Chapter 634: The Latest Theory of the Universe, The Matryoshka

The universe keeps no calendar!

In the primordial expanse, time does not pass.

At some unknown point in time, the universe was born from chaos…

The Carefree Divine Venerable spoke eloquently.

Everyone listened with rapt attention. These were secrets of the universe that only an ancient creature like him, who had traversed the cosmos for countless eons, could possibly know.

Even Zhao Rui, despite his immense power, was completely ignorant of these matters.

“According to ancient legend, the universe was born from chaos. In turn, chaos is born from within the starry expanse of the universe…

Every world that a universe forms eventually evolves into countless chaotic black holes. From within these black holes, new and different universes are born.

Each universe is an independent world, yet they are all intimately connected.

Their fates are intertwined—they rise and fall as one.

The Immortal Realm is one such black hole universe. It was born in the void and gradually grew in power.

After tens of billions of years of development, it had already formed a new and great universe, sprawling and full of life.

Later, the Human Race rose from an Ancient Star. They developed with incredible speed, steadily consuming the surrounding inhabited planets and celestial territories, forging a great and powerful Star Realm.

This was the predecessor of the Immortal Realm.

Later, the great powers of the Immortal Realm discovered another mighty faction in the depths of the universe, one strong enough to rival their own.

This faction was not whole—one could even say it was in a state of considerable decay—yet its power was by no means weak.

Faced with the ascendant Immortal Realm, it was at a slight disadvantage, but it remained an extraordinary force nonetheless.

That force was the Divine Court.

The appearance of the Divine Court left the Immortals of the Immortal Realm—who considered themselves the center of the universe—utterly aghast. They had always believed they were the ultimate power in this cosmos.

Only to discover that another faction of incomparable past glory had existed before them.

Perhaps it was due to mutual apprehension, or perhaps their most powerful experts had once clashed, only to fight to a stalemate.

In any case, for the eons that followed, the two great factions developed independently, never interfering with one another.

Until one day, the first Immortal Emperor of the Immortal Realm discovered the black hole universes hidden within their own.

Only then did they realize that every black hole was, in fact, an immeasurable cosmic world.

By that logic, it was highly probable that their own universe was also a black hole universe, one that had evolved from a black hole within a greater, preceding universe.

If that were true, the Divine Court had most likely fled here from that greater universe.

Logically, this speculation should have alerted the Immortals to the dangers of that greater universe.

However, even as Immortals, the yearning for power etched into their very bones was impossible to suppress.

Finally, a great power from the Immortal Realm cultivated supreme Divine Techniques and, by his strength alone, shattered the universe’s Boundary Wall, crossing over from his own universe into the greater one.

Upon arriving in the greater universe, this powerful expert was astonished to find that his own strength had undergone an incredible evolution.

It was as if the very tier of his Energy had been elevated.

With this realization, the great power finally glimpsed a thread of the truth.

The Divine Court hadn’t fled from the greater universe at all. Instead, they had ascended from a lesser universe.

They had originally been a cosmic faction born from a black hole within this very universe.

Having figured this out, the powerful expert quietly remained in the greater universe to pursue his Cultivation. He neither returned to his home universe nor sent back a single shred of information.

Only after countless ages had passed, when he failed in an attempt to ascend to an even higher-level universe, did he realize the truth: an individual’s power alone was not enough to break through a universal Boundary Wall.

Only by gathering the collective will of an entire race could one cross into a higher cosmic tier and achieve true immortality.

And so, this great power resolutely returned to his home universe.
