Chapter 593: Chapter 593: You’re Not Sick, But You Insist You Are

Cyrus Marshall started to object, but Claire Sinclair said, "This is required for review by my superiors. If you don’t let me film, I’m afraid this collaboration won’t be possible."

Cyrus Marshall had no choice but to compromise. ’Adrian Quincy is here anyway, so I’m not worried about her backing out,’ he thought. "Alright, then please get a clear shot, so everyone can see how we save lives."

She watched as Doctor Holloway earnestly took a woman’s pulse. After a long moment, he said with a grave expression, "Ma’am, your pulse is extremely erratic. It seems to be a problem with your liver function. You have a serious illness!"

"Ah!" the woman exclaimed. "Doctor Holloway, you’re incredible! The hospital diagnosed me with late-stage liver cancer. Do you think there’s any hope for me?"

"Of course. Here at the Miracle Health Clinic, we can cure any disease. However, I must consult with you about the cost first. Saving a life costs money, as everyone knows. Our clinic’s policy is payment before treatment. If we can’t cure you, you’ll receive a full refund."

"I understand, I understand. How much is it?"

"For your condition, a full cure will cost three million."

"Th-three million..." The woman’s face went pale when she heard the number.

Doctor Holloway said, "You have a terminal illness. Whether or not you seek treatment is up to you. Go home and think about it."

"Okay... I’ll go home and try to scrape the money together. I should be able to raise it. Thank you, Doctor Holloway."

"You’re welcome. Take care, Ma’am."

The woman stood up and left.

Doctor Holloway glanced in their direction with a smile.

Claire Sinclair handed the DSLR camera to The Great Demon King Quincy. "Mr. Quincy, I’d also like to take Doctor Holloway’s pulse and see if he’s as miraculous as the legends say. Could you film it for me?"

Adrian Quincy gave a slight nod. "Alright."

Seeing this, a smile spread across Cyrus Marshall’s face. "Reporter Sinclair, you’ll want to watch closely. Our Doctor Holloway’s medical skills are the real deal."

"We’ll see about that." Claire Sinclair walked over, sat down opposite Doctor Holloway, and placed her hand on the table.

Doctor Holloway studied Claire Sinclair’s face for a few seconds before taking her pulse.

After a moment, Doctor Holloway spoke slowly. "Miss Sinclair, your pulse is steady. You have no major illnesses, though you are a bit malnourished. You should focus on eating better to build up your health."

Claire Sinclair laughed. "Doctor Holloway, that’s a very general diagnosis. Anyone could look at my complexion and see that I’m malnourished. But I do, in fact, have an illness. Can you identify it?"

Doctor Holloway was taken aback. He figured he was dealing with a troublemaker, and a flicker of anger rose in him. He put on a haughty air and said coldly, "You’re not sick, yet you insist you are. Miss Sinclair, why must you make things difficult for me?"

After speaking, he turned his head to glance at Cyrus Marshall.

Cyrus Marshall immediately gave an awkward laugh. "Reporter Sinclair, if you aren’t sick, please don’t make things hard for Doctor Holloway. He specializes in diagnosing difficult and complex illnesses. If there’s nothing wrong, he really can’t find anything."

A hint of displeasure flashed in Claire Sinclair’s eyes. "This illness has been plaguing me for months. Just because you can’t identify it, Doctor Holloway, you claim I’m not sick? Don’t you think I know whether I’m suffering or not?"

Cyrus Marshall was about to say something, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Adrian Quincy’s face had darkened. A sharp light glinted in his cold, grim eyes, and he looked as if he could kill someone at any moment.

A sudden chill ran down his spine, and he quickly urged, "Doctor Holloway, why don’t you take another look at Reporter Sinclair?"

Doctor Holloway was no fool. Seeing Adrian Quincy’s displeasure, he knew he had no choice but to brace himself and try again. "Alright," he said. "I will take your pulse one more time, very carefully."

Claire Sinclair placed her hand back on the table and said politely, "I’ll have to trouble you then, Doctor Holloway."
