Chapter 280: The Crimson Blood Tsunami

"Hiss." Now it is Rose’s turn to play.

"Don’t let her bluff you!!" Lola’s voice was shrill, bordering on hysteria as she felt the terrifying spike in Rose’s aura. "She still hasn’t crossed into Platinum or Diamond Rank!! No matter how fancy her scales look, a Gold-Tier beast cannot beat six Diamond-Tiers in a head-on clash!! Cuties, tear her throat out together!!"

"Kill her!! Don’t give them a single opening to reach the door!!" Bai Zheng and Trevor roared at the exact same time.

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

Stung by the humiliation of being blown back earlier, all six Diamond-Tier beasts threw off their hesitation and charged at Rose from six different angles!

Lola’s Steel-Spear Spider lunged from the front, all eight metallic legs stabbing forward like armour-piercing lances.

The Acid-Jawed Hound and Bai Zheng’s Alpha Wolf flanked from the left and right with jaws wide open, while the Smoke Serpent coiled down from the rafters, Trevor’s Giant Eagle dove like a spear from above, and the Shadow Panther burst out of the ground shadows right beneath Rose’s belly!

Previously, that exact six-way assault had shattered Rose’s barrier in a single second and left her bleeding on the floor.

This time, Rose didn’t even bother raising a shield.

"Hiss!!" Too slow!

With a casual flick of her thirty-meter tail, the rivers of blood pooling across the warehouse floor exploded upward, condensing into six colossal Crimson Monarch Hands, each one five meters wide and lined with claws as sharp as guillotines!

CLANG! BAM! CRACK! BOOM!

The sound of the collision nearly blew the roof off the warehouse!

Instead of shattering like before, the six giant blood hands caught all six Diamond-Tier beasts mid-lunge and stopped them dead in their tracks!

One crimson hand clamped directly around the face of the Acid-Jawed Hound, slamming its snout shut before its corrosive spit could even leave its mouth, and drove the dog’s skull straight into the concrete floor!

A second and third hand grabbed two of the Steel-Spear Spider’s front legs. With a sickening CRUNCH of twisting metal and chitin, the blood hands wrenched the spider’s legs sideways, snapping both Diamond-grade limbs clean off at the joints!

"SKREEEEEE!!"

The giant spider shrieked in agony as thick green-red blood gushed from its severed sockets.

Rose’s golden eyes gleamed. Before a single drop of that Diamond-Tier blood could hit the floor, she opened her mouth and inhaled.

SWOOOOSH!!

A vortex of suction ripped a massive stream of blood straight out of the spider’s wounds and into Rose’s jaws! Drinking the vitality of a Diamond-Tier monster made the ashen-gold veins on Rose’s scales flare like miniature suns, and her tail whipped around with ten times more force than before!

WHAM!!

Her physical tail blurred through the air like a crimson battering ram, slamming into the Smoke Serpent, the Shadow Panther, and Bai Zheng’s Alpha Wolf all at once! The sheer brute force of her purified body sent all three Diamond-Tier predators hurtling across the room, spitting blood as their ribs cracked like dry firewood!

"How... How is she overpowering all six of them at the same time?!" Trevor’s jaw dropped, his unlit cigarette falling right out of his trembling mouth. "Those are Diamond-Tier Terra Beasts!! How is a Gold-Tier snake tossing them around like toys?!"

"Woolie Woo!!" *Because she is Emperor Woolie’s little sister, you idiots!!

From the side, Woolie and Neva cheered at the top of their lungs, though Woolie was still stomping his hooves in frustration every time he tried to summon a spark of lightning and felt the blue-white runic lines on the floor choke it out.

Rose heard her big brother’s frustrated bleat, and her golden eyes immediately shifted toward the glowing blue-white circuits pulsing along the warehouse walls and floor.

Those ugly blue lights are bullying Big Brother Woolie and Big Sister Neva!

"Rose!!" Raiden’s mind linked with hers instantly as he saw where she was looking, his eyes sharpening. "Smash the cylindrical machines in the walls and floor! Break the suppression array!!"

"Hiss Hiss!!" Leave it to Rose!!

Trevor’s Giant Eagle, the last Diamond beast still airborne, tried to pull out of its dive and retreat toward the ceiling.

Rose didn’t let it go.

Two giant Crimson Monarch Hands clapped together in mid-air, catching the Giant Eagle by both wings! With a fierce hiss, Rose swung the blood hands in a full circle and hurled the massive Diamond eagle like a bowling ball straight into the eastern wall where four of the largest cylindrical generators were humming!

KABOOOOOM!!!

Steel, concrete, and high-voltage runic coils exploded in a blinding shower of blue sparks!

At the same time, Rose condensed thirty spinning Blood Drills in the air and fired them into the floorboards and the western wall like a barrage of bunker-busting missiles!

BANG! BANG! BANG! CRASH!

One after another, the hidden Elemental Suppression Generators were ripped to shreds and detonated from within!

"No!! The suppression array!!" Bai Zheng screamed, lunging forward in vain as the last main generator behind him burst into flames.

With a sound like a giant pane of glass shattering into a million pieces, the blue-white runic cage locking down the warehouse flickered violently and vanished into nothingness!

For half a second, the warehouse went quiet.

And then the air pressure inside the building detonated.

"WOOOLIEEE WOOOOO!!!"

"SHAAAA SHAAAA!!!"

CRACK-BOOOOOOM!!!

A blinding pillar of violet-and-crimson thunder exploded from Woolie’s black coat, blowing a twenty-foot hole straight through the warehouse roof and turning the night sky above into a raging thunderstorm! Right beside him, Neva shot into the air as fifty golden-pink runic gates snapped open behind her back, lighting up the ruined building like a miniature sun!

"Woolie Woo!!" MY THUNDER IS BACK, NOW IT’S EMPEROR WOOLIE’S TURN TO PLAY WITH YOU GUYS!!

"Sha Sha!!" Neva’s light is back too!! Nobody is allowed to run away!!

Before the six battered Diamond beasts or their terrified masters could even think about scrambling for the exits, Woolie stomped his hooves, unleashing Emperor’s Domain across the entire warehouse to cut their speed in half, while Neva rained down a ring of giant golden light swords and chains that sealed off every window, door, and wall!

Trapped inside the ring of golden swords and crushing thunder, the four assassins felt genuine, suffocating despair wrap around their throats.

"We can’t hold him anymore..." the burly man whispered, his legs giving out as he dropped to his knees on the cracked floor. "Retreat! We already bought enough time, let’s get out of here!!"

"You think you get to leave after touching my sister?!"

Raiden’s voice echoed through the ruined warehouse like a death sentence from the depths of hell.

He took a single step forward, the half-silver curls of his hair fluttering in the hot wind as he pointed a blood-stained finger at the trapped group. Every second was precious now. The suppression field was gone, Rose’s senses were sharper than ever, and it was time to end this farce in one move.

"Rose!! Don’t leave a single one of them standing! Use your new skill and drown them all!!"

"HISSSSS!!!"

Rose rose high into the air above Raiden’s head, her thirty-meter ruby body coiling beneath the shattered roof as the crimson crown atop her head blazed with blinding light.

She opened her jaws and spat out a single, tiny drop of blood into the centre of the warehouse.

At first glance, it looked completely harmless, no bigger than a marble, shimmering with a deep, bottomless crimson and a faint ring of ashen gold.

Lola, Trevor, and Bai Zheng stared at that tiny floating drop in confusion for half a heartbeat.

And then, the drop broke open.

ROOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!!

It didn’t splash. It erupted like an ocean bursting through a shattered dam!

From that single tiny drop, an endless, roaring tidal wave of thick crimson blood exploded outward in every direction, filling the entire width and height of the warehouse in less than a second!

It was a literal tsunami of blood, thirty meters high, churning with crushing abyssal pressure and millions of razor-sharp blood currents that tore through concrete and steel alike.

"NO!! BLOCK IT!! BLOCK IT NOW!!"

Bai Zheng, Lola, Trevor, and the burly man screamed at the top of their lungs, commanding their six Diamond-Tier beasts and surviving Platinum beasts to throw up every shield of stone, smoke, wind, and fire they had left.

The roaring crimson wall hit their defences and didn’t even slow down for a fraction of a second.

Every shield shattered instantly on contact!

The massive Steel-Spear Spider, the Alpha Wolf, the Giant Eagle, the Shadow Panther, the Acid Hound, and the Smoke Serpent were all swept off their feet and swallowed whole by the surging crimson sea! The four Battle Masters didn’t even get to finish their screams before the towering wave crashed over their heads, dragging both humans and Diamond-Tier monsters alike down into the churning depths!

As soon as the tsunami swallowed the last enemy, Rose flicked her tail.

Instead of bursting the warehouse walls outward, the massive ocean of blood folded in on itself, condensing into a gigantic, rotating sphere of pitch-red blood prison that locked every single beast and assassin inside its crushing, airless depths, trapping them within it forever!

Raiden didn’t even spare the floating crimson prison a second glance.

Spinning on his heel, he leapt straight onto Woolie’s back with Neva and Rose following right beside him, and shot out through the gaping hole in the rear wall into the dark night!!
