Eren ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍walked in front carrying the firewood on his back, while Mikasa followed at his side, occasionally turning around to glance at the figure trailing behind them.

Dragon ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Lord walked with his hands behind his back, his steps calm and unhurried.

At ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍this moment, he had already cast a spell to shrink his body down to the size of an ordinary person. The dragon horns atop his head and the tail behind him had also disappeared.

If ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍not for those purple vertical pupils that still carried a trace of peculiarity, he now looked no different from a robust ordinary old man.

There ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍was no helping it. The Yeager family’s house was not large enough to fit his previous size.

Naturally, Eren and Mikasa were both filled with astonishment at Dragon Lord’s transformation.

Dragon Lord’s explanation to Eren was simple—

After you treat me to dinner, I’ll slowly explain everything to you.

At this moment, Eren pushed open the front door and shouted loudly:

“I’m back!”

Inside the room, a middle-aged man was sitting beside the table flipping through a thick medical book. It was Eren’s father, Grisha Yeager.

The sound of cooking utensils clattering came from the kitchen as a woman wearing an apron poked her head out. It was Eren’s mother, Carla.

She wore a smile on her face.

“You’re back? Perfect, dinner’s almost rea—eh?”

Carla saw Dragon Lord standing at the doorway.

Grisha also lifted his head, his gaze landing on the unfamiliar old man.

Eren placed the firewood by the door and excitedly said:

“Dad, Mom, this is Grandpa Dragon Lord. He got lost outside and was hungry, so I invited him home for dinner!”

Mikasa stood quietly at the side without speaking.

Grisha put down his medical book and stood up. Though his gaze carried a trace of scrutiny, his tone remained friendly.

“So that’s how it is. Please have a seat, sir. There’s no need to be polite.”

Carla also smiled.

“This is the first time Eren’s ever voluntarily brought a guest home. Please wait a moment, sir. The food will be ready soon.”

Dragon Lord slightly nodded, a gentle smile on his face.

“My apologies for the disturbance.”

Not long after, the meal was served.

There were no luxurious delicacies, merely black bread, potato stew, and a small piece of salted meat.

Within these lands inside the walls, this already counted as a fairly well-off household.

Dragon Lord picked up the wooden spoon and took a sip.

...To be honest, it was not delicious.

The potatoes had been boiled too soft, the salted meat was rather dry, and the soup contained slightly too much salt.

Compared to the immortal delicacies he enjoyed within the grotto-heaven, the difference was like heaven and earth.

Yet his expression did not change at all as he calmly ate mouthful after mouthful.

Eren sat across from him, staring eagerly several times wanting to speak, only to be stopped each time by Mikasa’s gaze.

Finally, after everyone put down their bowls and utensils, Eren could no longer hold himself back.

“Grandpa Dragon Lord, you said earlier that you came from overseas? What kind of place is overseas? Are there... walls there too?”

Dragon Lord set down his bowl and replied:

“As for overseas, it is actually a general term for the lands beyond the walls. Cross Wall Maria, pass through the wilderness where Titans roam, then traverse a vast ocean, and you will arrive there.”

“The ocean?” Eren froze.

“What does ocean mean?”

Dragon Lord thought for a moment.

“The ocean is a very, very large body of water.”

“So large that you cannot see its boundaries at a glance. So large that when you stand upon the shore, all you can see is where the sky and sea meet as one line.”

Eren listened in fascination as the light in his eyes grew brighter and brighter.

“Then overseas... are there really people there?”

“There are.” Dragon Lord nodded.

“Not only are there people, there are many of them. They build cities, multiply and thrive, living lives completely different from yours within the walls.”

Eren opened his mouth, still wanting to ask more.

At that moment, however, Grisha Yeager’s expression changed.

“Sir, may I ask... are you perhaps a Marleyan?”

Dragon Lord looked at Grisha. No ripple appeared within those purple vertical pupils.

Marleyan.

Within the context of this world, those three words carried tremendous significance.

Back then, the Eldians relied upon Titan power to establish a massive empire upon the continent, enslaving nations such as Marley for nearly a thousand years.

Only a little over a century ago did the Marleyans launch a rebellion and unite with other oppressed peoples to overthrow the Eldian Empire.

At the time, the Eldian king, the 145th King Fritz, no longer wished to continue the war, so he led a portion of his people to escape to this island known as Paradis Island.

Using Titan power, he erected three massive walls and altered the memories of all the people within them.

He made them believe humanity outside the walls had already gone extinct, leaving only man-eating Titans behind.

That was how these walls came to be.

As for the Eldians who remained within Marley’s internment zones, they were enslaved generation after generation, treated as tools of war, and indoctrinated with the belief that their compatriots inside the walls were devils.

The Marleyans selected suitable children from among them to inherit the intelligent Titans and become Warriors serving Marley.

And Grisha Yeager—

This man was precisely an Eldian who escaped from Marley’s internment zone.

He infiltrated the walls carrying the power of the Attack Titan, married, had children, and concealed his identity.

His mission was to seize the Founding Titan from the royal family within the walls.

And according to the original course of events, tonight, the boy named Bertholdt Hoover would transform into the Colossal Titan and kick open Wall Maria.

Countless civilians would be devoured by Titans, including the woman currently busy in the kitchen before them—

Carla Yeager.

Eren’s mother.

Dragon Lord withdrew his thoughts and waved his hand.

“Rest assured, Mr. Yeager. This old man is no Marleyan.”

Grisha froze. The vigilance in his eyes had not completely vanished, but now there was also hesitation.

“Then sir, you are...?”

Dragon Lord smiled but did not explain.

He raised his hand, and a jade pendant appeared from thin air at his fingertips.

The pendant was pure white throughout, obviously no ordinary object at first glance.

He looked toward Eren, his tone gentle.

“Eren, thank you for treating this old man to this meal.”

He tossed the jade pendant over, and Eren subconsciously caught it.

“This jade pendant shall be considered this old man’s gift of thanks,” Dragon Lord said. “Keep it on your person, and it can help steady your mind against external evils.”

Eren held the jade pendant in both hands, momentarily unsure what to say.

He had far too many questions he wanted to ask—for example, what exactly did external evils mean?

But the moment he raised his head, Dragon Lord’s figure had already vanished without a trace.

Eren froze on the spot.

Mikasa abruptly stood up, her gaze sweeping across every corner of the room, yet she found nothing.

“Th-This... where did Grandpa go?”

No one could answer him.

Meanwhile—

Within the Supreme Creation Lesser Luo Grotto Heaven.

Dragon Lord’s figure emerged from the void and landed before the Longevity Hall.

Gu Yan stood beside the World Tree with his hands behind his back.

“You’re back?”

Dragon Lord nodded.

“I’m back.”

......

Time rewound to the span of one incense stick earlier.

Attack on Titan world.

Beyond Wall Maria, upon the wilderness.

Dusk hung heavy as a group of Pure Titans wandered aimlessly.

Their bodies were twisted, their faces ferocious, saliva dripping from their mouths as they let out low growls.

Suddenly, a figure appeared out of thin air within the void.

It was a middle-aged man wearing a black robe, his features refined and lean, his temperament gentle as jade.

The newcomer was Fang Yuan.

He looked at the approaching Pure Titan and lightly shook his head.

Then he raised his hand and casually waved it.

In the next instant, the Pure Titan’s massive body began trembling violently.

Then came a muffled boom.

The Titan’s body abruptly collapsed, transforming into countless specks of light that dispersed into the air.

And within those specks of light, a human figure fell downward.

It was a middle-aged man named Kijiro, dressed in tattered clothes, his eyes filled with confusion.

He landed upon the ground and gasped heavily before lowering his head to look at his own hands.

Those were human hands.

Not a Titan’s claws.

Kijiro froze.

He opened his mouth and spoke in a hoarse voice:

“I... I changed back?”

Fang Yuan ignored him.

He raised his hand once more and lightly pressed toward the void.

An invisible ripple spread outward in all directions with him at the center.

Wherever the ripple passed, every Pure Titan upon Paradis Island simultaneously froze in place.

Then their bodies disintegrated into specks of light, while naked human figures safely fell from within the light.

One.

Two.

Ten.

Hundreds.

Thousands.

In this single instant, every Pure Titan across Paradis Island returned to human form.

They stood blankly upon the wilderness, staring at their own hands and at each other, having no idea what had happened.

Meanwhile, somewhere beyond the walls, three youths were hiding behind a rock, preparing to act.

Reiner Braun.

Bertholdt Hoover.

Annie Leonhart.

They stared at the countless specks of light filling the sky and the human figures descending from above, their expressions frozen stiff.

“Wh-What is this?” Reiner muttered.
