Chapter 29: Chapter 27: Be Good, Close Your Eyes

"Brother Li, I’m so beautiful, and yet you shot me."

"How cruel."

Seeing Brother Li’s desperate expression, Yisuti, certain of her victory, smiled like a blooming flower, unhurried and composed.

"Don’t kill me. I’ll do anything you want."

Enduring the pain, Brother Li knelt and begged for mercy, stripped of his previous arrogance and his sense of complete control.

He’d overplayed his hand.

"You hurt me, and you expect me to just smile and let it go?"

Yisuti smiled and shook her head, a venomous look appearing in her eyes. "Are you that naive, or do you just think I’m that stupid?"

"Be good now. Close your eyes."

"I’ll be quick."

This time, her chest slowly opened.

Brother Li could see it more clearly now.

The rows of fine, sharp teeth could actually move on their own. There were no bits of flesh or bloodstains on them; apparently, her body could clean them automatically.

A crimson tongue, coiled up like intestines, began to shoot out once her chest had opened to a certain point.

And... she...

She had a heart!

’This must be her weak spot, right?’

A sharp glint flashed in Brother Li’s eyes. He backed away while continuing to beg for mercy, quickly reaching No. 7’s side.

Seeing this, Yisuti naturally guessed his intentions and her face filled with contempt.

To a Hunter, such an act was utterly laughable.

Prey was prey. When a Hunter made no mistakes, the prey had no chance at all. They would only turn on each other.

"Die."

She couldn’t be bothered to waste any more time. Her crimson tongue shot forward with sudden speed.

Brother Li, who had been watching for this exact moment, grabbed No. 7 from behind and threw her forward. He was already burly and strong, and after being transformed by the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Power all this time, lifting a woman who weighed a little over 35 kg was effortless.

But he vaguely sensed something was wrong. No. 7 didn’t scream, nor did she struggle in the slightest.

It was as if she were a dead person.

He had no time to think. He immediately reached into his pocket, pulled out a full magazine, and laughed maniacally in his heart. ’Good thing I was smart enough to keep a spare magazine on me.’

’Let’s see you survive this time!’

Her view was obstructed.

Yisuti didn’t see Brother Li’s actions at all. She only felt her crimson tongue easily pierce through No. 7’s body. With a flick of her tongue, she slammed the body hard against a nearby wall.

But the next moment, when her view was clear again, she saw Brother Li wearing a savage, crazed, and wildly arrogant smile. Her expression changed drastically.

"It looks like you monsters are the naive ones. If I was willing to sacrifice all my subordinates, did you really think I wouldn’t have a surefire way to protect myself?"

Brother Li prepared to pull the trigger. "A monster is just a monster. Besides brute force, your brains are no match for a human’s. Oh, my apologies. I forgot you don’t have a brain."

Only a brainless creature could take a bullet to the head and not die.

"No!"

Yisuti shrieked and immediately twisted her body to dodge.

Seeing this, a ruthless look appeared in Brother Li’s eyes.

BANG! A bullet left the chamber and buried itself in Yisuti’s body.

Unfortunately, Yisuti had already turned sideways. Her right side was facing Brother Li, and with her right arm and right breast in the way, the bullet ultimately failed to reach the heart in her left chest.

She didn’t die!

But she was severely wounded again and let out a blood-curdling scream. ℯℯ𝑙.

"Hmm?"

Seeing this, Brother Li’s expression hardened, and he pulled the trigger again.

’If one shot won’t kill you, then two will!’

’Or three!’

BANG.

...

With the upper hand, Brother Li completely suppressed Yisuti, riddling her body with bullets. Her combat effectiveness plummeted, and her movements became sluggish.

Finally, she collapsed against the hallway wall, covered in blood—a ghastly sight.

Brother Li took a step forward, aimed the muzzle at the sluggish Yisuti’s heart, and sneered, "Such a pretty face. What a waste."

"I’ve never fucked a monster before."

"Haha."

As if grasping at a lifeline, Yisuti begged, "Spare me. I’ll let you have me."

Hearing this, Brother Li burst out laughing, feeling an immense sense of satisfaction.

’So monsters have days like this too?’

’Begging me for mercy?’

’Too bad I’m not going to make such a stupid mistake!’

"Be good now. Close your eyes."

He pulled the trigger again without hesitation. "I’ll be quick."

Just then, a sharp pain shot through his right hand—the one holding the gun. The pistol fell as a crimson tongue pierced straight through his right arm!

"Aargh!"

Screaming in pain, Brother Li didn’t know what had happened. His first instinct was to grab the gun.

The crimson tongue wrapped around his arm and, with a sudden burst of force, slammed him against the wall.

THUD.

THUD.

...

Once, twice... It didn’t stop until Brother Li was violently coughing up blood and on the verge of death.

A young man with a pale face, gloomy eyes, and his private parts covered by leaves emerged from under the desk. His open chest and the crimson tongue revealed him to be a Long-tongued Monster.

’Two of them?’

Brother Li despaired.

He had calculated everything, but he’d never imagined there were two monsters, with one hidden right there in the room.

Thinking back to No. 7’s strange behavior, he was filled with regret. He should have been suspicious then. He had been too careless.

"Domidi, it’s you!"

Yisuti’s eyes lit up. "How did you get in here too?" she asked.

Domidi was the most handsome member of their clan, though he was overly brooding, giving him a gloomy air. Countless women of their clan wanted to throw themselves into his arms.

But he only had eyes for her, a widow.

Unfortunately, she only wanted to focus on taking care of her two children.

Domidi glanced at Brother Li, and once he was sure the man had no strength left to resist, he retracted his crimson tongue and said, "Sister-in-law, you were so beautiful bathing in the lake."

"I just happened to be passing by and was so captivated by the sight that I got caught in the mysterious white fog and brought here."

’What a shameless way to describe being a peeping tom.’

Hearing this, Yisuti frowned, a look of disgust on her face.

"Sister-in-law, you probably don’t know yet, but your two children have been killed."

Seeing her reaction, Domidi cut straight to the chase without any more nonsense.

He hadn’t originally planned to reveal himself, but when he saw two humans kill Yisuti’s children and even knew how to use the children’s hearts to temper their weapons, he immediately realized these two humans were not simple.

’I wanted to meet them for myself.’

Besides, with Yisuti’s children dead...

...he now had a chance to be with her.

This was the perfect opportunity to prove himself, which was why he chose to appear when Yisuti was in the most danger.

"What?"

Yisuti froze. The news was too sudden.

"They were killed by two members of the Human Race."

Domidi continued, "They used your children’s Spiritual Hearts to temper their Weapons. If you don’t believe me, you can find them and see for yourself if their Weapons have been tempered by a Spiritual Heart."

"I suggest we team up. Otherwise, we might not be a match for those two humans."

Their Long-tongued Clan could easily recognize a Weapon that had been tempered by a Spiritual Heart.

"This... this..."

Already severely injured, Yisuti felt as if she had been dealt a fatal blow by this news. All the strength seemed to drain from her body, and she collapsed back to the ground just after getting to her feet.

Thinking about how she hadn’t heard from her two children, she knew Domidi was most likely not lying.

"Damned humans."

"Damn it! Damn it!"

The thought of her beloved children being taken from her so cruelly quickly overwhelmed Yisuti with the power of hatred. An endless well of Power surged from within her, and she said with chilling killing intent, "Help me."

"Afterward, I’m yours."

Hearing this, a smile spread across Domidi’s face.
