Chapter 622: Chapter 618: More Ruthless Than the Enemy

The Stone Gate opposite Hong Yu swung open, and a powerful warrior emerged from within.

Sorolotu!

That was his name.

But he was also...

...known by a chilling moniker—the Bloodthirsty Tyrant!

He had made his debut ten years ago, storming his way to fifty consecutive victories with overwhelming power.

Back then, Sorolotu was considered a contender with a strong chance of claiming the title of Hundred Victory War God.

However, in his fifty-first match...

His opponent was a complete unknown. No one believed Sorolotu could lose, and the bets placed on him reached a staggering five hundred million Soul Stones.

And yet, Sorolotu lost that fight.

At the hands of that obscure warrior, Sorolotu was powerless to resist, suffering a humiliating and absolute defeat.

Countless people, convinced of Sorolotu’s victory, had sold their assets to place heavy bets on him, only to lose everything and face financial ruin.

After that, Sorolotu vanished from the public eye.

Some said he succumbed to his injuries. Others claimed he was killed by a coalition of powerful figures who had lost their fortunes betting on him. Still others believed that after his defeat, he left Nanshan Collection to seek a path to greater power.

But for ten years, he never appeared again.

Yet Sorolotu’s power was undeniable.

In the fifty battles he had won, every one of his opponents had been beaten to death with his bare fists, pounded into a bloody pulp.

Even after a decade, his fearsome reputation endured.

But today, he had reappeared!

This Bloodthirsty Tyrant had once again ascended to the ultimate battlefield, but this time, he was the obstacle standing between Hong Yu and the title of Hundred Victory War God.

’Sorolotu?’

Hong Yu’s eyes narrowed.

’Others might wonder where Sorolotu has been for the past decade, but I’m certain he was bought off by the War God Arena.’

Sorolotu was incredibly burly, with three barbed spikes protruding from his back. He was covered in black Scale Armor that glinted with a dark, metallic luster.

His aura was terrifying, and his entire being reeked of bloodlust.

Sorolotu narrowed his eyes, sizing up Hong Yu before letting out a cold, wicked laugh. "Kid, I’m going to use my Iron Fists to shatter your limbs, then grind your body down inch by inch. I’ll make you watch as you’re turned into a bloody pulp, and when I’m done, I’ll twist your head off and kick it around like a ball!"

A grim light flickered in his eyes; he wasn’t just making idle threats. He truly intended to kill.

"I doubt you have the strength for that!"

Hong Yu responded calmly.

Sorolotu froze for a second, then burst out laughing. "You’ve really got some nerve! You’ll pay the price for that arrogance!"

"Enough talk. Let’s begin," Hong Yu said, unfazed.

Sorolotu spat on the ground and sneered, "I’ll let you have the first move. In fact, I’ll spot you ten moves. Otherwise, once I decide to act, you’ll never get another chance!"

"Heh. Ten moves, you say?"

Hong Yu rolled his neck, producing a series of sharp CRACKS. He took a deep breath, his voice filled with a steely resolve. "I’ll defeat you in under ten moves!"

"Heh heh heh! You really are arrogant. I’ve never met anyone who could defeat me in ten moves!" Sorolotu cackled.

The Scale Armor on Sorolotu’s body rippled, spreading to cover him completely.

A suit of jet-black Battle Armor enveloped his body.

He stated indifferently, "Make your move. You won’t even be able to breach my defenses!"

"We’ll see about that!"

Hong Yu took a deep breath.

Suddenly, Hong Yu stomped hard on the ground. In an instant, his figure shot forward a hundred meters, appearing right in front of Sorolotu.

"Oh? Impressive speed. I wonder how your strength measures up!"

Sorolotu mused.

BOOM!

Hong Yu slammed a fist into Sorolotu’s body.

Sorolotu’s body shuddered. A dazzling shower of sparks erupted from the surface of his Scale Armor—the result of immense power clashing against an unyielding defense.

Sorolotu cackled, patting the Scale Armor on his chest with a mocking grin. "That little bit of power is barely enough to scratch an itch!"

A collective gasp went through the crowd.

At that moment, the entire battlefield erupted.

Xishang Ling’s brow furrowed, his expression turning grave. "This is bad. Sorolotu is an expert from the Bloodthirsty Demon Crocodile clan. His defense is incredibly powerful, and his attacks are just as cunning and terrifying. This is just the first opponent, and he’s already this strong... How is the Boss supposed to win this?"

"Brother Beichen will definitely win!"

Zhao Feng’Er declared stubbornly.

Zhao Hu nodded in firm agreement.

Someone nearby overheard their conversation and said with a gloomy expression, "I hope Beichen wins too. I’ve got a million Soul Stones riding on him. But this Sorolotu is an absolute monster. Look, Beichen’s attacks can’t even get through his defense. How is he supposed to win this?"

"Looks like I’m going to lose my bet again. Sigh. If I’d known, I would have bet on him to lose."

Another person beside him shook his head and sighed.

Sorolotu laughed wickedly. "That’s one move down. Hurry up and use the other nine! Once you’re finished giving me a good scratch, I can get to work twisting your neck off!"

Hong Yu remained silent.

His fingers twitched before clenching into an Iron Fist, the terrifying power within instantly crushing the air in his palm.

Tendrils of violent energy surged along his arm.

The veins on his arm bulged and pulsed like Coiled Dragons.

WHOOSH!

This time, the Fist Gang swirling around his punch radiated a faint cyan brilliance, flowing and coalescing into what looked like a Cyan Lotus.

BOOM!

The punch landed on Sorolotu’s chest once again.

THUD!

A deep, metallic thud rang out once more.

Sorolotu didn’t move an inch. A smug smile spread across his face. "Heh heh heh! I told you, you can’t break my defense! I could stand here all day, and you still wouldn’t be able to hurt me!"

This time, however, Hong Yu didn’t retreat.

His fist remained pressed firmly against Sorolotu’s chest.

Hong Yu slowly looked up, the corner of his mouth curving into a wry smile. "Are you sure about that?"

"Heh heh heh, of course I’m..."

Sorolotu sneered.

Suddenly, he felt an immense force emanating from his chest. Startled, he quickly looked down.

He saw countless rays of cyan light suddenly burst forth from the Cyan Lotus Fist Gang.

The light was blinding, spreading out like a web of vines.

In an instant, it condensed into a ball of cyan light on his chest.

And then...

Hong Yu uttered a single word: "Explode!"

BOOM!

The cyan ball of light exploded.

RUMBLE!

The cyan brilliance enveloped them both, its terrifying, world-destroying might kicking up a storm of cyan energy.

Unable to withstand the immense pressure, the surrounding platform shattered with a deafening RUMBLE. Fissures spread out in all directions, and chunks of stone, agitated by the violent energy, trembled before disintegrating into dust.

"AARGH!"

A pained cry echoed from within the cyan storm.

Sorolotu’s burly figure was sent flying backward, slamming hard against the barrier. His body convulsed from the impact before he ricocheted off and crashed to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust.

He scrambled back to his feet.

A large section of the Scale Armor on his chest was shattered. Blood gushed from the wound, which was so deep the bone was visible, and some of his internal organs were clearly ruptured.

"PTUI!"

Sorolotu spat out a mouthful of blood, which contained a chunk of a ruptured organ.

His eyes flickered with a crazed, savage glint. He stared at Hong Yu with the venomous hatred of a wild beast. "You actually managed to injure me? Damn you! DAMN YOU! You dare to make the great Sorolotu bleed? I’ll tear you to shreds!"

"ROAR!"

Sorolotu charged.

He threw a sudden punch, creating a flurry of afterimages. It was accompanied by an overwhelming barrage of black scales that transformed into Flying Sabers, shooting toward Hong Yu.

Hong Yu ducked and weaved from side to side.

He continuously dodged the flying scales.

With a series of THUDS, the scales embedded themselves in the hard ground, piercing it straight through. Meanwhile, Sorolotu used the moment Hong Yu was dodging to close the distance between them.

With a SWISH, the three barbed spikes on his back detached.

They shot toward Hong Yu’s head, heart, and lower abdomen.

Hong Yu’s eyes grew cold. ’Such a vicious move.’

In the same instant he ducked to avoid the scales, he suddenly pushed off the ground, using the momentum to spring forward and close the distance with Sorolotu.

In an instant, his right hand balled into a fist and, with a loud CRACK, collided with Sorolotu’s own.

Sorolotu’s strength was immense, sending a numbing sensation through Hong Yu’s arm.

Any ordinary expert’s arm would have shattered from the blow, but Hong Yu possessed the Venerable Golden Bone and had tempered his body with the Nine Transformation Dragon God Technique. He met Sorolotu’s punch on equal terms.

With a flick of his wrist, Hong Yu seized the opening and grabbed Sorolotu’s wrist.

He yanked, pulling Sorolotu toward him. Sorolotu hadn’t expected such a move and staggered forward off-balance.

At the same time.

A cold glint flashed in Hong Yu’s eyes as he drove his knee up, aiming straight for the wound on Sorolotu’s chest.

’Not good!’

A flicker of panic crossed Sorolotu’s eyes. ’If that knee strike lands, my organs will rupture!’ He immediately threw his left arm up to block his chest.

CRUNCH!

The knee struck with brutal force.

The bone in Sorolotu’s left arm snapped, and his arm fell limply to his side. Hong Yu pressed his advantage.

Pivoting on his heel, Hong Yu spun with the momentum, getting inside Sorolotu’s guard until he was pressed against his chest. He drove his left elbow with a heavy THUD into the left side of Sorolotu’s chest.

The blow landed right over Sorolotu’s heart.

The powerful force made Sorolotu’s heart stutter. The shock to his heart caused his movements to become sluggish.

Moving in a flash, Hong Yu flipped backward, hauling Sorolotu’s body up into the air with him. In that exact instant, the three barbed spikes were returning, originally meant as a surprise attack to pierce Hong Yu from behind.

But now, their target was Sorolotu himself.

Furthermore, having just suffered a heavy blow to the heart, Sorolotu was momentarily incapacitated and unable to control the Bone Spikes.

And so...

SHK! SHK! SHK!

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed three times.

Blood splattered and Scale Armor cracked as the three Bone Spikes viciously impaled Sorolotu’s body.

He screamed again and again, a sliver of clarity returning to his eyes. "Bastard... I... I’ll tear you to pieces..."

He was on the verge of frenzy.

However...

Hong Yu gave him no chance to fight back. In an instant, he released Sorolotu’s right arm, brought both his hands up, and locked them around Sorolotu’s neck.

A cruel, cold expression appeared on Hong Yu’s face as he spoke. "When it comes to my enemies, I can be even more ruthless than you. So, the one who dies today won’t be me. It will be you!"

With that said...

Hong Yu violently twisted his arms. The sound of CRACK-CRACK-CRACKING bone erupted as he rotated Sorolotu’s head over a thousand degrees. His neck was twisted like a rope, and broken cervical bones pierced through his Scale Armor, a gruesome sight of blood and gore.

His eyes widened in disbelief, his mind replaying only Hong Yu’s final words...

"Be more ruthless than your enemy!"
