I Conquer Hell and Heaven With 666 Trillion Coins
Chapter 72: Buckingham Palace and Summit Meeting
As the week went by, everything had started to go well.
Harry Lawrance and his family had become quite accustomed to life at the castle. Harry’s mother had become one of the castle’s cooks, whilst his sister had begun preparing to take lessons from some of the finest tutors in England.
Head-Butler Liam was carrying on with his duties very well, teaching Harry how to behave in Dean’s presence.
Dean, meanwhile, had continued to train with Percival throughout this period, having left hundreds of duels behind them.
He had now truly begun to use his Holy Power effectively, and as a result, everything had started to improve.
When the weekend drew to a close and Monday arrived, Dean, having made his preparations the previous day, joined Raviel and set off on their journey to London.
The summit meeting was to take place at Buckingham Palace in London.
Yes, the current head of the British Royal Family, Queen Liana Aldercrest, was herself a player of Cosmic Terror.
This also applied to the rest of the royal family’s main line.
Naturally, this meant the summit had to be held there.
After a nearly three-hour private flight, they reached London.
Dean would never have imagined in his wildest dreams that he would actually set foot inside Buckingham Palace, but life had a way of throwing unexpected twists their way.
After Raviel and Dean arrived at the Palace, they went through several security checks and were subsequently granted entry.
As soon as they entered the waiting room, Dean’s measurements were taken in full, and bespoke clothing had been fitted for him in just half a day.
At tomorrow’s meeting, Dean would be wearing a white suit, black shoes, a black tie and a pair of glasses.
No one would actually see the glasses, though, as the Mask of Mist was right there on his face.
Dean had, to be honest, questioned why this was necessary; he’d even wondered, as if he were in a spy film, whether these glasses would get him past the security scan.
Raviel, however, had laughed quite heartily at this question.
When the day finally drew to a close, and Tuesday arrived, Dean had woken up feeling incredibly energetic.
Considering that just a few months earlier he’d been working like a slave, the fact that he’d now woken up inside Buckingham Palace itself struck him as rather comical.
After waking up and getting himself properly ready, he’d immediately put the Mask of Mist on his face and tried to fit the glasses over the mask.
When he couldn’t manage it, he’d got annoyed, put the glasses back in his inventory, and left his room.
As he left his room, he was met by a butler, who addressed him with the following words:
"The Royal Family and the remaining leading families are awaiting you to commence the summit meeting, sir."
It seemed that news of Dean’s presence had already spread throughout the entire palace.
Upon hearing these words, Dean shook his head and simply replied, "Show me the way."
When Dean reached the designated area, the person waiting for him at the door was Raviel.
Raviel was wearing a black dress covered in star patterns. Her bright red eyes and jet-black hair served to highlight the dress’s beauty even further.
Her figure was striking; words could scarcely do justice to her beauty.
Dean could actually feel his ears beginning to burn.
Raviel really did look stunning.
"Raviel," Dean said simply.
"Dean, may I take your arm?" Raviel asked simply.
It seemed the Evergold family wanted to make it clear whose side Dean was on.
Dean, for his part, had no objection.
He smiled and, saying "Of course," approached Raviel and allowed her to take his arm.
At that moment, the doors to the hall where the summit was to be held swung open, and one of the royal knights standing at the entrance spoke:
"Raviel Evergold and Mr Decanus are entering the hall."
The moment Dean and Raviel entered, everyone’s gaze was fixed on them.
In particular, the eyes of the British Royal Family were fixed directly on the young man whose face was veiled in mist, that is, Dean.
When Raviel immediately bowed her head and held the hem of her dress, Dean was at a loss as to what to do and stood motionless.
As an Englishman, standing in the presence of members of the Royal Family was, of course, an incredible experience for him.
It was an honour he could tell to his family and the next generations that will come from his blood.
That was why he had stood there frozen for a few seconds.
Nevertheless, the fact that he hadn’t even bowed his head had caused the others in the room to smile.
It seemed that this man, known as ’Decanus’, was someone who wouldn’t bow his head even to the Royal Family.
Raviel’s smile had grown considerably.
When Dean and Raviel finally took their seats, the Queen of England herself suddenly spoke up:
"It is my pleasure and honour to welcome you all to my home, Buckingham Palace."
After uttering these words, Queen Liana began to name each of the families present one by one.
"The Turkish family of Öztürkhan, supported by the Turkish and Korean gods and goddesses with a history spanning 1,200 years; Eisanwald, the Holy of the German bloodline; de Bellacour, the most Honourable of the French; Long, the Dragon of China; Evergold, the Sun of England; Korea’s sky, Haneul, and Russia’s Eye, Orlov, it is a great pleasure to see them all here."
When Dean heard all these names, he did not know what to say.
There were nearly fifty people seated at the table with him. Each of them came from the world’s leading families, people whose influence had been felt for a VERY long time and whose mark had been left across sectors such as law enforcement, politics, healthcare, entertainment and many others.
Dean, however, was merely a wealthy dandy amongst them.
Öztürkhan from Turkey, Eisanwald from Germany, de Bellacour from France, Long from China, Evergold from England, Haneul from Korea and Orlov from Russia.
On the other hand, there was Dean from the backstreets of London.
This...was a bit too strange and unbelievable.
Still, Queen Liana’s words weren’t going to end there.
After all, there was one more person who needed to be announced. Wasn’t there?
"Finally, we are delighted to welcome among us Decanus, who has recently joined us by a majority vote, the apple of the eye of the Great Goddess Nemesis and many of the gods and goddesses of Olympus."
