I grow stronger by making my wife happy.
Chapter 530:Broke.
Chapter 530: 530:Broke.
Ravenna’s expression changed.
"Oh?"
He nodded.
"A rather large one," he cheeky said.
"How large?" She curiously asked, also absorbing his excitement.
Silver leaned closer and whispered.
"Seventy-five thousand Affection Points."
She froze.
For a moment, she simply stared at him, then merely blinked.
"How much again?"
"Seventy-five thousand."
Her mouth opened slightly.
"Silver!"
He laughed.
"I know."
"That’s ridiculous!"
"Also true."
She looked toward the photograph, then back at him.
"Why?"
He considered.
"Apparently, the system recognizes your growing independence and the fact that we’ve become closer through everything that’s happened."
Her expression softened.
"Oh."
He smiled.
"Congratulations. Your emotional development has made us wealthy," he jokingly said.
She stared at him for a few seconds, then burst out laughing.
"You’re unbelievable!"
He shrugged.
"I prefer financially fortunate."
She shook her head, still laughing. But after a moment, she became serious.
"Silver."
He looked toward her.
"What?"
"You’re not going to spend all of it on yourself, are you?"
He raised an eyebrow.
"Why would I?"
She hesitated.
"Because it’s your system."
He stared for a few seconds, then smiled faintly.
"Ravenna, I thought we settled this a long time ago," he softly said.
She looked toward him.
He continued, "If the system rewards me because of our relationship, then it makes sense that both of us benefit. Besides, you’re nearly Rank Three. I’d be an idiot not to help you prepare."
She smiled.
"You’re already an idiot."
He nodded.
"Exactly. Imagine how bad things would be if I were also selfish."
She laughed, then leaned forward and kissed him. Silver smiled against her lips and reciprocated. When she pulled away, he rested his forehead against hers.
"Let’s see what we can buy."
The system shop opened before Silver, displaying an enormous collection of items that had previously seemed impossibly expensive.
Medicines, soul-energy enhancement resources, physical strengthening materials, skill development aids, spatial training tools, and several rare consumables designed to assist Contractors approaching major rank breakthroughs.
He had browsed many of those items before, but he’d rarely possessed enough Affection Points to purchase them without sacrificing his emergency reserves.
Now, however, the situation was different.
He had seventy-five thousand points, and for the first time, he intended to make a serious investment in both his and Ravenna’s growth.
[Happiness System Shop Opened.]
[Available Affection Points: 75,314 AP.]
[Recommended Purchases Based on Current Development.]
[High-Grade Soul Energy Condensation Elixir - 8,000 AP.]
[Superior Meridian Reinforcement Serum - 12,000 AP.]
[Advanced Spatial Comprehension Crystal - 15,000 AP.]
[Phoenix Heart Integration Catalyst - 10,000 AP.]
[Advanced Physical Tempering Essence - 7,500 AP.]
[Rank Advancement Stabilization Pill - 9,000 AP.]
Silver studied the list while Ravenna watched his expression.
"What are you looking for?" She asked.
"Something expensive," he absentmidedly replied.
"That doesn’t narrow it down."
He smiled and began explaining the items.
The High-Grade Soul Energy Condensation Elixir could improve soul-energy circulation and assist a Contractor in accumulating energy more efficiently. The Superior Meridian Reinforcement Serum strengthened the pathways through which soul energy moved, making it particularly useful for someone who repeatedly strained those pathways through high-consumption abilities.
The Advanced Spatial Comprehension Crystal could accelerate understanding of spatial manipulation, although it wouldn’t automatically increase skill levels or eliminate the need for practice.
The Phoenix Heart Integration Catalyst was particularly interesting.
According to the description, it could safely accelerate the integration of a compatible fire-related inheritance or energy source, provided the recipient already possessed a stable foundation.
Ravenna immediately became interested.
"That one," she excitedly said.
Silver looked toward her.
"The catalyst?"
She nodded.
"My Phoenix Heart Seed is already at around seventy-eight percent integration. If this helps stabilize the remaining energy, I might be able to complete the process before attempting Rank Three."
He considered, then nodded.
"Good choice."
He continued browsing.
After several minutes, he made his decisions.
[Purchase Confirmed.]
[Phoenix Heart Integration Catalyst - 10,000 AP.]
[High-Grade Soul Energy Condensation Elixir ×2 - 16,000 AP.]
[Superior Meridian Reinforcement Serum - 12,000 AP.]
[Advanced Spatial Comprehension Crystal - 15,000 AP.]
[Advanced Physical Tempering Essence - 7,500 AP.]
[Rank Advancement Stabilization Pill - 9,000 AP.]
[Total Expenditure: 69,500 AP.]
[Remaining Affection Points: 5,814 AP.]
Silver stared at the balance and sighed.
"Well."
Ravenna raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"We’re poor again."
She burst out laughing.
"Silver!"
He shook his head.
"Seventy-five thousand points. Gone in five minutes. We have terrible financial management."
She smiled.
"At least you bought useful things."
He nodded.
"That’s what I’m telling myself."
He retrieved the items from his system inventory, arranging them carefully across the desk.
Several small containers appeared, each holding a different substance or crystalline material.
Ravenna stared at them, fascinated.
Even after everything they’d experienced together, she still found the system’s ability to produce extraordinary resources almost unbelievable.
He picked up the Phoenix Heart Integration Catalyst.
"This is yours."
She accepted it carefully.
He handed her one of the High-Grade Soul Energy Condensation Elixirs.
"And this."
She looked toward him.
"What about the advancement pill?"
He smiled.
"Also yours."
She froze.
"Silver."
He raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"That’s nine thousand points."
"Yes."
"And you’re giving it to me?"
"Yes."
She looked sort of unsire of herself.
"Why?"
He smiled faintly.
"Because you’re closer to Rank Three than I am to Rank Four."
Ravenna hesitated.
"But..."
"No buts." He placed the pill beside her. "You’re at ninety-five percent saturation. Once your foundation is ready, this can help stabilize the breakthrough. It doesn’t guarantee success, but it should reduce the risks."
She looked toward the items, then quietly asked, "And what about you?"
Silver lifted the Spatial Comprehension Crystal.
"I have plans."
She studied him.
He continued, "My growth is already fast, but I need better control over my spatial abilities. If I can reduce their energy consumption and improve how they work together, I’ll become considerably more effective even without advancing immediately."
She nodded slowly.
He smiled.
"And the physical tempering essence should help with the rest."
She looked toward him.
For several seconds, she remained silent, then she whispered, "Thank you."
He smiled.
"You’re welcome."
She shook her head.
"No, Silver. I mean it."
He looked toward her.
She continued, "You’ve given me so much since we met. Training resources, protection, opportunities... sometimes I don’t know how I’m supposed to repay you."
