“But we have to wait until daylight to move.”

Han Yuan nodded. “Then we’ll wait a little longer.”

After a moment of silence, Yan Qingyu said with a serious expression, “Han Yuan, thank you for everything.”

“If you hadn’t noticed something was wrong with me, I’m afraid I really would have been directly polluted by the Source Seed Shredded Meat.”

Han Yuan smiled. “No need to be so formal. Your Profound Celestial Alliance has provided me with a lot of information, too. We’re just helping each other out.”

After that, they faced no more attacks and waited until broad daylight.

The strange aura lingering around the manor finally began to dissipate slowly.

Han Yuan and Yan Qingyu walked out of the room.

“That place I mentioned… it should be my family’s ancestral hall.”

“It’s the one place I haven’t been to yet.”

Yan Qingyu said softly.

After Han Yuan’s reminder last night, she realized she had overlooked this place.

She had been here for so many days, but without Han Yuan’s reminder, she couldn’t recall it at all.

In other words, this place might be the source of the pollution.

“Then you know the way, right?”

Han Yuan said.

“I still remember the way… but if I’m truly being polluted, it might not be so easy to get to the ancestral hall.”

Yan Qingyu said in a low voice.

Han Yuan thought for a moment. “Tell me the layout of this manor.”

“I’m not polluted, so my judgment might be more accurate than yours.”

Hearing Han Yuan’s words, Yan Qingyu didn’t hesitate and quickly described the manor’s layout.

A floor plan of the manor quickly formed in Han Yuan’s mind.

“Follow me.”

Han Yuan said grimly.

Right now, Yan Qingyu wasn’t completely polluted yet.

In other words, the manor shouldn’t have changed much.

The only thing to be careful about was the possibility of being attacked along the way.

So they had to proceed with caution.

“Okay!”

Yan Qingyu knew something was wrong with her mind, so she chose to listen to Han Yuan.

The two of them moved quickly through the manor.

Before long, just as they were crossing a garden, they suddenly heard a child’s nursery rhyme.

Han Yuan turned his head and saw a little girl deep in the garden, swinging on a swing set and singing an unknown nursery rhyme.

When Yan Qingyu saw the little girl’s figure, her whole body shuddered.

“Who is that?” Han Yuan asked softly.

“It’s me…” Yan Qingyu’s voice trembled slightly.

Han Yuan narrowed his eyes, studying the little girl.

She didn’t seem to have noticed Han Yuan and Yan Qingyu’s presence and continued to swing and hum her song.

“Let’s go.”

“Ignore her.”

Han Yuan said in a low voice.

“Okay!” Yan Qingyu took a deep breath and turned to leave with Han Yuan.

As they left the garden, the little girl on the swing finally turned her head, a hint of confusion on her face.

A short while later, Han Yuan and Yan Qingyu finally arrived before an ancestral hall.

For some reason, Yan Qingyu felt a strange sense of nervousness and fear.

“Don’t be afraid… just stay by my side.”

Han Yuan sensed the fluctuation in Yan Qingyu’s emotions.

“I know… I just can’t help it…”

“It seems you were right… my subconscious is being altered.”

Yan Qingyu said grimly.

Seeing her emotions stabilize, Han Yuan immediately stepped into the ancestral hall.

Inside the ancestral hall, numerous Spiritual Tablets were enshrined, and countless lamps burned slowly.

“It doesn’t seem to be here,” Han Yuan said with a frown.

He didn’t sense anything strange here.

“Not here… then where could the source of the pollution be?”

Yan Qingyu gripped her longsword, her expression one of astonishment.

Han Yuan thought for a moment, then looked at Yan Qingyu and said flatly, “Or perhaps I do know where the source of the strangeness is…”

“Where?” Yan Qingyu asked hastily.

“Come with me.”

“I’m not entirely sure either.”

Han Yuan said grimly.

Yan Qingyu nodded and followed Han Yuan out of the ancestral hall.

The two of them retraced their steps.

In a short time, they unexpectedly found themselves back in the same garden as before.

The little girl was still on the swing, humming her nursery rhyme.

Han Yuan and Yan Qingyu approached her.

The little girl finally noticed them and asked in a childish voice, “Who are you…? I’ve never seen you before.”

Han Yuan stepped forward, patted the little girl’s head, and said with a gentle smile, “My name is Han Yuan… I’m a friend of yours.”

“And this person next to me is named Yan Qingyu.”

Hearing this, the little girl couldn’t help but look at Yan Qingyu, her eyes widening. “My name is Yan Qingyu, too.”

“I know,” Yan Qingyu said with a faint smile.

“Qingyu, why are you here?” Han Yuan asked softly.

“I… I don’t know either.”

“I just appeared here.”

“But it’s so boring here. There’s no one to play with me.”

The little girl said with a pout.

Hearing this, Yan Qingyu seemed to understand something.

She couldn’t help but look at Han Yuan and ask in alarm, “Could it be… that this is the source of the pollution?”

Han Yuan glanced at her and said flatly, “No. She is Yan Qingyu… and you are the source of the pollution.”

When Yan Qingyu heard this, her expression changed drastically. “How is that possible!”

Han Yuan smiled faintly. “Why would it be impossible… Even I was almost fooled by you.”

“This is the deepest part of Yan Qingyu’s consciousness. Logically, this is the place where she grew up.”

“Therefore, the image of Yan Qingyu should be closer to that of a child, not your current appearance.”

Yan Qingyu stared blankly at Han Yuan, as if something inside her had shattered, leaving her speechless.

“Why… Why?!”

“Why am I the source of the pollution!”

“WHY!!!”

Yan Qingyu muttered to herself.

Her emotions grew unstable, and her expression became increasingly ferocious and terrifying.

Han Yuan told the little girl to hide in a corner of the garden while he faced ‘Yan Qingyu’ alone.

“The real is real, and the fake is fake.”

“Since you are fake, you can never become real.”

Han Yuan said flatly.

“No!”

“I am the real one!”

“As long as I kill you and devour that little girl, I will truly become Yan Qingyu!”

‘Yan Qingyu’ had become completely irrational and utterly insane.

Her body rapidly swelled, and countless vines spread out from her, transforming her into a twisted, ugly creature resembling a Tree-man Monster.

This Tree-man Monster stood over three meters tall. Its body was bloated and dripped with a foul-smelling black mucus as it walked toward Han Yuan, one step at a time.

“So you’ve finally shown your true form.”

“If I hadn’t met that little girl, I would have been completely fooled by you.”

Han Yuan cracked his neck.

「The next moment.」

His body also began to change wildly.

In this Consciousness World, he couldn’t use the Demon Whale Transformation, but the Eight Desolates Dragon God Observation Method was still available!

His body abruptly enlarged, his muscles swelled madly, a dragon’s tail grew from his spine, his entire body became covered in Dragon Scales, and even his head transformed into that of a Black Dragon.

At this moment, Han Yuan was like a standing, humanoid Black Dragon, rivaling the Tree-man Monster in size and pulsating with a dangerous and frenzied aura.

“Kill!”

Han Yuan’s legs became incredibly thick and powerful. He burst forward with extreme speed, his entire body turning into a black shadow as he struck out with a fierce claw!

WHOOSH!!

The claw strike carried a sharp, cutting wind, as if it possessed the terrifying power to destroy heaven and earth.

The Tree-man Monster’s reaction seemed slow, and its body was instantly torn open by the pitch-black Dragon Claw.

But Han Yuan felt countless vines and tendrils coiling around his Dragon Claw, preventing him from pulling it back.

SWISH!

A sharp wooden longsword materialized in the Tree-man Monster’s hand, pulsating with a wicked, depraved aura as it viciously stabbed toward Han Yuan’s chest.

Han Yuan shot out his left hand, grabbing the sharp wooden longsword directly and snapping it with force!

CRACK!

The sharp wooden longsword was instantly snapped in two by Han Yuan.

“Detonate!”

“Black Dragon Bite!”

Seeing his right hand still entangled by the tendrils, Han Yuan let out a furious roar. An illusory sphere of dark light suddenly appeared in his palm and violently exploded!

BOOM!!!

The entire garden shook!

The Tree-man Monster shot back like a cannonball, smashing violently through a wall.

With a crazed look in his eyes, Han Yuan strode murderously toward the Tree-man Monster.

The Tree-man Monster got to its feet.

It stared at Han Yuan as its dense vines formed more than a dozen arms, which then pressed down fiercely upon him!
