"Shopkeeper Wu, no need to thank us. We were just doing our duty..." the soldier captain said with a chuckle as he accepted the "small token."

Seeing that the soldier captain had accepted his gift, the Merchant Team Leader hurriedly made a small request.

"Sir, would you do us the favor of allowing us to travel back to Dongwu City with you?"

"We’re all heading the same way, so of course you can join us. Hurry up and get your things ready, and we’ll head back..." Having accepted the payment, the soldier captain naturally wasn’t going to refuse such a minor request.
