Jingyi, who was being pulled by the chains, started struggling fiercely.

?Roar!

?She began to roar. Night felt his body shiver at the sound; she didn’t look human to him anymore, but more like a wild beast marking its territory.

?Haruka saw the look on Jingyi’s face and realized something was wrong. It was then that she heard a voice in her head. The voice was cool yet warm, reminding her of her mother’s voice when she was still alive.

?"Girl, allow me to take over," the Western Dragon said. "Your friend is being possessed by an Evil Entity. I can help you exorcise it."

?Paranoia struck her, and she asked in alarm, "Who are you?"

?"I am your guardian angel, and I have been watching over you since the day you received the bloodline."

?"Watching over me?" Haruka murmured. She had never realized.

?"Yes. Haven’t you noticed it? How many times have you been on the brink of death, only for a sudden surge of energy to save you? That was me. I was sending that energy."

?"So it was you? Thanks." She recalled all the close brushes with death she had survived; she had assumed it was her latent potential exploding at the razor’s edge of life and battle. But it seemed reality wasn’t a fantasy novel.

?Shaken by Jingyi’s betrayal and the horrific possibility of her possession, Haruka didn’t dwell on it too much, even though the timing of this guardian’s arrival was awfully suspicious. Somehow, the voice made her feel safe enough to trust it.

?The Western Dragon warned, "Girl, we don’t have much time. Though the sealing array is strong, it won’t hold the Evil Entity for long. Once it breaks free, the beast will slaughter all of you."

?It pained Haruka to see Jingyi looking at her like prey. She gulped and asked, "What should I do?"

?The Western Dragon spoke reassuringly, "I will now channel my energy into you. You just have to let it flow freely..."

?Haruka had expected something far more complicated. "That sounds simple enough..."

?"Yes. I will begin."

?Haruka nodded, and immediately her body was flooded with an enormous torrent of blue energy. To her astonishment, the wound on the nape of her neck that Jingyi had inflicted knit closed almost instantly.

?"Wow... amazing," Haruka gasped. It felt as though there wasn’t an injury in existence that this mysterious blue energy couldn’t mend.

?"Yes, it is magnificent," the dragon purred. "Just make sure you do not resist."

?Haruka felt an odd sense of reassurance as strength surged through her veins. Her aura flared with such blinding intensity that the surrounding space turned hazy, making it nearly impossible to look directly at her.

?She could tell her power had skyrocketed by leaps and bounds. She clenched her fist, and the air detonated within her palm; in that moment, she felt capable of crushing a mountain with her bare hands.

?Dizzy.

?A violent pull surged from deep within her core.

To her horror, she realized her consciousness was being forcefully dragged into her own Soul Space against her will.

?She tried to fight back, but her guardian only scoffed, "Foolish girl, it is already far too late. Your body belongs to me now...and so does your soul..."

?Haruka was left stunned and betrayed yet again, a wave of overwhelming emotion crashed over her.

First Jingyi, and now this. It was the worst day of her life; even her mother’s passing hadn’t felt this suffocating.

?Her consciousness materialized inside her Soul Space.

?Within the realm that was supposed to be vacant, a colossal dragon now loomed. It was clad in blue scales, bore massive wings, and possessed an enormous belly that looked as though it had gorged on twice its fill.

Its sheer scale was so mind-boggling that she couldn’t even take in a single scale in its entirety without losing focus.

?What the... How is something like this inside my soul?!

?Each individual scale on its body was the size of a continent.

?I think it’s even bigger than the fabled Milky Way galaxy...

?Compared to this behemoth, an ant would seem massive next to her.

?As if sensing her gaze, the dragon peered down at her, its draconic blue eyes larger than stars. The coldness in them was freezing, compared to it even the Devils had kinder eyes.

?"I didn’t expect you to possess the rare Yin Physique, which made it impossible for me to forcefully possess you," the Western Dragon stated coldly, its tone dripping with ruthlessness. "But now that you have willingly invited me in, it’s all over for you."

?Haruka couldn’t take it anymore. "Yoooouuuu... fat lizard...!" Betrayed twice in a row, sheer rage consumed her.

?Her shout was abruptly cut short when an unfathomable pressure crashed down upon her, freezing her in place.

?Paralyzed, she could only hover there in helpless despair. Sorrow flooded her heart.

Today, she had merely wanted to kick back and chill with Sara and Jingyi, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the mysterious Chosen.

After grinding day and night against monsters to level up, exhaustion had seeped into her very bones; she never could have anticipated everything unraveling into a nightmare like this.

It had been better when i was just defending my city not knowing if they would survive the next monster wave.

?No... I want to live... Someone... please save me... I want to live...

?She prayed desperately in her heart, longing for a miracle to bring her comfort. Even so, she knew being rescued by Prince Charming was a fairy-tale trope made to tease naive teenagers, not something that occurred in cold, harsh reality.

?Trapped, she could only look outward through her senses to watch the outside world unfold, completely stunned by how events transpired.

Even years down the line, today would remain something she looked back upon in sheer bewilderment, wondering how someone could be so...

?Cute...

Something identical was transpiring within Jingyi’s Soul Space.

Unlike Haruka, however, Jingyi’s soul was trapped beneath a glowing seal atop the Eastern Dragon’s crown.

She wore a dazed expression, drool leaking past her lips and her eyes glassy, looking like someone high on drugs.

?Apparently, the word "Heaven" in the dragon’s title was no exaggeration; he truly had sent her into cloud nine.

?Jingyi seemed to be experiencing the most intoxicating pleasure of her life, blissfully lost in the haze, unaware her life was not longer hers...

?The Eastern Dragon paid the girl no mind.

Glancing outward at what Sara had done, he roared with thunderous laughter, "Foolish girl! She dragged us straight out of that wretched newborn universe, breaking our shackles! Now we don’t even need to devour each other to survive...!"

?"Now we can unleash our full might without fearing suppression!"

?In the outside world, Jingyi’s sealed body suddenly snapped every binding chain like a berserker injected with pure adrenaline.

Her form began to transformation: crimson scales crept rapidly across her flesh, while four wings and a pointy tail tore out from her back.

?The instant the chains shattered, Sara, who had been channeling the Sealing Array, was struck by the backlash. Her internal energy went wild, forcing her onto her knees as a mouthful of blood sprayed onto the ground.

?Sara wiped her lips, gasping in horror, "What...?" She hadn’t expected such turn of events...

?She then caught sight of Haruka undergoing an identical mutation: shimmering blue scales spread over her skin as draconic wings and a tail sprouted from behind.

?Sara watched, petrified, as Haruka rose to her feet and unleashed a feral roar. Jingyi answered with an equally deafening roar of her own.

?Their twin cries tore through the void.

?Fissures began splintering across the ’Grand Concealment Spell’ with every sonic wave. Their voices alone held the terrifying power to warp reality itself.

?The ’Grand Concealment Spell’ Sara had activated was an esoteric magic capable of isolating a pocket of space and severing it from the fabric of their home world, casting it adrift into a random space of the deep Cosmos.

?[Dream] had sternly warned her before: these cosmic spaces were notoriously perilous environments, hazardous enough that even a Primordial God would struggle to step in or linger without suffering harm.

?And now, the boundary of the spell was threatening to shatter from mere roars.

?Once the isolated space fractured, returning to Earth would be impossible; they would be cast straight into whatever space they were in.

?A lethal hazard to a Primordial God would instantly annihilate mortals like them, who couldn’t muster even a sliver of the power.

?Night, who had been standing nearest to Haruka, was caught directly in the wake of her transformation. The sheer shockwave of her roar hurled him backward like a kite with its string cut.

?It felt like a giant heel stomping into loose sand, sending the grains scattering, and Night got to experience it firsthand.

?Night: "..."

Tuning into his soul link with [Blaze], Night screamed internally, "How am I supposed to turn monsters like that into totems?! I’ll be vaporized the second their roaring contest ends and the fists start flying!"

?[Blaze] answered, "This happened because the girl pulled them out here with that spatial spell. Now that they’re beyond the universe’s boundary, their strength is no longer sealed by the laws. FYI, this space is definitely not a place an being of your strength should be hanging out in."

?Night immediately asked, "Should I dismiss Sara and give up on this clone body?"

?"Unsummon her, definately," [Blaze] affirmed. "Though your clone won’t truly die out here, so leave it be."
