Chapter 272: I’ll Burn This Entire World Down

Raiden fixed his gaze on the incoming horde of Terra Beasts in front of him with a defiant look in his eyes.

He was almost at the end of his rope, but he knew he couldn’t fall here because if he did, it would be the end of everything.

"Wait!!" He mustered every ounce of energy he had before shouting out loud, causing the people and the Terra Beasts in front of him to freeze in their places.

"You gu...y..s want to cap-*cough*-capture me alive...right??" He spoke as blood flowed down his mouth due to his injuries. But despite all that, looking at the smile of a half-dead man and those shining bright eyes, all four members who were surrounding him felt a chill down their spines.

Seeing no one speaking, Bai Zheng took the lead as he stepped forward.

"That’s right. Why?? Have you decided to cooperate with us??" He spoke with a good-guy smile on his face.

"God, I hate your face so much. I just want to punch it and break your glasses *Ptui!!* Anyway, since you guys want to capture me, this makes things much easier...for me." Raiden spit out blood as he glared at Bai Zheng with a smile on his face.

Hearing his words, everybody there got confused. Raiden only widened his smile after seeing their confusion, before he brought down the blood scythe to his neck.

"STOP!!" All four of them shouted at him as their eyes widened involuntarily.

"Heh, I knew it. You must be on a mission by a big shot that you cannot afford to fail. Let me guess: it is somehow related to my parents, am I right??" The four of them didn’t reply, but their even more shocked reaction gave Raiden all the answers he needed.

"Heh, guess I am right. Okay, from now on, we do this my way. Good guys, tell me where my sister is, or I’ll take my own life." Raiden warned them with a mad smile on his face.

"You crazy psycho, stop it!! We’ll never tell you where she is!!"

"Yeah, there is no way we are giving up our leverage!!"

"I bet that guy is bluffing. He doesn’t dare to kill himself!!"

Hearing Lola say that, everybody around her nodded their heads, as they stared grimly at Raiden.

"Do you guys dare to bet your lives on it? I don’t know what outcome you guys will face if you fail the mission, but I came here prepared to throw my life away." With a smile on his face, Raiden brought the scythe even closer to his neck, before making a shallow cut, causing blood to flow down freely down his body, soaking his clothes wet.

"Wait, wait, stop!!" Seeing this, Bai Zheng couldn’t help himself and finally showed a crack in his composure as he waved his hands frantically at Raiden.

"Damn, psycho, stop!! We’ll tell you where she is, okay? Just stop!!" Lola shouted, causing Raiden to stop.

At this point in time, Raiden’s shirt was completely soaked in blood, and he was seeing blurry images of the guys in front of him.

Bang!!

He slammed his scythe on the ground to balance himself as he walked towards them.

"Good...choice...Now tell me... where is... my... sister??" Raiden stumbled forward, but he caught himself at the last moment using the scythe.

Bang.

Bang.

Bang.

Little by little, Raiden made his way forward. Blood still flowed down his body as he almost stumbled and faltered, but he didn’t give up. His eyes never left the people in front of him as he made his way over.

Looking at the man who was walking towards them, they couldn’t help but feel a wave of fear go through them.

"Fucking mad person, tch." Lola clicked her tongue as she looked at Raiden.

"If you want to see your sister so badly, fine. I’ll take you to see her!!" Bai Zheng gives subtle signs with his eyes to Trevor, who just nods and disappears from the group, but Raiden doesn’t notice that, as he already starts feeling pain due to so much blood loss and his vision becoming blurry.

He doesn’t pay attention to all of that and follows something deeper inside the warehouse.

At the same time, Trevor, who disappeared, got behind Raiden and let out his Terra Beast, a shadow panther.

"You know what to do, right, boy? Sneak up behind him quietly and subdue him in one move. You only have one shot at this. Make no mistakes, okay??" Trevor rubbed his head and whispered in his ears quietly.

The shadow panther nodded his head to say he understood.

"Good. We are all counting on you. Now go. Go quietly!"

The next second, the panther disappeared from view, blending into the shadows on the ground as it slowly approached Raiden from behind.

Meanwhile, Raiden, who was unaware, kept following behind Bai Zheng with the help of his scythe.

They reached a big gate inside the warehouse, which was bolted down tightly.

With a signal from Trevor, who was standing behind him, the other three subtly surrounded Raiden in the middle.

"Your sister is inside. Are you ready to meet her, Raiden??" Bai Zheng fixed his glasses as he let out a small smile while looking at him.

"Cut the... crap!! Take me to my sister now." Raiden spoke with difficulty, as his breathing became laboured.

Outside the warehouse, looking at this scene and feeling how weak Raiden was at this moment, the three Terra Beasts all felt like they were increasingly unable to control themselves.

"Woolie Woo!!" That’s it. I can’t wait any longer. I’m going in!!

Thunder started cracking on Woolie’s body as he got ready to rush inside, only to be held down by the combined efforts of both Neva and Rose.

"Sha Sha Sha!!" Big brother, wait!! Wait for just a moment longer!! Rai Rai is almost inside. As soon as we see little Sylvi~, we go in!!

"Shiss!!" Exactly. As soon as we save her, I will drown them in blood!!

Under their calm and persistent efforts, they were able to calm Woolie down as he increasingly fixed his gaze on the warehouse in the distant view, getting increasingly worried as he sensed the ever-weakening condition of Raiden.

"Woolie Woo..." Make sure to come out of it alive, human, otherwise I’ll burn this whole world down.
