Claire Sinclair felt a bit on edge. Mustering her courage, she went downstairs and stood at the door, peering through the peephole.

It really was Ethan Kingsley.

’That bastard. After what he did to Ivy Tanner, how dare he show his face here!’

Claire Sinclair didn’t open the door right away. She spoke through it, "Mr. Kingsley, is there something you need this late?"

Ethan Kingsley’s tone was urgent. "Where’s Little Cutie? Have her come out. I need to see her."

Claire Sinclair gave a cold laugh. "Sorry, Third Miss Tanner told me she felt dirty, so I had her go take a shower. And I’m not letting anyone take her away until I find out who left those marks on her."

At her words, Ethan Kingsley’s brow furrowed. "Claire Sinclair, it was me. I’m here to take her away."

His willingness to admit it surprised Claire Sinclair, but the damage had already been done. She would not let this man take Ivy Tanner away.

And so, Claire Sinclair demanded sharply, "Where are you going to take her? To kill her? Or are you going to throw her back to that idiotic fatty?"

Ethan Kingsley ground out through his teeth, "It’s not what you heard. I have never hurt her."

’He already forced himself on her, and that’s not considered harm?’

’Hah... Does this bastard have no sense of shame?’

Suppressing the inferno of rage within her, Claire Sinclair snapped, "Mr. Kingsley, Third Miss Tanner has the mental capacity of an eight-year-old! Didn’t you feel the slightest bit of shame when you did that to her?"

"I told you, I didn’t hurt her! Open the door, now! I have to see her!" Ethan Kingsley was starting to sound impatient.

Claire Sinclair looked at the man through the peephole. Seeing his frantic, furious expression did little to quell the rage in her heart. "I’m not letting you see her," she said coldly. "Please leave. Don’t loiter in front of my house."

BANG— A loud crash from outside the door made Claire Sinclair jump in fright.

’Holy crap, the guy’s actually kicking the door!’

A wave of panic hit Claire Sinclair. She quickly turned and walked to the window, only to see a group of bodyguards who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, now blocking her front door.

’The Great Demon King Quincy’s men really are dependable...’

Claire Sinclair breathed a sigh of relief. Returning to the door, she said loudly, "Mr. Kingsley, I don’t want tomorrow’s headlines to be about you causing a scene at my doorstep. Please leave. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being ruthless."

"Claire Sinclair, you fucking open the door! I have to see her, open the door!" Ethan Kingsley screamed, losing his composure. He went to kick the door again but was stopped by several bodyguards.

Claire Sinclair’s eyes shifted. She had no desire to deal with this man any longer. She said one last thing, loud enough for those outside to hear: "Don’t let him in. I’m going up to sleep."

With that, she turned and went upstairs.

「Outside the door.」

Ethan Kingsley thrashed like a maddened beast, roaring and struggling, but the men holding him back were bodyguards from Quincy Manor. He was utterly incapable of breaking through their cordon.

He was furious, yet also completely at a loss.

’The most outrageous thing he’d ever done in his life was to violate a woman with the mental capacity of an eight-year-old. Even though she was physically twenty, he still couldn’t forgive himself for the crime he had committed.’

’She must be so disappointed in me...’

’Damn it!’

Ethan Kingsley suddenly growled, "Let go! I’m calling Claire Sinclair."

Hearing this, the bodyguards finally released him.

Ethan Kingsley tried calling Claire Sinclair, but she hung up on him every time. Left with no other choice, he sent her a text message: I’ve already caught the person who drugged Little Cutie. It was that woman who bumped into you at the door. I did not order anyone to do this.
