SUMMARY
“I refuse to let the apocalypse ruin my life. Everyone out of the way, I'm taking matters into my own hands!”
Life is absolute perfection for Grand Duke Lioren Roscaire. He is young, outrageously wealthy, blessed with a ridiculously gorgeous face, and rules the northern border of Werestia.
That is until his past life memories hit him like a runaway truck.
Lioren remembers he used to be a regular guy from the modern world, and he realizes he is currently living in a dark fantasy web novel he once read. Worse, the entire world is scheduled to be destroyed by a tragic figure named Xavion Astervan.
In the novel, Xavion Astervan is the greatest black mage in the world with a deeply tragic past. He was once an undefeated war hero loved by the common people, until his own paranoid royal family poisoned him, left him half-blind, and stripped him of his power out of fear. To get rid of him permanently, they sell him off to Werestia as a political hostage to be abused, mocked, and forgotten. Driven insane by despair, Xavion eventually awakens his dark power and triggers the apocalypse.
Fortunately, Lioren is not about to let the world blow up and ruin his cozy, peaceful life.
Besides, he has pitied Xavion deeply ever since reading about his tragic backstory.
So, what is the most logical thing Lioren can do? Volunteer to become Xavion's fiancé, bring the half-blind prince home, and shower him with nothing but care and love so he will never suffer and end up tapping into his dark power!
After all, saving the world shouldn't be that hard... right?
“...Why are you being so nice to me?”
“Is there any reason I shouldn't be? Look, just prepare yourself. There’s a ridiculous amount of care and love coming your way. Though now that I say it out loud, it does sound kind of weird…”
