Chapter 277: The Queen Of Blood Takes The Stage

"W-what is that?!"

Trevor’s smug grin froze on his bloody face as he stared at the crimson liquid rising off the concrete floor in defiance of gravity.

Drops of blood that had soaked into the dust and cracked stone were lifting into the air like reverse rain, trembling with a dark, violent pulse that made everyone’s skin crawl.

"Bai Zheng!! Didn’t you say the Elemental Suppression Generators locked down everything?!" Lola screamed, her voice pitching up an octave as the metallic stench of iron thickened in the air. "Why is that snake still using its powers?!"

"It’s not an element!!" Bai Zheng’s face went deathly pale behind his cracked glasses as he backed up a step, his fingers trembling against his laptop screen. "The scanners can’t classify it as Fire, Water, or Light!! She’s manipulating pure physical blood!!"

"I don’t care what she’s manipulating!! We have six Diamond-Tier beasts and six Platinum-Tier beasts!!" the burly man roared, slamming his massive fists together to shake off the creeping dread in his chest. "She’s only a Gold-Tier snake! Crush her into meat paste before they break through the back wall!!"

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

All twelve behemoths lunged forward at once, their combined weight shaking the warehouse foundations like an earthquake. Dust and rusted metal rained down from the rafters as the floor buckled under dozens of tons of charging muscle, bone, and scales.

Raiden didn’t take a single step back.

Through his bond with Rose, he could feel her tracking the faint trail of Sylvia’s blood in the distance, and with every heartbeat they wasted inside this rusted cage, that trail was growing colder and farther away. If they got bogged down here for even five minutes, the masked bastard who took his sister would vanish completely from the city.

Panic and fury boiled together in Raiden’s chest. They didn’t have ten minutes. They didn’t even have five!!

"Rose, don’t hold anything back!!" Raiden’s voice rang out like a crack of thunder as two twin scythes of condensed blood formed in his hands, their crimson edges gleaming sharply in the dim light.

"Woolie, keep Neva safe on your back and smash anything that gets past Rose!! We’re carving a path straight through them NOW!!"

"Woolie Woo!!" Even without lightning, this Emperor’s horns can still smash diamonds!! Hold on tight, little sister!!

"Sha Sha!!" Go, Big Brother!! Go, Sister Rose!! Beat them up and save Sylvi!! (? ?•? ? •?? )?

"HISSSSS!!!"

Rose didn’t keep her size the same.

In the blink of an eye, her body exploded outward in a blinding pillar of crimson radiance, growing from a tiny scarf-sized snake into a twenty-meter-long Crowned Crimson Python!! Her scales gleamed like rubies forged in hellfire, and the jagged crown of blood resting atop her head pulsed with an ancient, suffocating royalty that made the air itself feel thick and suffocating.

You hurt Rai Rai! You took Sister Sylvi! Everyone here is food!!

The front line of six Platinum-Tier beasts reached her first, led by the Fortress Boar and the Twin-Headed Iron Viper. Looking at the incoming beasts in front of her, Rose didn’t even care to dodge as she flicked her massive tail upward.

"Hiss!!"

SHING! SHING! SHING! SHING!

The pools of blood scattered across the concrete, from Raiden’s wounds, from the four fanatics, and from the earlier clashes, erupted upward all at once!!

Within a split second, they hardened into a dense forest of ten-meter-tall jagged Blood Spikes and spinning Crimson Halberds that burst from the floor at a forty-five-degree angle.

SQUELCH!!

The charging Fortress Boar didn’t even have time to brake as its massive momentum carried it straight onto three giant blood spikes, impaling its armoured chest clean through and lifting its kicking body off the ground. Thick torrents of fresh blood gushed down the crimson pillars, feeding straight into Rose’s domain as the boar let out a gargling squeal.

Boom!!

"One down!!" Raiden snarled, darting through the narrow gaps using Seven Star Steps, his boots leaving faint footprints in the blood-slicked dust.

Before the Twin-Headed Iron Viper beside the boar could hiss in alarm or pull back its lunging necks, Rose dropped from above like a crimson guillotine. Her jaws unhinged wide, and her razor-sharp fangs sank deep into both of the viper’s necks at the exact same time.

"Hiss!!" Drink!!

A horrifying sucking sound echoed through the warehouse.

Under the terrified eyes of the four Battle Masters, the ten-meter Platinum viper didn’t even get to thrash for three seconds!!

Every drop of blood in its veins was violently ripped out through Rose’s fangs! Its thick iron scales shrivelled inward like a deflated balloon, its eyes sinking into its skull as a peak Platinum-Tier beast was reduced into a dried-up mummy before Rose tossed its lifeless husk aside with a flick of her neck.

The stolen blood didn’t stay in her stomach. Half of it was absorbed directly by her scales, making her ruby body glow brighter and further boosting her physical power, while the other half surged outward around her coils in a roaring crimson river, instantly tripling the volume of blood she had at her command!

"She’s using our beasts as fuel!!" Bai Zheng shouted in horror, his voice cracking as he watched two Platinum beasts fall in the span of three breaths. "Don’t let her bite the Platinum beasts! Keep your distance and crush her with the Diamond-Tiers!!"

Bai Zheng’s warning came too late.

"Hiss Hiss!!~" Trying to run? Your blood belongs to Rose now!!

Rose swung her tail in a wide arc, and the roaring river of blood split into dozens of razor-thin Blood Tendrils and clanking Crimson Chains that whipped through the air with sonic booms.

CRACK-SNAP!!

Ten tendrils lashed out faster than bullets, wrapping around the ankles and wings of the Giant Bloodthirsty Bat and the Razor-Blade Mantis mid-retreat. With a single violent yank of her tail, Rose slammed the two Platinum beasts together in mid-air with a bone-shattering crunch before snapping the tendrils inward, forming a spiked Blood Cage that contracted around them like an iron maiden, slicing deep into their flesh!!

Fresh blood poured from dozens of lacerations across their bodies, only to be immediately hijacked by Rose’s will to reinforce the cage’s bars.

Looking at Rose’s violent, merciless movements, the enemies in front of them took a collective gulp in fear and terror. None of them had ever seen a Gold-Tier Terra Beast fight like an ancient demon lord walked out of an abyss of slaughter.

Meanwhile, Neva, who was sitting on the back of Woolie with her eight little legs clinging tightly to his black wool, was cheering with all her might, waving two tiny front legs in the air like pom-poms.
