Zhang Menglong shifted to the side, and the 14 Peak Dominators walked up in front of him.

Compared to their cautious attitude before, the expressions on their faces now basically spelled just two words.

Invincible!

Their arrival effortlessly dispelled the pressure pressing down on Zhang Menglong, then they casually said to No.1, “No.1, if you want to figure out us Guardians, shouldn’t you start by asking me?”

No.1 had been about to ask them where their confidence came from, but the moment he felt the overwhelming, invincible aura on them, the smile on his face froze.

His power had already reached ninth tier of the Ultimate Life Form, and his true strength was a hundred times beyond an ordinary Peak Dominator. Last time they met, he could clearly sense where the limits of the Blood Martialist Leader and the CEO of the Universal Group lay.

But now?

He actually couldn’t see through the depth of this group’s power at all. In other words, in just barely over half a month of not seeing them, their strength had already soared to the point of surpassing him!

“How is this possible?” No.1’s body even started to tremble slightly. He felt like he was facing the Ancient Gods of back then, a wave of helplessness leaking out from deep inside his body.

“Hit him now!” Zhang Menglong knew he absolutely couldn’t give this Ancient Human any chance. Since they already held absolute advantage, you have to beat the dog while it’s down—do not give them even the slightest shot at a comeback!

Those big shots coming here today were never just here to posture. Since they now had absolute superiority, they should press the attack and net every last Ancient Human in one sweep!

This time they’d split into two teams: the Dean of Holy Song Academy and the four branch deans went to search out the hideouts of the remaining unconfirmed Ancient Human Soul Shards, determined to wipe them out in one go.

Back then, trying to pull this off had been insanely hard, because they’d run into the Ancient Humans’ full-force interception every time. Not only would the results be uncertain, they’d also suffer massive casualties.

But now it was different. They could kill whoever came, slaughter a group whenever one appeared. Under this level of power-crushing, these Ancient Humans were no longer worth fearing.

The leader of the Blood Martialists stepped forward first. In the war against the Ancient Humans, the Blood Martialists had been the most heavily involved. The price they’d paid, the losses they’d suffered, were the worst among all the organizations. His hatred for the Ancient Humans was also the deepest.

In an instant, a gigantic golden phantom as vast as a Galaxy rose into the sky. This phantom was a thousand times larger than the one he’d summoned last time to block No.1’s strike, practically like a world-splitting, heaven-opening Giant of legend!

Seeing this, even the Ancient Humans were all struck dumb, eyes wide.

Many of them had fought the Blood Martialist Leader before. Of course, most Ancient Humans hadn’t yet recovered much of their power, so naturally they weren’t his match. But among these more than a thousand Ancient Humans, there were plenty who could hold out for a few minutes against him.

Yet the pressure from this single phantom alone made them feel like both their bodies and Souls were about to be crushed to dust. This simply wasn’t power on the same level!

A golden battle-axe condensed in his hand. Without saying a word, he swung it straight down at that palace!

A massive crack, tens of millions of kilometers long, instantly tore through the originally flat main road. Buildings, mountains, rivers—everything was reduced to scorched earth under that one axe.

“That’s insane, right?” Even Zhang Menglong’s eyes went wide at this terrifying strike. That one chop left a mark enough to run through three whole cities!

Dozens of Ancient Humans didn’t have time to dodge and were turned into minced flesh directly under that axe. Even their Souls were completely shredded, not leaving behind a single fragment.

“You… how can you have that kind of power?” No.1 stared at the Blood Martialist Leader and let out a screech. Even for him, if he took that hit head-on, he’d be annihilated—body and bones gone.

“Go on, take a guess!” Zhang Menglong chimed in with a perfectly sleazy laugh.

“It’s you?” No.1 locked his gaze on Zhang Menglong.

Although he didn’t know what method Zhang Menglong had used, as the one who’d inherited the Ancient Gods’ power, probably only Zhang Menglong could pull off something like this.

“That day I should’ve killed you no matter the cost!”

Back then No.1 had just broken through and his realm wasn’t very stable yet, but if he’d been willing to pay a bit of a price, he absolutely had the ability to wipe the entire Guardian organization off the map. Kill Zhang Menglong, and none of this would be happening. It was all because he’d been too damn arrogant!

The other Ancient Humans’ faces were each uglier than the last. Just this Blood Martialist Leader alone could probably slaughter them easily. If you added in the other powerhouses nearby, today would be their doomsday!

“No.1, what do we do?” The rest of the Ancient Humans turned their eyes to No.1. He’d been the first to awaken, the strongest, and had the most tricks.

Right now No.1 had a thousand lines of “mmp” stuck in his throat. Stop staring at me, damn it! What the hell do you expect me to do? I’m just a little bro here too!

Gritting his teeth, No.1 desperately racked his brain for any plan that might actually work. If they tried to clash head-on, they’d die without even bones left, and the chance of running was near zero. With a gap of hundreds of times in power, any schemes or tricks were meaningless.

“Then there’s only one option left!”

No.1 took a deep breath. This was the last thing he wanted to use, but it was also the only move that might let him turn the tables right now.

“Everyone, get over here!” At his shout, over a thousand Ancient Humans clustered around him.

Right at that moment, a cold, sinister smile flickered across his face. By the time the other Ancient Humans noticed, it was already too late.

Razor-sharp tentacles suddenly burst out of his body, spearing straight through the bodies of all the other Ancient Humans in an instant.

“No.1! You…” They stared at No.1 in disbelief, though it wasn’t exactly unimaginable. After all, this kind of thing had happened more than once or twice among the Ancient Humans.

Abandoning comrades at critical moments, even using them as stepping stones—among Ancient Humans, this wasn’t some rare phenomenon.

“Don’t hate me. If you want to hate someone, hate them!” No.1’s face was already twisting. “If I don’t do this, we all die. Everything we’ve done until now will be for nothing!”

The tentacles extending from No.1’s body frantically devoured the little bit of Soul Power the others had recovered inside them.

“That’s just sick…” Even Zhang Menglong couldn’t help letting out a sigh at the scene.

“Stop him right now!” The other big shots had clearly seen his intent. If they let him swallow the power of all the Ancient Humans, this whole situation might actually flip!

“It’s too late.” Zhang Menglong said lightly, because he could already clearly feel the life draining away from the other Ancient Humans. His devouring speed was simply too fast, far too fast to stop.

Zhang Menglong frowned.
