Chapter 327: Chapter 325: Fighting

Su Miaoyi listened to Tian Min’s voice and said, "You have a nice voice."

Tian Min replied very politely, "Thank you."

But their hands were still locked in a struggle.

Tian Min gripped the utility knife, trying to stab her, while Su Miaoyi held her wrist, stopping her.

"It was you who told Twenty-one to kill me, wasn’t it?" Su Miaoyi asked.

"Why should I tell you," Tian Min said.

Su Miaoyi clicked her tongue. "Since you’ve started talking, there’s no need for us to hold anything back."

"Why didn’t you call for backup?" Tian Min asked.

"Like I said, I came alone. The others are up on the mountain. By the time they get down here, it’ll be over between us," Su Miaoyi said. "I knew you wouldn’t believe me."

"Whether I believe you or not, we’re already at this point. It doesn’t matter if you came alone," Tian Min said. "I’m going to kill you no matter what. I won’t let you leave."

"Even if it costs you your life?" Su Miaoyi looked at her. "You’re willing to give up a peaceful life with your brothers?"

A flicker of hesitation crossed Tian Min’s eyes, but it vanished just as quickly. "I already tried to secure a peaceful life. Twenty-one failed, and the outcome wasn’t what I’d hoped for. There’s nothing to be done about that. Besides... like you said, if you arrest me again, you probably won’t ever let me go. If I risk it all now and kill you, I can still escape. I can still live. And if I live, I can see my brothers again. I can see them get married and have children."

"You’re very self-confident," Su Miaoyi said.

"I’ve heard you’re very capable," Tian Min said, looking at her with a slight smile. "I like capable people."

’Mia said that, too.’ Su Miaoyi’s eyes twitched at her words.

With a flick of her wrist, Tian Min broke free of Su Miaoyi’s grip and lunged with the utility knife, aiming for her heart.

Su Miaoyi leaned back to dodge, getting to her feet in the same motion.

Tian Min’s attacks were fast and powerful.

Su Miaoyi remained on the defensive, continuously dodging without striking back.

’She quickly realized it. Tian Min was on par with Mia, perhaps even a little stronger.’

’That made her even more curious about Tian Min’s past.’

’She was supposedly helping her aunt in Chang City and living in a rental with her brothers. This village is so remote... How did she meet *that person*? How did she become so formidable without her aunt or brothers knowing?’

’Let me,’ said the voice in her head.

Su Miaoyi pulled away from Tian Min. The instant she closed her eyes, her entire demeanor changed.

Tian Min keenly sensed that her entire aura had changed.

Su Miaoyi balled her fists and charged.

With no time to think, Tian Min gripped her knife, dodging and counter-attacking.

They clashed. Within two minutes, the small room looked like it had been hit by a disaster, with things toppled over and shattered everywhere.

In the entire room, aside from the house itself, only the wardrobe was still standing. Even the bed had collapsed in the fight.

Tian Min slammed Su Miaoyi against the wardrobe. Su Miaoyi’s hand blocked her wrist, the utility knife stopping just short of her neck.

Tian Min pushed harder. Seizing the opportunity, Su Miaoyi used a reverse grip to grab her wrist, slammed *her* against the wardrobe, and threw a punch.

Tian Min dodged. Su Miaoyi’s fist punched straight through the wardrobe door.

"You’re not here to fight, you’re here to demolish my house," Tian Min clicked her tongue.

Su Miaoyi didn’t say a word, just pressed forward to continue the attack.

They fought their way from the wardrobe to the window.

Just as Zhuang Yanzheng and Duan Wenrui arrived, they saw the two women crash through the window and tumble outside.

Glass shattered everywhere.

Duan Wenrui instinctively drew his gun and aimed it at Tian Min. "Police! Don’t move!"

But after rolling through the broken glass onto the ground, both Tian Min and Su Miaoyi scrambled back to their feet.

As if she hadn’t heard Duan Wenrui, Tian Min got up and tried to run. Zhuang Yanzheng moved to intercept.

But Su Miaoyi was faster, grabbing hold of Tian Min.

Tian Min broke free, but Su Miaoyi grabbed her again, pinning her against a nearby wall.

As Tian Min tried to struggle free again, Zhuang Yanzheng also grabbed her, holding her down.

Su Miaoyi pulled the drawstring from her jacket hood and tied Tian Min’s hands together.

Zhuang Yanzheng took out his handcuffs and cuffed her hands.

A double precaution. They worried she might secretly break free if only handcuffs were used.

It was a special skill of assassins: breaking one’s own fingers to escape handcuffs.

Tian Min struggled for a moment, but realizing she had no chance of escape, she went still.

Zhuang Yanzheng looked at Su Miaoyi. "Are you hurt?"

Su Miaoyi glanced at him without a word.

"You..." Zhuang Yanzheng said one word, but didn’t finish his sentence.

’She switched again?’

Then he watched as Su Miaoyi closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she was back to the person he knew.

Zhuang Yanzheng opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

’It was like he’d just watched her transform with his own eyes.’

Duan Wenrui walked over. "Are you hurt?"

"No." Su Miaoyi looked at Tian Min and noticed blood on her arm and shoulder. "Is there a first-aid kit in the house?"

"What for?" Tian Min asked.

Zhuang Yanzheng and Duan Wenrui were both stunned. "You can actually talk?"

Tian Min looked at the two of them, then shot them a glare.

Zhuang Yanzheng and Duan Wenrui were taken aback, then exchanged a look.

They’d been scorned.

Neither of them could immediately adjust to Tian Min’s sudden transformation.

The weak, silent, and timid person they once knew was not only an incredible fighter, but had also just glared at them.

"First-aid kit?" Su Miaoyi repeated.

"I have alcohol and gauze," Tian Min said.

"Let’s go."

Su Miaoyi and Tian Min went into the room.

"It’s on the second shelf of the wardrobe you broke," Tian Min said.

"You really hold a grudge," Su Miaoyi remarked as she went to open the wardrobe.

"Look at my room. Is there anything left of it? Shouldn’t I hold a grudge?" Tian Min said. "Look at the things I made. They’re all ruined."

"I’m pretty sure you’re the one who kicked this over," Su Miaoyi said, pointing to something on the floor.

Tian Min fell silent.

Su Miaoyi retrieved the alcohol and gauze, then examined her wounds.

She’d been cut by the glass when they rolled on the ground. The wounds weren’t very deep.

"You’re a pretty nice person. I was trying to kill you, and here you are, treating my wounds," Tian Min said.

"Didn’t you always think I was a decent person?" Unable to find any cotton swabs, Su Miaoyi poured the alcohol directly onto the gauze.

Tian Min looked at her.

Su Miaoyi said, "Don’t get emotional. This is how we treat all criminals—we reform them with love. To put it bluntly, we would’ve had to treat these wounds for you sooner or later anyway."

Tian Min: "..."

As the alcohol-soaked gauze touched her wound, Tian Min sucked in a sharp breath.

Su Miaoyi asked, "When did you get your voice back?"

"Five or six years ago, I think. I don’t remember exactly," Tian Min said.

"Do Tian Shi and Tian Xuan know?"

"No," Tian Min said. "I didn’t want them to know too much. I was planning to tell them gradually, after everything was settled."

Su Miaoyi quickly disinfected her wounds and wrapped them with gauze.

"Thank you."

"We just had a life-or-death fight. No need to be so polite."

Tian Min let out a short laugh. "It shows I’m well-mannered."

Su Miaoyi: "..."
