Chapter 331: Plans for the Competition

"Second, our sect has too few disciples. Even if every single one of them enters the Time Pavilions, there will still be plenty of room. And third, I have an idea for this competition. I want the Eternal Prosperity Sect to achieve an excellent result. Even if we cannot immediately enter the ranks of the first rate sects, we should at least secure one of the top positions among the second rate sects."

"That will make it much easier for us to recruit new disciples in the future, and it will allow the Eternal Prosperity Sect to firmly establish itself within the Heaven Origin Realm. But in order to accomplish that, it is essential to raise the overall strength of our sect. Whether for the competition itself or for strengthening the sect as a whole, helping everyone improve as quickly as possible is absolutely necessary."

’’But have you considered something?" Fu Young asked softly. "If they become accustomed to receiving cultivation resources without putting in effort, without having to compete for them, what will happen if they develop laziness?"

He knew that for his master to think this far ahead, he must have seriously considered the matter.

However, as he moving closer to Xiao Shou, he lowered his voice and said, "I don’t know why you’re so eager to develop the Eternal Prosperity Sect, Master. But don’t forget that our Eternal Prosperity Sect has always valued quality over quantity. We don’t need a large number of disciples. As long as every one of them is nurtured into a cultivator capable of defeating a hundred opponents alone, the Eternal Prosperity Sect will naturally become a first rate sect. In the future, people will be begging to join us, yet still won’t be able to. Those children are the true future of the Eternal Prosperity Sect."

"Young’er..." Fu Young’s words gradually calmed the anxiety in Xiao Shou’s heart.

Only then did he realize that his cultivation had quietly advanced once again.

Perhaps it was because he had only recently broken through or perhaps it was because he had learned that someone was secretly plotting against his beloved disciple.

Whatever the reason, the feeling that his own strength was still insufficient had made him so anxious that he had wanted to accomplish everything as quickly as possible.

Now that he had calmed down, Xiao Shou finally realized how inappropriate his earlier behavior had been.

He quickly took out a teapot and a pair of teacups before placing a small amount of Bodhi Tea leaves into the pot.

Beside him, Fu Young immediately gathered pure spiritual water and filled the teapot.

With a simple fire technique, he brought the water to a boil and brewed a pot of Bodhi Tea.

As Xiao Shou breathed in the tea’s soothing fragrance, he felt his heart become even more tranquil. Only then did he speak. "I was too impatient just now."

"Master, we have plenty of time to slowly build the Eternal Prosperity Sect in the future." Fu Young gently stroked Xiao Shou’s hair. "There is no need to accomplish everything this time."

Secretly, he thought that his master’s state of mind had been fluctuating far too much lately. So many things had happened recently that they had undoubtedly affected him.

Although Xiao Shou’s cultivation technique allowed him to advance without bottlenecks and was not restricted by his state of mind or inner demons, that did not mean his mental state was truly perfect or that inner demons could never appear.

It seemed that once he had the opportunity, he should find some treasures capable of calming the mind and eliminating inner demons for his master.

Xiao Shou had no idea that his recent behavior was related to an unstable state of mind.

He simply believed he had been overthinking things.

After reflecting on it, he admitted to himself that carefully analyzing problems and finding solutions had never been his strength. So he simply asked, "What do you think we should do, Young’er?"

"If Master wants to enter seclusion, then do so." Fu Young replied calmly. "But you have to promise me something. Every time you finish cultivating inside Yao Heng’s space, drink a pot of Bodhi Tea. As for the internal competition, leave it to me. I’ll oversee the entire event. The top ten disciples in each cultivation realm will earn the right to cultivate inside the Time Pavilion. "The length of their training will depend on their final rankings. What do you think, Master?"

In truth, Fu Young disliked troublesome matters as well. However, he would much rather handle those troubles himself than burden his master with them.

Xiao Shou nodded and said, "If you’re handling it, then I have no worries. What about the Heaven Origin Grand Competition?"

Fu Young chuckled softly. "Since Master cares so much about this competition, then no matter what the rules are... I’ll bring back first place for you."

Very few things ever truly mattered to his master.

Since Xiao Shou cared so deeply about this competition, then no matter what happened, Fu Young would never allow him to be disappointed.

That was the promise he silently made to himself.

Thinking that his disciple was simply joking with him, Xiao Shou smiled as well. After thinking about it, he realized there was no point worrying so far in advance. So he joked back, "All right then. I’ll leave everything in the hands of my adorable Young’er. So, Your master can enter seclusion without a single worry."

"Mm. Leave everything to me, Master." Even though he knew Xiao Shou was only joking, Fu Young still accepted the responsibility without the slightest hesitation.

Seeing how serious his disciple was, Xiao Shou suddenly remembered something.

He still had not given Young’er the large number of high grade demonic beast cores he had created on Yingzhou Celestial Isle.

After returning aboard the Frostheart Fleeting Battleship, he had also received a huge shipment of Spirit Sand that had been teleported from White Silver City.

At the time, however, all of his attention had been focused on the unconscious Fu Young.

He had only thought that if Young’er possessed a stronger life bound treasure, he might not suffer any disadvantages in the future.

Because of that, he had upgraded the Eight Treasures Umbrella, but he had never fused the Spirit Sand.

It was only earlier that he had casually finished creating it.
