Ivy Tanner bobbed her head like a woodpecker. "Uh-huh, uh-huh, I’ll listen to everything Sinclair says. Sinclair loves me the most!"

Claire Sinclair said one last thing, "If anything happens, call me immediately."

"Uh-huh, uh-huh, Sinclair is the best."

"I have to go. I’m busy. Goodbye."

The call ended.

Ivy Tanner handed the phone back to Ethan Kingsley. "Brother Kingsley, I’m done."

Ethan Kingsley took the phone, a charming smile playing on his lips. "Little Cutie, what did your Sinclair say?"

"Cake..." Ivy Tanner only said one word.

Ethan Kingsley understood immediately. He turned and instructed Seth Payne, "Go get a slice of cake for Little Cutie. The kind with fruit on it. Little Cutie likes fruit."

"Yes." Seth Payne turned and left.

Ivy Tanner’s heart ached a little. ’So he still remembered she liked cake with fruit.’

’Seriously, why bother remembering her preferences? It’s meaningless.’

Only after Seth Payne brought over the cake did Ethan Kingsley walk back to Corinne Linden.

After getting the cake, Ivy Tanner hid back in the corner, silently eating it by herself.

After she finished, she casually glanced up, looking for him, but she couldn’t find him. Even Corinne Linden was gone. Only the other guests remained in the main hall.

’Strange, where’s Ethan Kingsley?’

Just as she was lost in thought, a strange woman’s voice suddenly spoke. "Third Miss Tanner, aren’t you bored sitting here all by yourself?"

Ivy Tanner deliberately looked up slowly, her gaze landing on the woman’s face. "Miss, are you talking to me?"

"Of course I’m talking to you. Are you hungry? How about I take you to get something to eat?"

Ivy Tanner shook her head. "I’m not hungry. I already had some cake."

A cunning glint flashed in the woman’s eyes. She said patiently, "I’ll take you to eat something even more delicious than cake. Don’t you want to try it?"

Ivy Tanner was about to say no, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ethan Kingsley heading to the second floor alone, without Corinne Linden. A flicker of doubt crossed her mind.

’What is he doing going upstairs all of a sudden?’

Seeing she wasn’t responding, the woman suddenly grabbed her and forcefully pulled her to her feet. "Let’s go, let’s go. I’ll take you to get something tasty."

"I don’t want any!" Ivy Tanner struggled fiercely and finally managed to wrench her arm free from the woman’s grasp. But unexpectedly, two brawny men appeared, grabbed her by the arms, and dragged her into the kitchen.

Ivy felt a surge of unease. ’I don’t know these people. Who sent them? What are they going to do to me?’

’The main hall is right outside, so I don’t think they’d dare kill me here. But they look so aggressive... they’re definitely not going to let me off easy.’

As her thoughts raced in panic, the woman from before returned with a glass of orange juice. She pinched Ivy Tanner’s mouth open and forced the juice down her throat.

Ivy Tanner struggled, but with her arms held fast, she couldn’t move. Fear enveloped her. The sweet juice was poured relentlessly into her mouth, causing her to choke until tears streamed down her face.

After pouring out the entire glass, the woman let out a long sigh of relief and smiled coldly. "A piece of trash like you has no reason to exist. You’ll only get in the way of the Young Master’s grand plans. Today, I’ll dispose of you on his behalf. Take her upstairs to Room 206. Some fool will be going in to find her in a bit."

In that moment, Ivy Tanner’s heart ached and fell into chaos, plunging her into a despair she had never known.

’So this woman works for Ethan Kingsley?’

’That heartless man... he finally made his move. He did this to me at his own birthday party, so brazenly.’

She desperately wanted to scream for help, but her vision went black, and then she knew nothing more.

Without another word, the two brawny men left through the back door, carrying the unconscious Ivy Tanner up to the second floor.
