Chapter 748: Chapter 748 Sweating Profusely Through Eight Hours of Rigorous Dual Cultivation Drills
The following morning, Chen Baojiao joined Lin Qingyan for her training.
The mature and beautiful woman had originally intended to simply observe her niece’s cultivation and perhaps offer some guidance.
However, the moment she arrived, her attention was immediately drawn toward Lin Feng. She stared at him for several seconds. Then she stared again.
Lin Feng noticed her strange gaze and turned his head toward her. Chen Baojiao was looking at him as though she had just discovered that he had suddenly grown six arms and three heads.
Lin Feng could not help but smile.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothing, Senior," Chen Baojiao replied immediately. Her expression, however, clearly said otherwise.
Lin Feng shook his head with a faint smile. He had already become accustomed to women looking at him strangely whenever they learned more about his background.
Chen Baojiao had apparently spent quite some time investigating him. He did not bother asking what she had discovered. After all, there was nothing he needed to hide.
Lin Feng spent roughly an hour personally guiding Lin Qingyan through her cultivation.
He patiently corrected her posture, explained the circulation of spiritual energy, and pointed out several subtle mistakes she had been making.
Although Lin Qingyan’s cultivation foundation was still extremely weak compared to the powerful cultivators surrounding Lin Feng, her understanding was surprisingly good.
Once she understood something, she remembered it immediately. That was one of the reasons Lin Feng was confident that her future would be extraordinary.
After finishing the morning’s guidance, Lin Feng glanced toward the distance.
"I have something to take care of. Continue cultivating according to what I taught you but remember don’t attempt any breakthrough yet."
"Yes, Master," Lin Qingyan replied respectfully. Lin Feng nodded before leaving. The moment his figure disappeared into the distance, Chen Baojiao’s expression changed.
She slowly turned toward Lin Qingyan.
"Yan’er."
"Hmm?"
"You need to be careful."
Lin Qingyan looked at her aunt in confusion.
"Careful about what?"
Chen Baojiao hesitated for a moment before lowering her voice.
"Your teacher."
Lin Qingyan blinked.
"My master?"
"Yes." Chen Baojiao looked in the direction Lin Feng had disappeared with a complicated expression.
"Your teacher may be incredibly powerful, and I admit that he seems to treat you very well. However, I spent quite some time investigating him last night."
Lin Qingyan’s expression became curious.
"You investigated Master?"
"Of course."
Chen Baojiao folded her arms.
"I needed to know what kind of person had suddenly taken you as his disciple."
She paused.
"And the results were... somewhat disturbing."
Lin Qingyan tilted her head.
"What did you find?"
Chen Baojiao sighed.
"I heard that his first disciple, Miss Rong Xian, is already sharing his bed."
Lin Qingyan’s eyes widened slightly.
"Rong Xian?"
"Yes."
Chen Baojiao nodded solemnly.
"And apparently, there are quite a few beautiful women around him."
Lin Qingyan remained silent. She thought about Lin Feng for a moment.
Her master had certainly been surrounded by beautiful women ever since she met him. Li Ruoxi, Jiang Feiyan, Rong Xian, and several other women seemed to have close relationships with him.
Yet Lin Qingyan had never seen Lin Feng treat her improperly. Not once.
"Master is a good person," she finally said.
Chen Baojiao raised an eyebrow.
"You trust him that much already?"
Lin Qingyan nodded.
"Yes."
She spoke without hesitation.
"Master saved me from my old life. He gave me a chance to cultivate, accepted me as his disciple, and even promised that he would protect me." Her expression became slightly warmer.
"He has never looked at me strangely or treated me like a woman he wants something from. He only treats me as his disciple."
Chen Baojiao listened carefully. She could not deny that Lin Feng had indeed treated Lin Qingyan with extraordinary generosity.
He had not only accepted a seemingly ordinary farmer as his disciple, but had also publicly declared that anyone who became Lin Qingyan’s enemy would become his enemy.
That alone was enough to make countless people envious. Still, Chen Baojiao remained cautious.
"Perhaps you are right," she said eventually. "Maybe your teacher really is different from what I fear." She sighed.
"But you should still be careful."
Lin Qingyan nodded obediently.
"I understand."
Chen Baojiao looked at her niece and shook her head.
"You are too trusting sometimes."
"I’m not."
"You are."
"I can tell when someone is lying to me."
Chen Baojiao smiled helplessly.
"That may be true, but Lin Feng is different. He is so mysterious that even I cannot understand what kind of person he truly is."
She paused before continuing.
"And with his strength and appearance, I find it difficult to believe that beautiful women will simply remain indifferent to him."
Lin Qingyan thought about it. That much was certainly true. Even she had noticed that many women seemed naturally drawn toward Lin Feng.
"Perhaps Miss Rong Xian was the one who made the first move to get in Senior Lin Feng’s bed," Chen Baojiao muttered.
She had spent much of the previous night investigating Lin Feng’s relationships, and the more she learned, the more complicated everything became.
"If that is the case, then you should remember something, Yan’er."
"What?"
"Do not let yourself get dragged into something you don’t understand."
Lin Qingyan nodded seriously.
"I will."
Chen Baojiao looked at her for a moment before adding,
"Of course, I am not saying your teacher is a bad person. In fact, from everything I have discovered, he seems to be quite protective of the people he considers important."
Her expression became slightly complicated.
"That is precisely what makes him dangerous."
Lin Qingyan frowned.
"Dangerous?"
"Not dangerous because he would hurt you."
Chen Baojiao shook her head.
"Dangerous because once someone becomes important to him, he seems willing to go to extraordinary lengths for them."
She looked toward the direction Lin Feng had left.
"Someone like that can completely change a person’s life."
Lin Qingyan fell silent. She unconsciously remembered the moment she had first bowed before Lin Feng and called him Master.
