I Can Replicate Martial Arts

Chapter 619 - 350: The Immortal Dao Flourishes, Longevity and Lasting Vision

  • Next Chapter

As news of the broken seal spread and the many Domain Realm masters descended from the mountains, all of Blue Star was left reeling in shock.

While the rise of the Martial Dao and humanity’s thirst for its power—the desire to stand above others—had already caused people to flock to its practice...

...the emergence of the Immortal Dao sent all of human society into a frenzy.

It was for no other reason than the pursuit of eternal life.

No matter how strong the Martial Dao became, it only offered strength. The Immortal Dao was different. Even if you weren’t powerful—merely at the initial Foundation Establishment or Golden Core Realm—your lifespan would still increase dramatically. Forget five or six hundred years; even an extra two or three hundred was enough to drive the world’s most powerful figures into a frenzy.

After all, from ancient times to the present, even emperors have been unable to escape the desire for long life, forever craving a greater lifespan.

For humankind, the allure of a long life was simply too great.

Now, with the news of the Immortal Dao spreading, every major power scrambled into action.

A tide of fervent searching for ancient Daoist scriptures and cultivation techniques swept across society.

Seemingly overnight, Blue Star was filled with Martial Artists going into seclusion to cultivate immortal arts.

Even the world’s authorities began to tacitly permit these developments.

The Martial Dao could not grant longevity. To pursue it, one would have to destroy their Dantian and Qi Sea and start over with immortal techniques.

However, becoming an Immortal wasn’t necessarily any easier than mastering the Martial Dao.

Conversely, ordinary people with no aptitude for the Martial Dao—a blank slate—could, if conditions were unexpectedly right, begin cultivating Taoist Scriptures and immortal techniques from the very beginning.

Some of those in power also logically joined the ranks of cultivators.

The sea of stars was vast, the celestial vault boundless.

In an unknown corner of space and time, there floated a colossal, boundless landmass, its length and width spanning untold tens of billions of kilometers.

Above the continent, sun, moon, and stars revolved in their courses, while wind, rain, frost, and snow fell without cease.

Upon the vast cloud layers high above the continent lived humans dressed in ancient-style robes.

Every one of them possessed the ethereal bearing of an immortal, their aura truly extraordinary.

Within a grand hall, a man with a white beard and the look of a young boy slammed his hand on a nearby railing and roared, "How dare they! To actually break the seal from ten thousand years ago!"

"This Blue Star is remarkably similar to the Ancestral Star. Now that its seal is broken, does this mean the seal on the Ancestral Star has likely loosened as well?"

"Regardless, the seal must be restored. Otherwise, the Grand Astral Array will be unable to summon the Divine Power of the heavens, and its might will be severely diminished," the man at the head of the hall, who had a broad nose, thick eyebrows, and a calm demeanor, swept his gaze over the others and spoke with sudden gravity.

"We obey the decree!"

As the business in the hall concluded, tranquility returned to the vast expanse of clouds.

「Blue Star, Qingcheng Mountain.」

Zhao Rui had called together Yu Zhengnan, the Sect Leader of the Sword Sect, and Yun Hao.

"Our Qingcheng Sword Sect’s heritage is the direct lineage of Qingcheng’s Daoist Techniques. With the Immortal Dao now flourishing, this is the time for our Qingcheng Sword Sect to finally hold our heads high. Sect Leader, Senior Brother Yun Hao, your grasp of the Daoist Techniques is profound. This is the perfect opportunity," Zhao Rui said with a smile, his gaze sweeping over the two men.

"You are absolutely right, Junior Brother. On a whim these past two days, I, your Senior Brother, decided to re-examine the Daoist Techniques I’ve learned. To my surprise, a moment of inspiration struck, and I actually broke through to the Foundation Establishment stage!"

Yu Zhengnan laughed heartily.

While his talent in the Martial Dao wasn’t bad, it was merely average. Compared to prodigies like Yun Hao, he was more than a little lacking.

Because of this, he had never been able to achieve much. If not for Zhao Rui’s support, he would have lost his position as Sect Leader long ago.

He never would have imagined that while he failed to excel in martial arts, he possessed an extraordinary talent for Daoist Techniques.

He had only just begun to study the seal, yet he had already reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, his lifespan instantly increasing to two hundred years.

"Congratulations on your good fortune, Senior Brother. Since you have already found your footing on this path, I’ll have to trouble you with the matter of instructing our disciples," Zhao Rui said with a smile.
