The Black-striped Rhinos were stampeding, shaking the very ground.
Outside the cave, the Wild Mountain Monkey dozing on a giant tree was startled awake. It quickly leaped to the highest branch and gazed into the distance.
Billowing dust rolled toward it, and its followers below roared with unease.
Once it could see the scene more clearly, the Wild Mountain Monkey’s expression grew strange.
’We and the Black-striped Rhinos have always kept to ourselves, so why are they suddenly heading this way? And from the looks of it, they mean trouble!’
"KREE!" The Wild Mountain Monkey shrieked a command to those below.
A black bear and several other Demon Beasts immediately gathered, taking up defensive positions near the cave.
As the Black-striped Rhinos drew nearer, the scene became much clearer for the Wild Mountain Monkey. Its expression froze when it saw Yu Changsheng at the very front.
"KREE KREE KREE!"
In the next instant, the Wild Mountain Monkey’s eyes turned crimson as killing intent flared from it.
’It remembered this Cultivator all too well. It could never forget that massive fireball. Not only had he stolen its prey and killed several of its companions, but he’d even scorched its beautiful fur, leaving it charred, black, and hideous!’
When enemies meet, old hatreds burn anew. The Wild Mountain Monkey immediately flipped down from the tree, grabbed a dangling vine, and swung away, screeching to the black bear and other Demon Beasts, "KREE KREE KREE!"
At its command, the black bear and the other Demon Beasts sprang into action, charging toward Yu Changsheng.
’Here they come!’
Yu Changsheng’s Divine Sense had a vast range. He had spotted the Wild Mountain Monkey from a thousand meters away and could clearly see its excited, roaring face.
’Seeing how excited you are, it would be a shame not to give you a little present.’
A smile touched the corners of Yu Changsheng’s lips.
Three seconds later, the Wild Mountain Monkey appeared before him. It let out a roar and leaped down. Behind it, the Black-striped Rhinos were stampeding closer.
Caught in a pincer attack.
Yet, Yu Changsheng felt no tension at all as he took out a Scattered Demon Essence Pill.
"KREE KREE KREE!"
Just as the Wild Mountain Monkey’s fist was about to connect, his figure vanished into thin air. An afterimage flickered where he’d been, allowing the fist to pass right through it, leaving only a single Scattered Demon Essence Pill to fall slowly to the ground.
Yu Changsheng had used Shadow Flash to escape the immediate danger. Then, with a flicker of his Divine Sense...
’Detonate!’
Instantly, the Scattered Demon Essence Pill burst, releasing a cloud of medicinal gas.
The Wild Mountain Monkey’s eyes widened in horror. ’I know this thing all too well—I fell victim to it once before!’

The Wild Mountain Monkey roared in fury. It tried to retreat, to hold its breath.
But it was too late. The pill’s effects spread rapidly and had already reached it.
However, its Realm was higher than that of the Black-striped Rhinos, and its power was immense. Even after being affected, it could still hold its ground and summon its Demon Power.
"RUMBLE!"
By the time the Black-striped Rhinos arrived, the Wild Mountain Monkey had already slammed its fists into the ground, activating its Talent Magic: Earth Spike.
Sharp earthen spikes erupted from the ground all around, skewering the Black-striped Rhinos from below like vibrant spring bamboo shoots.
The Black-striped Rhinos scrambled to dodge.
However, the sheer number of Earth Spikes was overwhelming, their coverage too wide.
Soon, Black-striped Rhinos were being thrown to the ground, their bellies pierced and their legs injured by the spikes.
Even from fifty meters away, Yu Changsheng couldn’t escape the range of the attack. Just as an Earth Spike was about to impale him, he had no choice but to form a hand seal and summon the Red Refining Snake.
The Red Refining Snake appeared and instantly snapped the Earth Spike in two with its massive jaws, simultaneously coiling its body to shield Yu Changsheng.
Dust filled the air. When the Earth Spike attack finally subsided, the surroundings were in complete chaos.
The Red Refining Snake slowly uncoiled, revealing Yu Changsheng within its protective embrace.

The moment it saw Yu Changsheng, the Wild Mountain Monkey let out a piercing shriek, leaped into the air, and lunged at him.
It wanted nothing more than to bite off Yu Changsheng’s head, peel his skin, and tear him limb from limb!

Seeing this, the Black-striped Rhinos roared in a frenzy and charged at both the Wild Mountain Monkey and Yu Changsheng.
In their eyes, both were enemies who had harmed them!

The Black-striped Rhinos smashed through several Earth Spikes with their powerful bodies and were the first to reach the Wild Mountain Monkey, cutting off its attack on Yu Changsheng.

Meanwhile, the Red Refining Snake opened its massive maw and spewed a cloud of toxic mist.
The toxic mist enveloped the Wild Mountain Monkey and the Black-striped Rhinos, their expressions twisting in anger and pain. The snake instantly drew their ire.
The Wild Mountain Monkey, already affected by the Scattered Demon Essence Pill, was now being corroded by the toxic mist. Its Status had gone from bad to worse, and its face was a mask of agony.
"Golden-Winged Eagle!"
When Yu Changsheng saw the Wild Mountain Monkey’s followers approaching, he quickly summoned the Golden-Winged Eagle, mounted it, and soared to an altitude of three hundred meters.
From this height, it would be much harder for the Wild Mountain Monkey to kill him.

He looked down with a taunting smirk, seeing the Wild Mountain Monkey’s enraged and frustrated expression.
Unable to get to Yu Changsheng for the moment, the Wild Mountain Monkey turned its attention to the Red Refining Snake.
The Black-striped Rhinos had gone completely berserk, attacking everything in sight—the Demon Beasts on the monkey’s side and the Red Refining Snake alike.
They had the absolute advantage in numbers, and for a time, they forced the black bear and the other Demon Beasts supporting the Wild Mountain Monkey into a steady retreat.
"ROAR!" The Wild Mountain Monkey roared to the heavens. Its body blurred as a torrent of Demon Power erupted from it, and it charged toward the Red Refining Snake.
The Wild Mountain Monkey was incredibly fast, closing the distance to the Red Refining Snake in the blink of an eye.
"BAM! BAM! BAM!!!"
Its fists hammered relentlessly against the Red Refining Snake’s scales, creating visible shockwaves with each impact.
The Red Refining Snake had already activated its Water Spirit Illusion Armor as the monkey approached, but the monkey’s fists weren’t just dealing physical damage. They were imbued with Earth Element Demon Power, meaning its strikes carried the force of a Magic attack.
After a dozen or so punches, the Red Refining Snake began to buckle. It was forced back continuously, its head rearing up as its tail whipped frantically at its attacker.
But the Wild Mountain Monkey was incredibly agile. It dodged the attack with a single leap and let out another piercing shriek, seemingly enraged by the Red Refining Snake’s defiance.
’To think this thing still has so much power after being hit with a Scattered Demon Essence Pill.’
Watching from mid-air, Yu Changsheng’s expression shifted. He raised a hand, which began to glow with fiery light as he narrowed his eyes and took aim at the Wild Mountain Monkey.
Right now, the Wild Mountain Monkey and the Red Refining Snake were locked in a chaotic brawl, surrounded by the Black-striped Rhinos, the black bear, and other Demon Beasts. Rushing down there would be suicide.
’A Magic like Wind Blade would be useless against a Tier One Peak opponent. The only thing that will work is the same Small Success Fireball Technique I used on it last time!’
’The Red Refining Snake’s Water Spirit Illusion Armor isn’t immune to Magic damage. I have to pick my moment carefully!’
