Chapter 51: Chapter 49: Family Reunion, Dad Is Actually a Superpower User!

A moment later.

All the array experience and cultivation boosts were completely absorbed. Liu Zimo’s breathing grew shallow, his aura entirely concealed. The Copper Skin, Iron Bone, and Golden Body states fused into one seamless entity. Fetal Breathing circulated endlessly within him—bright and profound, pure and flawless, simple and natural. He had officially stepped into the Fetal Breath Realm, advancing to become a Grandmaster of the Martial Dao!

His Divine Soul Cultivation followed suit. His Sea of Consciousness expanded once more, and his Spiritual Essence multiplied. From the initial Spiritual Essence Realm, he smoothly broke through to the higher-tier Spirit Communication Realm! With both his Spiritual Energy and Martial Dao advancing, his overall cultivation strength skyrocketed to more than ten times what it had been before the breakthrough! No wonder he had excitedly declared that he would never share the same sky with evil.

Empowered by the Heaven-Stealing Superpower, every time he killed a wicked Martial Artist, he gained a substantial amount of Martial Arts Cultivation and Spiritual Power Cultivation. It was no different from slaying monsters to level up in a video game. Those villains were nothing more than experience points! This allowed him to punish evil, eliminate the wicked, and build his reputation, all while rapidly increasing his own cultivation strength through constant combat. It was a win-win situation; why wouldn’t he do it?

As for whether this would offend certain Martial Arts Sects or powerful families? Liu Zimo’s attitude was simple: let them come! He was just thinking that there weren’t enough targets to harvest. If they were willing to deliver themselves to his doorstep, he would be more than happy to oblige!

Having officially stepped into the Grandmaster Realm, his physical defense was now ten times that of the Golden Body Realm, rendering all conventional Firearms useless against him. Even if a pre-apocalyptic missile struck him directly, it might not heavily injure a Martial Arts Grandmaster. At this moment, Liu Zimo couldn’t claim to stand at the absolute pinnacle of the Great Xia’s Martial Dao or be entirely invincible, but at this current stage, he could already stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the three great Martial Saints of the Post-Apocalypse. Naturally, he had no fear of those Martial Arts Sects or powerful families.

A short while later.

Liu Zimo opened his eyes from his Meditation, seeing Yang Sisi and Feihong standing guard on either side of him. On a dilapidated commercial building not far away, a long strip of white silk hung in the air, glaringly conspicuous under the sunlight. The crimes of Jing Yong and Xuanqing were written on the silk in blood—simple and clear, yet every word read like a weeping accusation. The corpses of the two men dangled from the ends of the silk, their azure and bright yellow Daoist robes clearly identifying them as disciples of Dragon Tiger Mountain.

Liu Zimo wanted to make a public statement. If he dared to execute even the erring disciples of Dragon Tiger Mountain, others would definitely have to weigh the consequences before harboring any wicked intentions!

"Thank you for your hard work!" Liu Zimo stood up and gave the two women a slight nod.

Drawing on his newly acquired knowledge of Arrays, he casually dismantled the Profound Level Illusion Array that Jing Yong had set up earlier, collecting the Array Materials one by one for future use. Having absorbed the Array knowledge and deployment experience of both Jing Yong and Xuanqing, and with his own Divine Soul Cultivation advancing to the Spirit Communication Realm, Liu Zimo’s mastery of the Array Dao was no longer much inferior to the living Jing Yong. As long as he wanted to, he could easily deploy a Profound Level Illusion Array of the same caliber to trap his enemies at any time.

After packing everything away, Liu Zimo called out to the two women. "Let’s go. We’ll stop by my place first, then head to the Military Staff Department in the city to report in!"

Yang Sisi and Ye Feihong naturally had no objections. They habitually took their places beside him as he took to the sky once more. Unlike before, Liu Zimo didn’t even release his Martial Arts Domain this time. He simply enveloped the two of them with his externalized Spiritual Thought and lifted off, flying at speeds over five times faster than before his breakthrough!

SWISH!

The two women felt a flash of light and shadow before Liu Zimo set them back down. By the time they regained their bearings and focused on their surroundings, they found themselves inside an extremely dim room where all the windows had been boarded up. Fortunately, both of them had already broken through to the Iron Bone Realm and achieved Divine Communication with their eyes, granting them the ability to see perfectly in the dark. Otherwise, their eyes would have needed quite some time to adjust to such gloom.

"Is this Advisor Liu’s home?" Yang Sisi wondered. "Looking at the furnishings, it’s a bit messy, but there are no signs of forceful destruction. It probably hasn’t been attacked by Demon Beasts. Moreover, there seem to be two breathing sounds coming from the inner room. It must be Advisor Liu’s family!"

Yang Sisi’s gaze swept across the area, quickly taking in the state of the room. When she sensed living people inside, she breathed a sigh of relief. While secretly feeling glad for Liu Zimo, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of sorrow. As expected of Dongyang Province’s capital city, its defense level was truly incomparable to her small, fourth-tier hometown. If her family had been in a top-tier city like Shangjing or Luozhou, perhaps they would have had a much better chance of survival!

Unlike Yang Sisi, Liu Zimo’s expression changed slightly when he sensed only two living presences in the bedroom. "Uncle Hongzhang and Zihao are both here, but where did Dad go?!" he thought.

With his Divine Soul Cultivation breaking through to the Spirit Communication Realm, Liu Zimo’s perception had multiplied. Even separated by a wall, he instantly identified the two people inside. Zhao Hongzhang and Liu Zihao were both there, but his dad, Liu Yi, was nowhere to be found! "Did something happen after all?!" Liu Zimo thought, his heart clenching. Without hesitation, he rushed over to the door of the room where his uncle and brother were.

"Uncle Hongzhang! Hao! I’m back, open the door!" he called out. Since the door was locked from the inside, Liu Zimo refrained from breaking it down by force for fear of hurting them, choosing to shout from the doorway instead.

"Zimo?!"

A response came quickly from inside, followed by a flurry of hurried footsteps.

CLICK!

The door opened, letting out a faint candlelight. Liu Zihao rushed out with a look of pleasant surprise, throwing himself at Liu Zimo who stood at the threshold. The teenage boy burst into loud, unabashed tears the moment he hugged him.

"Zimo! You’re finally back!" he cried. "You have no idea how worried I was these past few days. I was so scared you’d never come back!"

As expected, he only had the strength of the initial Body Refining Realm; the first wave of Spiritual Energy baptism had failed to help his younger brother achieve Foundation Establishment and step over the threshold of the Martial Dao. After habitually sensing Liu Zihao’s physical condition, Liu Zimo gently pushed the boy out of his arms and asked softly, "Alright, you’re too old to be crying like this! Tell me, where’s Dad? Why is it just you and Uncle Hongzhang at home?"

Liu Zihao wiped the tears from his face and calmed himself down before answering. "Uncle Hongzhang is sick. He’s had a high fever that won’t go down, and he’s been stuck in bed for two days without getting any better. Dad was worried something worse would happen if he kept dragging it out, so he snuck out to find medicine for him!"

Uncle Hongzhang was sick?

Liu Zimo’s heart sank. No wonder he had sensed that his uncle’s breathing was erratic and his aura extremely weak. However, going out to find medicine at a time like this was simply too dangerous! The Demon Beasts in the city had yet to be fully cleared out, and there were still plenty of villains like Jing Yong and Xuanqing running rampant in the shadows. It was far too risky for an Ordinary person like his dad to go out scavenging for medicine under these circumstances!

Seeing that his older brother’s expression was a bit off, clearly worried about their father’s safety, Liu Zihao spoke up again. "But you don’t need to worry at all, Zimo. Dad is a Superman now too. He’ll definitely come back safely!"

"Huh?" Liu Zimo raised an eyebrow, asking in surprise, "What do you mean? Did Dad awaken a Superpower too?!"

"Yeah!" Liu Zihao nodded vigorously, his eyes full of envy. "On the night the disaster broke out, Dad suddenly gained the ability of Invisibility. It’s so cool! It’s a pity that Uncle Hongzhang and I didn’t have such good luck. We’re still totally weak..."

Just as they were speaking, the sound of a lock turning came from the front door. Soon, the entrance door opened, then closed and locked tightly once more. From beginning to end, Liu Zimo, Yang Sisi, and Ye Feihong didn’t see a single trace of a person.

FSSSH!

A match appeared out of thin air and flared to life, lighting a half-stub of a candle resting on the shoe cabinet by the door. As the candlelight flared, it banished the darkness, illuminating the entire living room.

"Holy crap!" an unexpected voice exclaimed from the seemingly empty entryway. "Who are you people? Why are you in our house?!"

Illuminated by the candlelight, the figures of Yang Sisi and Ye Feihong standing in the living room were particularly conspicuous. Evidently, suddenly seeing two strangers in his home had given the invisible Liu Yi quite a scare.

"Dad, it’s me. I’m back, and these two are my friends!" Liu Zimo chimed in at the right moment. Under his Spiritual Sense, his dad’s figure was clear as day. Of course, more importantly, he could perfectly see the blue-glowing Shadow Lock hovering above his father’s head. After awakening a Superpower, the Shadow Lock above his father’s head was no longer ordinary white; it had leaped to a deep blue, its radiance glowing a full five times stronger than before!

"Not bad, it’s definitely an Invisibility Element Superpower!" Liu Zimo nodded in confirmation. Except for Divine Soul Cultivators with exceptionally powerful Spiritual Power, even Grandmaster Realm Martial Artists wouldn’t be able to detect his aura or movements without activating their Martial Arts Domains! It was a highly practical Superpower—at least in the early stages of the Post-Apocalypse, it was an absolute lifesaver.

"Mo?! You kid, you’re finally back!" Hearing his eldest son’s voice, Liu Yi quickly deactivated his Invisibility and hurried inside, overjoyed. "It’s good that you’re back. It’s good that you’re back!" Upon coming closer and seeing that his son had all his limbs intact, was in good spirits, and showed no signs of injury, Liu Yi breathed a long sigh of relief. With reddened eyes, he sighed heavily. "I’ve been so worried these past few days that I couldn’t even sleep peacefully! I kept hoping you’d come back safely, terrified that you might have met with some accident out there! But everything is fine now. Our family is finally reunited, completely intact and not missing a single person!"
