Shu Chao Yu ran his hand over the strange indentation. "It got banged up during the incident, so it was bound to leave some marks on the fuselage. We covered them with black paint because we didn’t want the rest of the family to see and worry. This whole section of the tail is covered in marks like this. Go on, inspect it."

With that, he gestured for Andre to begin.

Ke Dancheng and Song Xiaoxing, watching from their hiding spot nearby, knew that members of the Austin family were of Hyena Beastman lineage and possessed astonishing hearing. Because of this, they both kept silent out of a shared understanding.

Even though they made no sound, Andre’s superior sense of smell had already detected their presence.

Andre walked up to the Flying Machine’s sealed hatch and looked at Shu Chao Yu. "We need to conduct a routine inspection of the cabin. Please open it."

Shu Chao Yu shrugged. "It’s not my Flying Machine. I don’t have the authorization."

’Heh. What a liar.’

’Wasn’t he just flaunting this very Flying Machine to everyone he met yesterday?’

Andre didn’t call him out on his blatant lie. Instead, he activated the lock screen, revealing a digital keypad.

"You must know the password."

A pilot linked to the cockpit’s operating system could open the hatch with a biometric scan. Someone without that authorization could still enter by inputting the password, though they wouldn’t have the authority to pilot the Flying Machine.

Under Andre’s intimidating gaze, Shu Chao Yu shook his head frantically.

"The password? Don’t know it."

Andre’s expression darkened. "Sir, you should know that all I have to do is access the Zone One Traffic Police database, and I can find out who this Flying Machine is registered to!"

The Big Bumblebee was registered to three users: Shu Yao, Shu Xin, and Shu Chao Yu.

All three of them had permission to use it.

In other words, if Andre pulled up Shu Chao Yu’s registration information for the Flying Machine from the traffic police system, it would prove he had the authority to open the hatch.

Andre’s tone became commanding. "Sir, I must ask you to cooperate with our investigation!"

"Andre, is it?" Shu Chao Yu let out a long yawn. When his mouth closed, the lazy look in his eyes was replaced by an icy glint. "From the name, I’d guess you’re from the Austin family. You should know that we’ve taken a complaint to Your Majesty once before. That means, if necessary, we can do it again."

Andre gave a cold smirk, completely unfazed.

"We are acting in accordance with the law. We are not afraid of accusations. In fact, when a person of interest refuses to cooperate, we are authorized to take special measures!" He turned and ordered his subordinate, "Bring the tool. We’re resetting this Flying Machine’s password to the factory default."

His subordinate brought over an external smart device capable of resetting the hatch’s password to its factory default and plugged it into the Flying Machine’s charging port.

Just as the man was about to activate it, a childish voice, thick with sleep yet adorably fierce, suddenly called out:

"What are you doing to my Big Bumblebee?!"

Ju Ying shot past. Before Andre could even get a clear look, his subordinate was knocked aside.

The subordinate clutched his stomach, his face twisted in pain as he struggled up from the ground.

Xiao Juzi’s dark eyes glared fiercely at them as he used his small body to defend his Big Bumblebee.

"Who are you! Don’t you touch my Big Bumblebee!"

He had just woken up. The moment he came outside, he saw these strangers assaulting his Big Bumblebee!

Andre stared in astonishment at the little one who had appeared out of nowhere.

Seeing Xiao Juzi appear, Ke Dancheng grew anxious, afraid Zaizai would mess things up. He was about to go coax the boy back when he realized the child’s fierce, one-man-army stance might actually buy them some time. He decided to hold back and see how things played out.

Song Xiaoxing couldn’t resist asking, "Who’s that kid?"

Ke Dancheng replied, "Sister Yao’s son."

Song Xiaoxing gushed, "He’s so adorable!"

Ke Dancheng said, "Well, consider who his mother is."

Song Xiaoxing shot him a look. "You’d think you were his father, the way you’re talking."

Ke Dancheng adjusted his glasses. "I could never produce a bloodline that exceptional."

Meanwhile, back at the Flying Machine, Shu Chao Yu was inwardly pleased.

But his pleasure was short-lived. He quickly discovered that Andre was no ordinary man.

’He’s incredibly good with kids!’

"Hey there, little one." Andre softened his demeanor. "This Flying Machine was in an accident and got damaged. We need to go inside and check on it to make sure it’s still safe to fly."

Xiao Juzi’s hostility lessened slightly. He glanced at the Big Bumblebee. "Mommy already fixed Big Bumblebee a long time ago~"

Andre said, "We still need to go inside and double-check. It’s our job."

Shu Chao Yu prayed silently from the sidelines. ’Don’t fall for it, little guy!’
