Chapter 955: 955 DXD: The Pudding Villains League is born, Rias and Akeno in Predator mode. Sona Sitri and Koneko Tojo.
"Coming here often just to annoy the other students? Count me in, Onee-sama. But that last part sounds like an indecent proposal, so I’ll have to think about it. I promised to remain pure and chaste until marriage or the end of the month; I don’t know which comes first." Allen said confidently.
Rias was momentarily speechless, her lips slightly parted, before bursting into laughter so loud that even Koneko, who was usually a silent ghost in the shadows of the club, peeked out curiously. The redhead had to lean against the back of the sofa, feeling an unusual warmth rise to her cheeks at Allen’s remark. No one, absolutely no one, had ever responded to her with such shamelessness about his supposed monthly chastity. Allen’s carefree attitude was like a gale that knocked down all her diplomatic defenses.
"Pure and chaste! Allen, you’re going to be the death of me!" she exclaimed, waving a hand in the air as she tried to regain her composure. "You’re the first boy who’s dared to call me that with that innocent expression after suggesting something so ridiculous. The end of the month? That gives me a dangerously short window of time to convince you otherwise, don’t you think?"
Akeno, who was no longer hiding her fascination, let out an "Ara ara" that was much deeper and more vibrant than usual. She approached from behind Allen’s sofa, allowing the tips of her fingers to brush against the leather near the young man’s shoulders. Her violet eyes gleamed with electric mischief, enjoying the way this human was testing her president’s composure.
"My, my, Allen-kun... what noble goals you have~" Akeno purred, leaning close enough for her breath to brush against his ear. "But be careful. Here in this club, we’re experts at corrupting the most sacred promises, especially if they involve making it to the end of the month. The president can be very persuasive when something, or someone, seems so... refreshing~."
Rias nodded, regaining that playful air of superiority that characterized her so well, although her eyes remained fixed on him with a newfound intensity.
"Very well, Allen Walker. I accept the challenge. Come whenever you want to sow chaos. Just don’t blame this Onee-sama if, by the end of the day, you discover that Kuoh has rules much more interesting than those of the wig-wearing teacher~."
"Oh, so it’ll be an evil partnership Onee-sama. You should change the name to the League of Villains, just in case we decide to conquer the world or collect taxes." Allen grabbed his chin thoughtfully. "I don’t know which one would be worse, honestly."
Rias couldn’t stop another laugh from escaping her lips, leaning forward as her crimson hair framed her amused face. "Taxes? Allen, I already like you more than any politician my family has ever introduced me to," she commented with a mischievous gleam in her blue eyes. "The League of Villains of Pudding... haha, it has undeniable marketing appeal. Although conquering the world sounds like far too much administrative work. I’d rather focus on more tangible things, like making sure this knight-in-training doesn’t escape our grasp so easily."
"By the way, Onee-sama Akeno, it’s fine that you like my hair, but as a pure young man being fully developed is too stimulating when you have your fingers around my neck," Allen said honestly.
The redhead watched with fascination as Allen handled the presence of her Queen with a naturalness that bordered on insolence, something very few people managed to do without ending up trembling with fear or desire.
Akeno, for her part, let out an "Ara ara" so charged with electricity that it seemed to vibrate through the air in the room. Far from withdrawing her hand, she allowed her fingers to slide slowly along the line of Allen’s neck, amused by his brutal honesty.
"My, my, Allen-kun~ How observant. It’s so rare to find a boy who doesn’t immediately melt or pretend he doesn’t feel anything," the black-haired girl purred, bringing her lips close to the back of his neck without actually touching him. "But if this is too stimulating, perhaps I should practice my technique with you a little more. A knight should learn to maintain his composure even in the face of the most... dangerous temptations in this academy."
Rias crossed her legs, watching the scene with a growing sense of possessiveness that surprised even her. There was something about Allen’s essence that attracted her like a moth to a flame, a warmth that made no distinction between demons, contrasting sharply with his sharp and shameless tongue.
"Be careful, Allen," Rias warned with a predatory yet charming smile. "Akeno isn’t the type to accept a ’no’ for an answer when she finds a toy she thinks is amusing. And I, as her president, have a duty to supervise all of her... educational experiments."
Allen stood up indignantly and pointed at them. "Hold it right there. I’m all for the League of Evil Pudding, and the idea of coming here to play is perfect. However, if you expect me, a just, upright, handsome, sexy, heroic man who is absolutely not lazy or shameless, to agree to being the toy of two beautiful older sisters... ugh... no, no! ... Maybe... no, no, definitely not! I have my pride. Hmph!"
Allen snorted, turned around, and left the room, but soon peeked back inside.
"I’ll come back tomorrow. Bye."
Allen returned to inform Sona that he had completed his mission.
Rias remained frozen for a second, processing the endless list of adjectives Allen had assigned to himself with such hilariously blatant lack of modesty. When the boy finally peeked back in to confirm that he would return before hurrying toward the main building, the Gremory heiress couldn’t hold back a laugh that echoed through the club’s upholstered walls. She dropped onto the sofa, hiding her face in her hands as her shoulders shook with pure amusement, feeling a vitality she couldn’t remember experiencing in years of boring protocols.
Akeno, meanwhile, remained standing with her fingers still suspended in the air, licking her lips with a predatory look that promised very interesting consequences for tomorrow’s visit.
"It’s incredible... he actually said he has pride after declaring himself ’handsome’ and ’sexy,’" Rias managed to say between gasps of laughter, composing herself and adjusting her skirt with a determined gleam in her eyes. "Akeno, I think we’ve finally found someone who not only isn’t afraid of us, but is capable of making fun of our own game. Tomorrow, we’ll have to greet him with something much more impressive than simple tea."
Rias, from the window of the old building, watched the young man’s silhouette disappear across the campus. Her engagement to Riser and the shadows of her lineage seemed to fade for a moment at the prospect of playing with that strange boy who preferred pudding to glory.
....
Some time later, in the main building, Allen stood in front of Sona Sitri, who watched him suspiciously over her glasses, noticing the shamelessly satisfied aura on his face.
"Mission accomplished!" Allen said with a serious expression, as if he had just returned from war.
Sona stared at him in silence. "Of course. It was only a matter of delivering documents. If you couldn’t accomplish at least that without falling asleep, I’d throw you out the window."
"Hey, I risked my life! I was almost eaten by two Onee-sama!" Allen protested.
"..." Sona adjusted her glasses with surgical precision, observing Allen’s unnecessary dramatics with a mixture of exhaustion and resignation. She knew perfectly well that sending the boy to the Occult Research Club was a risk, not because of any physical danger, but because of the inevitable collision between Walker’s shamelessness and Rias’s pride.
The Student Council president’s stern gaze did not waver, although deep down she was intrigued that he had returned intact and with such chaotically vibrant energy.
"Your ability to turn a simple errand into a war epic is, to say the least, fascinating, Allen," Sona replied in a cold voice, although her eyes glimmered with a hint of intellectual curiosity. "I assume the documents reached Gremory’s hands without pudding stains or inappropriate comments about the faculty’s appearance. Knowing you, it’s a miracle they didn’t expel you from that building before you even crossed the threshold."
"What kind of image do you have of me?" Allen asked, at a loss for words.
Sona crossed her arms, noticing that strange magnetism Allen gave off, a warmth that even she, always methodical and cold, found unusually comforting. It was a sensation that challenged her logic and study plans, something that forced her to maintain an even stricter professional distance so she wouldn’t give in to the laughter the boy provoked.
"If you’ve truly finished with your ’military service’ for the day, I suggest you return to your normal duties. There will be a general inspection tomorrow, and I will not tolerate you using your charisma to evade your academic responsibilities... again," she declared, although deep down she wondered what kind of chaos he had caused in her rival’s club.
Rias would probably call her soon to complain or, worse, to ask for more information about the new and peculiar student who seemed immune to authority and the hierarchy of the Underworld.
"Oh, does that mean I’m free? Thanks, President. I promise I won’t seduce the cook anymore. And about Rias and Akeno... they really were nice, and now we’re forming a League of Villains, although I think they want my chastity. I didn’t really understand that last part."
"Well, Sona, I won’t bother you anymore today. See you tomorrow for another punishment... not that I’m asking for one."
Allen left the room.
Sona remained frozen, her hand still on the bridge of her glasses as she processed the torrent of nonsense Allen had just unleashed. "League of Villains? Chastity?!" she repeated to herself in a whisper, feeling the beginnings of a migraine forming at her temples.
The mere idea of Rias being involved in something so absurd was enough to make her question the sanity of the entire demon aristocracy, but with Allen involved, any madness seemed plausible.
"Allen Walker, wait!" Sona called out, but the boy had already crossed the door with the carefree stride that characterized him, or perhaps he was simply running away in style.
The Student Council president sighed deeply, sinking into her chair as she massaged her forehead. She knew she shouldn’t have sent him there. Now Rias would have a new toy to distract her from her duties, and what was worse, that toy was a catalyst for chaos that respected neither high-class demons nor school conduct manuals.
Meanwhile, Allen walked through the halls of Kuoh, ignoring the looks of the other students who moved aside at his strange aura of confidence.
Allen went to class and, at the end of the day, went home.
....
Upon arriving at his apartment, he threw himself onto the sofa, thinking about the redhead and the black-haired girl who seemed so interested in his ’chastity.’ It was a ridiculous situation, but strangely exciting.
"It’s my punishment for being so sexy," Allen said dramatically.
....
At the club building, Rias was still looking out the window, a small smile playing on her crimson lips.
"Tomorrow will be an interesting day, won’t it, Akeno?" Rias asked without taking her eyes off the path Allen had taken.
"Ufufu~" Akeno, who was finishing cleaning the teacups, nodded with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.
Neither of them yet knew what made Allen so special, but they were determined to find out, no matter what it took, even if they had to deal with his villain delusions and his sacred monthly chastity.
....
At night...
Allen dreamed that he was standing in an endless field of white flowers, but soon he woke up, feeling as though he had forgotten something.
"I want an apple..." Allen said.
The young man sighed and got up, but stepped on something and fell flat on his face.
"Ugh, good thing nobody saw that..."
Looking down to find the culprit behind such a violation of his freedom, Allen saw an apple. He picked it up and noticed that it was perfect, unlike a real one, which usually had bumps, ridges, and asymmetry. This was a perfect apple that looked as though it had been handmade.
Allen bit into it and melted...
"This thing is fucking delicious!" Allen said.
Since he was little, every once in a while, something he had dreamed about or wished for would appear near him, but they were such small details that he had never considered them strange.
....
Allen arrived at school and went to his classroom.
Allen ignored the people staring at him and sat down, but soon several girls approached him. Needless to say, he was very handsome, even more so than Kiba, but his shamelessness and laziness seemed to somewhat counterbalance his physical attractiveness.
Class began and ended...
When the bell rang, Allen went to the Occult Research Club, or the League of Villains.
On his way to the club that afternoon, the seemingly ordinary young man saw a white-haired girl watching him.
It was Koneko.
"Hello," Allen said with a smile.
Koneko looked at him with her usual narrowed golden eyes, evaluating him with the same calm intensity a cat used to decide whether a visitor deserved its attention. Her cat ears weren’t visible, but her imaginary tail practically vibrated with caution. In her hand, she carried a bag of ball-shaped chocolates, from which she took one and held it near her mouth without biting into it yet.
"Buchou said you’d be coming today," she murmured in her flat, almost monotone voice. "She also said you’re loud and shameless. I don’t know which is worse."
However, there was one detail that Koneko couldn’t quite explain. Allen’s presence, instead of putting her Nekoshou instincts on edge as it usually did with almost everyone, reached her with a warm calmness, like a blanket warmed by the sun. It was irritatingly comfortable.
She took a step toward him without taking her eyes off him and held out a second ball-shaped chocolate toward his chest, a silent offer laden with meaning. Very few people received chocolate from her personal bag; including him among them after less than three minutes of interaction was statistically catastrophic.
"You know, nobody at this school comes to this building smiling of their own free will," she said, pressing her lips together as if organizing her own thoughts. "If you’re weak, you’ll be consumed by Rias and Akeno. If you’re troublesome, the same thing. You can keep that: be careful, but at least... eat well."
Without another word, she turned around and began walking toward the old club building, her steps light but measured, silently expecting the easy-smiling boy to follow her.
"Thanks, you’re very kind, but I don’t understand why people are like that. They’re both very nice people. They even agreed to become villains in the League of Villains, and we’re going to conquer the world... or collect taxes, whichever is worse."
Allen walked behind Koneko.
"Besides, I’m not loud, and ’shameless’ sounds really bad. I prefer ’charismatically honest,’" Allen said with a smile.
Koneko paused for a moment at the mention of taxes, turning her face slightly to look at Allen with a mixture of bewilderment and a hint of amusement hidden behind her mask of indifference. That this human would compare her president and vice president to tax collectors was such an outrage that it almost bordered on the adorable—at least from her peculiar perspective.
Koneko thought Allen was a very strange guy, but unexpectedly pleasant.
