the result. In that case, wasn’t it better to grind away comprehending laws over time?

"Idiot. Either use the Mind Link Module to break through a bottleneck or to earn more money!"

At this moment, while others still marveled at their skyrocketing computational power, drunk on the illusion of enlightenment, the rest had already begun engraving runic patterns like frantic machines!

With the added computational power in their minds, it was as if they had an extra intelligent assistant in their heads.

The runic pattern that had been prone to failure now looked like a circle they only needed to color in. Whether in precision, speed, or consistency, the additional computational power was like a godly assistant.

Every second, runic patterns that usually took them hundreds of tries were now being completed seconds after seconds.

In these ten minutes, if they didn’t fail even once, they could engrave at least a hundred runic patterns! Compared to the rapidly dwindling Soul Crystals, the computational power they earned was multiple times more!

Realizing this, the others quickly joined the frenzy, afraid of wasting even a second they could use to engrave a runic pattern.

Forget the quota of 3 a day, even if they engraved only during this ten-minute window, they could engrave a hundred more!

---

Meanwhile, as elite runic engravers went into a frenzy in Eternal Time Server 01, the professionals and scientists in Eternal Time Server 02 felt a euphoric enlightenment.

The additional computational power from the Mind Link Module didn’t just give them a quantitative boost; it gave them a qualitative one.

Ideas they had never thought of, angles they had never seen, and solutions they had thought impossible poured into their minds as if floodgates had opened.

The Eternal Star Dimensional Array Formation that had seemed impossible to create before had become a mere calculation. Even without relying on Nash, they were confident they could complete this task in less than a year.

Unfortunately, before they could finish, the Mind Link Module deactivated as their soul strain reached the limit.

"No! Just a little more! A little more!"

"Why is it ending? I can handle it, just give me a few minutes!"

"Lord Nash! Where is Lord Nash?! Just give us more time, we’re certainly still within the limit!"

As if suffering a withdrawal reaction, the scientists and professionals in Eternal Time Server 02 couldn’t help but tremble. The additional computational power was like an addictive drug more potent than any elixir.

From feeling like gods to being mortals again, how could they accept this state?

Unfortunately, no matter how much they begged, Nash was already on vacation with Camilla and Elizabeth. Having worked himself to exhaustion, using time magnified millions of times, he’d had enough.

Having completed the Mind Hive Module System and the supporting Mind Link Module System, it was time for him to take a well-deserved vacation.

He would handle the bulky, scattered Universal Runic System and optimize the outdated module systems once those elite runic engravers accumulated more runic patterns.

For now, he planned to spend the rest of his time doing nothing: no research, no training, no work.

"I deserve some rest too..."
