Chapter 476: Chapter 345: Martial Continent’s Forbidden Zone

"Alright, thank you very much, Senior. I will be careful."

Yu Changsheng nodded. After thanking the Profound Turtle once more, he felt his heart ease slightly.

Whatever the case, the crisis was resolved, at least for now.

Yu Changsheng knew perfectly well that he was no match for a group of Golden Core Peak Cultivators attacking him from all sides. At best, he could have only delayed the inevitable.

Thus, his only chance at survival was to find an unconventional way to break the deadlock. The Celestial Tribulation was the method he came up with.

After all, he was now able to break through to the Golden Core realm at any moment. The catch was that he would have to face a Celestial Tribulation, and since it would be his first, he wouldn’t dare attempt it unprepared.

’I never thought the Celestial Tribulation itself would become a tool for my survival. Who would have guessed...’

Yu Changsheng muttered to himself before shaking his head with a wry laugh and a soft sigh.

’It’s just a shame this trick only works by surprise. Besides, if I were to draw down a Celestial Tribulation again, the Profound Turtle probably wouldn’t be able to conceal my presence from the heavens a second time...’

To have escaped the deadly encirclement of those three was already more than Yu Changsheng could have hoped for. He couldn’t ask for more.

As for why he didn’t just use the Thunder Tribulation to completely annihilate Chen Feng and the other two, it wasn’t that the thought hadn’t crossed his mind. Ultimately, however, it just wasn’t feasible.

The main reason was that Yu Changsheng had no intention of Crossing the Tribulation right then. If he had forcibly dragged Chen Feng’s group into it, the Profound Turtle would have been unable to shield him from the heavens, allowing him to evade the Thunder Tribulation.

Secondly, that was not a good place to undergo a tribulation. He could well imagine that an enemy who had gone to such great lengths to ambush him must have other plans in motion. If he lingered there too long, even if he successfully passed the Celestial Tribulation, the resulting spiritual fluctuations would likely attract other pursuers.

By then, escape would be impossible.

’I’ll wait a little longer. There’s no rush to cross the tribulation. It’s not safe here, anyway...’

As Yu Changsheng thought this, his gaze turned grim, and he fell into deep thought with furrowed brows.

’But where to go now... that’s the problem.’

With that thought, Yu Changsheng performed a series of Finger Techniques. He fully released his vast Divine Sense, and after confirming his location, he contemplated for a moment. He glanced at his surroundings before heading east.

’Since they went to such great lengths to kill me, they must have other plans in place. Who knows what the path back to the sect looks like now? Heading there would be far too risky.’

Yu Changsheng frowned. ’My current position is right on the border... The closest place is... Purple Bamboo Mountain.’

Purple Bamboo Mountain was located on the border of the Martial Continent and was one of its most infamous forbidden zones. It was teeming with demons and fiends, making it incredibly perilous. Many Cultivators went there each year, only to perish within its confines. Even Purple Mansion experts had to tread with extreme caution inside.

’Such a deathtrap has now become my only hope for survival. So be it. Fortune favors the bold. This is the only way.’

Having made up his mind, Yu Changsheng didn’t hesitate, heading straight for Purple Bamboo Mountain.

The faint sense of crisis deep in his heart had not yet faded. It was a constant reminder that he wasn’t out of danger and that other enemies could be on his trail at any moment. Given the circumstances, heading to Purple Bamboo Mountain was not out of the question.

Besides, Yu Changsheng had his own plans and a degree of confidence.

’Purple Bamboo Mountain...’

Yu Changsheng swallowed hard, his gaze distant and profound.

’The remains of Cao Jinxian’s dwelling are supposedly here as well. If so, I might as well go take a look... this senior brother I’ve never met...’

’I originally planned to come here after reaching the Golden Core realm, but coming a bit early doesn’t matter. Fortune favors the bold, after all. Who knows, this might be a fated opportunity for me.’

As Yu Changsheng flew on, his thoughts a tangled mess, something else occurred to him. He felt a faint, throbbing pain and a sense of crisis emanating from between his brows, which gave him pause.

’But now that I think about it, my premonitions of danger seem to have grown much sharper... This has been especially obvious ever since I fused with the Heavenly Dao Qi.’

’A warning from the Celestial Dao? Or is it because of my Physique?’

Yu Changsheng contemplated this for a moment before shaking his head to dismiss the thoughts. Now was not the time to dwell on such things.

Half an hour later, the landscape had changed completely below him as he flew through the billowing clouds. Yu Changsheng took a deep breath, halted in mid-air, and stared ahead, his Adam’s apple bobbing.

’Purple Bamboo Mountain... I’ve arrived.’

Ahead, a faint purple radiance filled the air, exuding an indescribable strangeness and an ominous aura that shrouded the scenery in a hazy mist.

What came into view was a continuous, rolling mountain range that followed the border of the Martial Continent, separating it from Qingzhou Province. The range stretched for thousands of miles along the border, exuding an air of majesty.

Its most striking feature was the color purple that dominated the view. The mountains and wilds were covered in a dense forest of Purple Bamboo. The stalks gave off specks of golden light, carrying a mesmerizing power that was both beautiful and bewitching. All other colors seemed like mere embellishments in their presence. Stalk after stalk of Purple Bamboo soared toward the heavens, swaying gently in the wind with a captivating, myriad grace.

As a whole, the sight was both beautiful and spectacular.

This was one of the Martial Continent’s forbidden lands... Purple Bamboo Mountain.

"HUU..."

After letting out a long breath, his chest heaving, Yu Changsheng gritted his teeth and glanced behind him one last time. Without further hesitation, he plunged headfirst into the Purple Bamboo Mountain Range.

’If you ignore the dangers, this place is truly a rare and beautiful sight. I bet lots of people come here all the time.’
