I Seek Immortality Through Serendipity

Chapter 463 - 328: Lake’s Evil Eye, Evil-avoiding Magical Pillar!

  • Next Chapter

Beyond the layers of towering mountains, there lies a vast lake.

The lake water stretches as far as the eye can see, extending to unknown bounds.

Above the lake surface, a layer of gray fog looms all year round, resembling a dome that obscures the entire lake.

Within the fog, strange howls occasionally echo, seemingly the sound of weapons slicing through the air, interspersed with eerie laughter, sending shivers down the spine.

From time to time, radiant treasure light pierces through the sky, its dazzling brilliance catching the eye.

"Whoosh!"

Amidst the mountains, occasionally, birds and demon beasts cross the peaks and approach the lakeside, seemingly to drink water.

But as soon as they reach the lake surface, the gray fog surges like a tide, enveloping them, causing the birds and demon beasts to flap their wings and fly desperately towards the lake bottom, even when their feathers are thoroughly soaked, they struggle to move, yet still strive with all their might to fly towards the lake bottom, as if something exotic treasure within the lake is attracting them.

By the lakeside, beneath the cliff, there is a blue stone.

The blue stone is smooth, timeless, spanning left and right for a hundred feet, resembling a giant wide sword lying across the lake surface, and upon the blue stone, there are six stone pillars engraved with seal patterns, their appearance unchanged by the passage of time.

A faint spiritual light permeates above the blue stone, activating some array formation; this spot on the lake surface is the only refuge of the entire lake, where the thick fog dares not step beyond the Thunder Pool.

And at this moment, two figures are already waiting upon the blue stone.

Gua Daoist sits on the central stone pillar, eyes closed, resting and silent, lost in thought.

Beside him stands a burly man with a coarse beard, his eyes occasionally flashing with fragments of golden light, constantly peering towards the distant lake, as if attempting to discern something, yet after a long time, he can only give up in futility.

"Fellow Daoist Gua, is it possible that only six people teaming up can cross this Treasure Burial Lake?"

The burly man withdraws his gaze and then turns to Gua Daoist, his face somewhat sullen as he asks.

Upon hearing, Gua Daoist responds without lifting his head, "This Secret Realm was originally created by the Spirit Treasure Sect for the training of their disciples. Only by six people joining forces can the Grand Array at the dock be activated, summoning the Yin Crossing Treasure Ship. Without this ship, it would be wishful thinking for a Mid-stage Golden Core Cultivator to attempt to cross the lake."

Looking at the six spiritual pillars on the blue stone, the burly man’s eyes appear slightly cloudy, thinking briefly, then secretly communicates to Gua Daoist:

"Fellow Daoist Gua, this Secret Realm is full of hidden talents, even the disciples of the Divine Will Sect are here to join the fun. The final struggle for Spirit Treasure Cliff is bound to be fierce. In my view, why don’t we join forces?"

Gua Daoist inwardly sneers, knowing Zhongli Quan is fearful of the others’ methods.

Still, he has been waiting for this person to speak.

After all, because of the previous "Gua image," he is extremely cautious.

Pretending to ponder for a moment, Gua Daoist then replies, "Joining forces is not impossible, but Fellow Daoist must first follow my arrangements and seek the opportunity to eliminate one person."

"Oh? Who causes Fellow Daoist to dread? Could it be that Songg Yuyang of the Divine Will Sect or that Sword Cultivator who appeared last?"

The burly man hastily asks.

Of the two people mentioned, they are the ones exerting the greatest pressure on him, merely witnessing their entrance methods left him deeply apprehensive.

If these two could be eliminated, the struggle within the Secret Realm would indeed hold possibilities!

"Seven Treasures Dharma Body Sect!"

"That white-haired young fellow!"

Gua Daoist spoke solemnly.

"Him? He belongs to Seven Treasures Dharma Body Sect, no wonder he could catch Fellow Daoist Tangg’s Dharma Seal barehanded!"

"Can this person surpass Songg Yuyang? Fellow Daoist, do not make a mistake!"

The burly man is shocked, but then furrows his brows with some uncertainty as he asks.

Upon hearing these words, Gua Daoist becomes furious, puts away his Daoist Banner, turns his back, and ceases to speak.

The burly man quickly offers a smile, "Fellow Daoist, please forgive me, just surprised and amazed for a moment."

He then asks, "What means does he possess that makes you so apprehensive?"

Gua Daoist doesn’t turn around, merely shakes his head, "The Gua cannot fathom everything!"

"When should we make our move? Is there confidence in dealing with this person?"

The burly man asks again.

"Don’t rush, there is another Fellow Daoist we can win over!"

Gua Daoist smiles faintly.

The burly man is astonished, wanting to ask further, as he sees dazzling lightning shattering the floating clouds, booming overhead, within which a mighty Flood Dragon rolls, imposing and fierce.

"It’s here!"

Gua Daoist sees this and turns to smile broadly, displaying a confident look.

"Is it this Thunder Flood Dragon?!"

The burly man suddenly realizes, gaining more confidence in the upcoming Secret Realm struggle.

The arrival of the Thunder Flood Dragon seems to be a signal.

On the floating clouds above the horizon, a turquoise Flood Dragon stirs the wind and rain, drawing cloud Qi, rolling grandly towards the blue stone.

Atop the dragon’s head stands a Daoist clad in blue feathered garments, with an extraordinary demeanor, hands behind his back and a tranquil smile.

"Greetings, Fellow Daoists!"

Songg Yuyang lands almost simultaneously with the Thunder Flood Dragon, the former smilingly bows to the two, while the latter transforms into a nine-foot tall man, coldly snorting at the green Flood Dragon retracting into Songg Yuyang’s sleeve.

"Ah, Fellow Daoist Songg is here!"

Gua Daoist beams, bows to Songg Yuyang, and leads him to a spiritual pillar, warmly stating:

"Just wait a bit for the other Fellow Daoists to arrive, then we can activate the Grand Array and summon the Yin Crossing Treasure Ship."

Facing Gua Daoist’s enthusiasm, Songg Yuyang merely smiles faintly, then lifts his gaze to the distant lake.
