I have the Ultimate Devourer System
Chapter 43: The World Is Yours
Chapter 43: Chapter 43: The World Is Yours
For seven agonizing days, the hunt went on.
Or rather, the slaughter continued.
Baron Arklong continuously sent wave after wave of his most elite Dragon warriors into the lower districts to scour the alleyways. And every single night, the shadows swallowed them whole. They never returned. There were no bodies, no blood trails, and absolutely no survivors.
Inside the lavishly decorated medical house of the Arklong estate, the Baron paced back and forth, frustrated.
Bang!
He smashed fist against the wall.
"Utter nonsense! Another squad vanished? Are you telling me that ten more of my highest-ranking fire dragons just evaporated into thin air? Speak commander!"
The kneeling guard commander kept his head pressed firmly against the cold marble floor.
"Yes, My Lord. We tracked the human boy to the abandoned warehouse district, but the entire patrol went completely silent before midnight. The local residents reported hearing terrified screaming, and then... nothing."
The Baron bellowed.
"Useless! Every single one of you is completely useless! He is just one human child! How is he successfully butchering my entire military force?"
"Father, please stop shouting. My head is still ringing," a weak raspy voice complained from the grand velvet bed in the center of the room.
Baron Arklong turned his furious gaze toward his bandaged son, Malakor.
The arrogant young lord was looking much better than he had a week ago, but his face had gone to the mud.
"You have absolutely no right to complain, ’My dear Son’. I just spent an astronomical fortune on a Grandmaster-tier regeneration potion just to mend your crushed bones and restore your flesh. Because of you the family treasury is bleeding gold."
Malakor looked sideways in shame.
"It was a fluke, father. That filthy human rat ambushed me. He used some kind of cowardly dark trick. When your guards finally drag him in here, I want to be the one to personally rip his heart out. I will eat it right in front of his dying eyes."
Hearing this, the Baron let out a mocking sigh.
He then leaned close to his son’s face, growling:
"You foolish, arrogant boy. Do you truly not understand what is happening outside these walls? My guards are not going to drag him in here. They are being actively hunted."
Malakor was shocked as he stated,
"That is impossible! Dragonoots are the apex race! No human or demon can match our strength!"
"He is not matching their strength, you bastard. He is eating them alive. People are calling him the Dragon Devourer. And if we do not find a way to kill him very soon, he is eventually going to come for us."

In a far-away Dragon God’s shrine, Krono stood in front of the massive, nine-headed dragon statue in silent contemplation.
It was about twenty meters tall and thirty meters wide, with its majestic wings spread wide.
Just then, a curious dragon hatchling asked,
"Mother, who is this?"
In a gentle tone, the mother dragon replied,
"This is Lord Tiamat, our Dragon God. We are all his children. He is the supreme divine ancestor who granted our bloodlines their absolute glory."
Krono didn’t look at it anymore.
He turned his gaze away from the stone monument of the nine-headed dragon god. He had absolutely no interest in staring at false idols.
Instead, he looked out through the massive open archways of the shrine, locking onto the distant horizon.
Far beyond the busy city, a jagged mountain range pierced the cloudy sky.
But they were not ordinary mountains. Those colossal peaks were eerily smooth and hollowed out in very specific places.
They looked exactly like gigantic, fossilized skulls. It was as if they belonged to primordial, colossal dragons that had fallen from the heavens.
"They are not mountains, little Usurper."
The sudden voice belonged Adira, the Godless Hero.
"What are they, then?" Krono asked, his voice was akin to a whisper as if he was talking to himself.
She smiled and replied,
"Trophies. Those are the actual skulls of the four Ancient Earth Wyrms. They were the original rulers of this entire continent. The supposed indestructible titans of the third century. They actually thought their sheer size would make them completely immune to my hunger."
Krono stared at the colossal peaks in the distance. They were so massive that entire weather systems formed around their jagged teeth.
"You killed them?" Krono asked.
"Nope, I slaughtered them.
It took me three full days to drain their divine blood. I devoured their flesh, their scales, their hearts, and every single drop of their boundless mana. I ate until the sky itself rained black ash."
"Why did you leave the skulls?" Krono questioned curiously, suppressing the rising heartbeat in his chest.
"Because bone without marrow is incredibly dry and tasteless. Because I wanted to leave a permanent reminder to their pathetic descendants. I wanted every single dragon born on this continent to look at the horizon and remember exactly what happens when they dare to challenge a true Devourer."
Krono stood silently. On the outside, his expression remained as cold and unreadable as ever. He did not let a single emotion slip past his dark scarf.
But deep within his mind, his soul trembled in overwhelming awe.
He was currently struggling to digest the raw energy of just five elite city guards. The process was physically agonizing and had nearly torn his human mind completely apart. Yet, the woman speaking so casually inside his head had successfully consumed four mountain-sized gods and only complained about the taste of their bones.
The incomprehensible gap in their strength was staggering. To anyone else, it would have been genuinely terrifying.
But Krono did not feel any despair. Instead, a burning, ravenous ambition flared wildly in his chest.
"Are you intimidated, little Usurper?" Adira taunted l, feeling his rapidly beating heart.
"No, I am just incredibly hungry. If you could eat gods in the first age, then I am going to do the exact same thing in this one."
Adira let out a dark, echoing chuckle that violently rattled his bones.
"Good. Keep eating, Krono. Eat the guards. Eat the Baron. Eat the City Lord. Keep devouring until the entire world is yours."
