Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Explosive Growth

After that small prelude, the real play had just begun.

Krono stood on the shattered rooftop, his eyes locking directly onto the distant Arklong estate.

"Omni-Devourer."

"Target: Ancient Dragon Bloodline."

--

Deep beneath the strongly guarded mansion of Baron Arklong, tucked away inside a rune-sealed obsidian vault, was a crystal vial containing the liquid blood of an Ancient Vermilion Dragon.

It was the foundation of the Baron’s noble lineage, an irreplaceable treasure passed down for thousands of years.

Buzz!

Without warning, a swirling vortex of pitch-black mist materialized inside the impenetrable vault. It completely ignored the magical barriers, swallowing the glowing blue liquid whole before instantly vanishing.

"Huff!"

A mile away, Krono jerked..

The moment the ancient blood entered his system, it did not expand his mana like last time. It aggressively tore his very human DNA apart.

The excruciating pain was a thousand times worse than digesting the legendary crystal. His human bones rapidly shattered and instantly reformed, becoming vastly denser than solid skysteel.

On his chest, a patch of seemingly indestructible scales grew, shimmering with primal magic.

Ding!

He willed the system to show his updated status, eager to see exactly how much the ancient bloodline had fundamentally changed his human body.

The blue holographic screen appeared in the dark.

---

Krono stared at his new physical stats, his crimson eyes gleaming in the dark.

His Vitality had astronomically multiplied, pushing his Health to heights he had never thought possible for a seven year old boy. His Strength and Agility were now firmly in the realm of true apex predators.

Combined with his new passive Vermilion Dragon Scales, his physical defense was virtually impenetrable to ordinary weapons.

He was finally ready to face a noble dragon head on.

Their reaction, however, was incredibly loud.

Inside the Arklong estate, a loud magical alarm suddenly shattered the quiet night.

Baron Arklong hurriedly kicked the massive steel doors of his underground vault wide open. He rushed inside, completely surrounded by dozens of armed, terrified elite guards.

Upon arriving there, the Baron stopped dead in his tracks, his yellow eyes widened in pure horror.

The runic pedestal was completely empty. The ancestral blood was entirely gone.

Strangely, there were absolutely no signs of forced entry.

"No! This is completely impossible!"

He fell to his knees on the cold stone floor, tightly clutching the empty velvet cushion. The terrifying realization hit him like a physical blow.

This had to be the Dragon Devourer’s work.

The Dragon Devourer had not just bypassed his impenetrable security. That monster had just consumed the future of his entire noble house.

"Find that devil scum! Burn the entire lower district to the ground! I want that human boy completely obliterated!"

The guards left frantically, as if their pants were on fire.

But after they left, Baron Arklong realized those useless buffoons would do no good against that monster.

He needed to go there personally. At this, his wrath intensified. A mere human had forced him to take things into his own hands.

And now, it was time to show why he was a Baron, and the true might of a noble dragon.

Meanwhile, Krono was already targeting his next high-value prize.

The Unknown Spatial Artifact.

Through his Omni-Devourer perception, he found the item located inside a massive, high-end weapon shop in the upper district.

Hilariously, the system indicated it was currently sitting in a dusty bargain bin, discarded like absolute trash by the shop owner.

But the system scan revealed something even more amusing.

The injured young lord, Malakor, was currently inside that very same shop. He was loudly throwing a tantrum, trying to buy a new weapon to hunt down the Dragon Devourer.

Krono smiled

Instead of extracting the artifact remotely, he decided to take a short walk. He was in a very playful mood.

Ten minutes later, the front bell of the Steel Talon Armory chimed.

Inside, Malakor was violently slamming his clawed fist against the glass counter.

"I told you to bring me your absolute best skysteel broadsword! I am going to personally chop that filthy human rat into a thousand tiny pieces! I will mount his head on my bedroom wall!"

"Yes, Young Master Arklong," the terrified shopkeeper bowed repeatedly, sweating bullets. "I will bring it right away."

Krono, in his Dragonoot form, walked into the shop silently, his dark scarf covering his lower face. He completely ignored the screaming noble and walked straight toward the dusty bin in the corner. He reached inside and pulled out a dull, rusted metal ring.

Ding!

[ Target Confirmed: Unknown Spatial Artifact. ]

Krono casually slipped the ring into his pocket.

Malakor turned his head, his yellow eyes narrowing in disgust as he noticed the green dragonoot.

"Hey! You filthy peasant! Who gave a rat like you permission to stand in the same room as a noble? Get on your knees and beg for my forgiveness right now, or I will rip your arms off!"

Malakor shouted while stomping aggressively toward Krono.
