I Carry a Game World With Me
Chapter 212 - 195: Delivering Himself to My Doorstep?
Chapter 212: Chapter 195: Delivering Himself to My Doorstep?
The Dada Clan was located in the southern part of Dalat Town.
Dalron immediately led his men back to their base.
Feisen’s attitude earlier that day had thoroughly pissed him off.
The other two were, of course, just as furious.
Therefore, the Kudar Clan would bear the brunt of their fury.
’Besides, that person from Eastern Hua Country should have been captured by now, so there’s no need to make Feisen hand over the new weapon designs.’
But when Dalron returned to the base, he was met with the sight of several wretched-looking figures.
He frowned at the sight.
They were the very men he had sent to carry out the ambush.
"What happened? What’s the situation?" Dalron demanded, his expression grim.
The man in charge answered sheepishly, "Dalron, sir, we miscalculated. The team the Kudar Clan sent for the pickup was no ordinary group. Their marksmanship was incredible, and their speed and reflexes far surpassed ours."
"They’re clearly not ordinary men. I doubt even special forces are that skilled. What’s more, they had a sharpshooter who kept us completely pinned down."
"With our casualties mounting, we had no choice but to retreat. They’ve probably returned to the Kudar Clan’s base by now."
Dalron’s expression grew even darker at his words. "So Feisen and the Kudar Clan truly are ambitious, prepared for anything... Fine. Let’s see if they can withstand the combined attack of our three clans!"
With that, he yelled to a few of his confidants, "Gather our men! As of today, the Kudar Clan is history!"
Without a moment’s hesitation, his confidants left to assemble their forces.
’Even on the way back, I knew war was about to break out,’ he thought. ’After today, Dalat Town will be short one Kudar Clan.’
But just as his men left, the sound of battle suddenly erupted from within the Dada Clan’s base.
This stunned every member of the Dada Clan.
Dalron had just sat down in the main hall when the sound made him leap to his feet. "What’s going on?" he barked.
A moment later, a subordinate stumbled in, panic-stricken. "Dalron, sir! It’s bad! A group has broken into the Dada Clan base! I think it’s the Kudar Clan!"
Dalron’s face twisted in anger. "Damn it! I haven’t even taught them a lesson, and they’re here to offer up their lives? Hold them back! Our reinforcements will be here any minute."
The subordinate’s face was pale. "Dalron, sir, we can’t stop them! They’re too good. They fight like special forces—no, better than ordinary special forces. Marksmanship, speed, reflexes... our men are no match. The defensive line on that side has already been shattered, and there are so many of them."
Dalron gasped at the report. ’Better than ordinary special forces? Since when did the Kudar Clan have a unit like that?’
The sounds of battle grew nearer.
A hint of panic finally showed on Dalron’s face.
His trusted men had gone to assemble his forces.
His men had not yet assembled.
And yet, the enemy had already stormed his stronghold.
Crucially, he had never prepared for such an eventuality.
He had never believed anyone in Dalat Town was capable of pulling this off.
’Are the Dada Clan’s defenses that easy to breach?’
’Even a brief stalemate should have given the Dada Clan enough time to surround and annihilate the enemy. Even if the entire Kudar Clan threw everything they had at them, they shouldn’t have been able to shatter the line this quickly.’
But this situation was completely beyond his expectations.
’The Kudar Clan shouldn’t even have this kind of strength!’
"Go! Gather everyone!" Dalron yelled urgently to his subordinate, turning to head in the other direction.
But suddenly, a WHIZ split the air, and Dalron howled in agony as he was thrown forward.
By the time he hit the ground, he was clutching his thigh, blood spraying everywhere.
His leg had been blown open at the knee, pierced clean through.
The grisly wound alone screamed ’sniper.’
Fortunately, his fall had taken him behind cover.
"AARGH..."
Seeing Dalron’s agonized screams, his men rushed to help, but the first one to get close had a blossom of blood erupt from his chest as he fell dead.
This sent the remaining men into a panic.
"Sniper!"
"Impossible! A sniper shouldn’t be able to hit this position!"
「Elsewhere.」
A sniper reported mockingly into his comms, "Red Lizard, target hit. I only broke one of his legs. No one can get to him, but he’s behind cover now."
Inside the Dada Clan’s base, Red Lizard received the report and barked with a laugh, "Let’s move! I’ll finish that Dalron off personally!"
He was in high spirits. After all, these were the men he had trained, and this was their very first mission—even if the real credit belonged to the core team provided by President Lu.
’Still, those retired special forces instructors are the real deal.’
This decapitation strike was their design. It called for a breach at a specific point in the Dada Clan’s base. If the assault was fast and fierce enough, it would force Dalron to flee in a particular direction.
And that direction would lead him right into the sights of the sniper he had put in place.
Under normal circumstances, given the terrain around the Dada Clan’s base, a sniper couldn’t make that shot. That was precisely why Dalron had chosen this location for his stronghold.
’But the sniper I deployed is using a new weapon with a much longer range.’
Soon, Red Lizard and his men broke through the last line of defense and saw Dalron in the distance.
When Dalron saw Red Lizard and his squad, the color drained completely from his face.
Seeing this, the subordinates around him lost all courage and scattered in a panic.
Red Lizard and his men raised their weapons at Dalron. A concentrated burst of fire followed, riddling his body with bullets until he resembled a hornet’s nest.
This was the decapitation strike.
The fighting within the Dada Clan’s base was naturally noticed by everyone in Dalat Town; the sounds carried far and wide.
However, no one knew exactly what was happening inside.
And no one would have believed that Dalron had been so easily assassinated in his own stronghold.
...
Meanwhile, at the Bubur Clan’s base, Fire Silica had also returned to his own territory. He too was immediately greeted by the sight of his men, returned from their failed mission.
’I can’t believe a joint operation by all three clans to capture one person still ended in failure,’ he thought.
But it didn’t matter. He immediately summoned everyone in the Bubur Clan.
Warriors stood in neat formations, a vast number of them, and every single one was armed.
These men would follow him to wipe out the Kudar Clan.
’Since capturing him is off the table, I’ll just have to take what I want by force.’
Just then, a man rushed in. "Fire Silica, sir! A fierce battle has broken out at the Dada Clan’s base!"
Upon hearing the report, Fire Silica immediately exclaimed, "The Dada Clan... It must be the Kudar Clan! A preemptive strike? Trying to divide and conquer?"
Realizing this possibility, he waved his hand and mobilized his men. ’Since we’ve allied to destroy the Kudar Clan and share the new weapon designs, I can’t let them get the upper hand. We have to support the Dada Clan, no matter what.’
But as Fire Silica led the men of the Bubur Clan out of their base, the sight that greeted him made him freeze.
A lone figure had appeared outside their base, standing perfectly still.
When Fire Silica saw this figure, his eyes lit up.
The man was clearly the one from Eastern Hua Country.
A realization dawned on him. This was the man behind the Kudar Clan’s new weapons.
’Did he just deliver himself to my doorstep?’
