Chapter 505: Chapter 501: The Flood Dragon Clan

"Those people from the Other Shore really don’t know when to quit!"

In White Dragon Hall, Bai Yuyun held a blood-red list. Its borders were adorned with blooming Other Shore Flowers that seemed dyed in blood, a shocking sight to behold.

And on the list was only one name—Ning Jiang!

"They must be after my Magical Treasure."

Ning Jiang was certain. The only reason the Other Shore would be so fixated on him was the Eternal Stele.

Back then, the Eternal Stele had unleashed its terrifying might and repelled four Five-Stars Kings. The Other Shore would undoubtedly covet such a powerful Magical Treasure.

"The Other Shore has placed a huge bounty on you this time. Besides their own assassins, I’m afraid many other Martial Artists will be lured by the reward and look for an opportunity to come after you."

Bai Yuyun’s tone was heavy.

"A Celestial Spirit Artifact and three favors... The Other Shore really holds me in high regard."

Ning Jiang gave a faint smile. To be honest, even he was a little tempted. The Celestial Spirit Artifact was one thing, but the real prize was the three favors from the Other Shore. As long as the requests were reasonable, they would do everything in their power to fulfill them.

"For the time being, you should stay here in White Dragon Hall. No one can touch you as long as you’re inside."

Bai Yuyun explained that the White Dragon Hall was packed with experts, and with the White Dragon Array protecting it, not even a Seven-Stars King could force their way in. Besides, no one would be foolish enough to attempt an assassination here. Doing so would be sure to infuriate the Undying Celestial King.

"No." However, Ning Jiang shook his head. "Danger, challenges, the unknown—that’s what makes things fun," he said lightly. "If everything always went smoothly, life would be far too boring."

He was a man who feared nothing. In his eyes, any and all calamities were merely stepping stones. ℴℴ𝘮

He wasn’t looking for a peaceful life; he craved the thrill of a turbulent one!

Hearing this, Bai Yuyun was stunned. She stared at Ning Jiang for a long moment before giving a wry smile. "Brother Li was just like you, always eager to face challenges head-on. I suppose that’s why he was able to become a Celestial King. Since you’ve made up your mind, I won’t stop you. Just be extremely careful."

"Don’t worry. I won’t be reckless with my life."

A sharp glint flashed in Ning Jiang’s eyes. "I plan to leave White Dragon Hall in two days and travel a bit. Whatever plots and schemes they have in store, I’ll face them all!"

"Fine, but you must remember one thing," Bai Yuyun said gravely. "When you’re in the Chaotic Sea Region, avoid entering the Flood Dragon Clan’s territory at all costs!"

According to her, the greatest power in the Chaotic Sea Region wasn’t White Dragon Hall. In fact, White Dragon Hall was relatively weak there; its only real strength came from the Dragon God Celestial Palace backing it.

The greatest power in the Chaotic Sea Region was the Flood Dragon Clan!

The Flood Dragon Clan was an ancient race, with a history far older than even the Dragon God Celestial Palace.

Before the Undying Celestial King’s rise to power, the Flood Dragon Clan were the hegemons of the East Sea. It was only after he broke through to the Celestial King Realm that the Dragon God Celestial Palace became the foremost power.

However, the Flood Dragon Clan had accumulated power for countless years, and its foundation was unimaginably deep. The clan boasted more than a dozen Kings, including Top Level experts like Eight-Stars Kings.

A Nine-Stars is a Celestial King. An Eight-Stars King, therefore, represents the greatest combat power beneath the Celestial King Realm.

In an age where Celestial Kings are absent, Eight-Stars Kings are the most powerful beings, their might so vast they could blot out the sky with a single hand. They rarely ever meet their match.

Bai Yuyun said, "The Flood Dragon Clan and my Dragon God Celestial Palace share a deep-seated feud. Long ago, their territory spanned the Eight Great Seas. They were an imposing force that commanded respect everywhere. But after the Undying Celestial King’s rise, many of those territories fell into our hands, and the Flood Dragon Clan’s influence has been shrinking ever since."

"Later, a skirmish angered the Undying Celestial King, who personally took action and slew one of the Flood Dragon Clan’s Kings. The Dragon Scale Spear I carry was forged from that very King’s body."

"Now, the Flood Dragon Clan’s territory has been reduced to just the Chaotic Sea Region, but they are constantly scheming to reclaim their former glory. In the past, we wouldn’t have had to worry about them. But with the Undying Celestial King’s birthday celebration approaching and the Other Shore stirring up trouble from the shadows, I fear the Flood Dragon Clan won’t remain idle."

Bai Yuyun finished explaining the history between the two factions.

Simply put, the Undying Celestial King’s deterrent effect was waning. The Flood Dragon Clan had once feared him, but that was no longer a certainty.

The Other Shore alone was enough to keep the Dragon God Celestial Palace overwhelmed and beleaguered. The Flood Dragon Clan had no reason to miss such a golden opportunity.

"What we’re most worried about is the Flood Dragon Clan secretly joining forces with the Other Shore," Bai Yuyun said, her voice laced with concern. "If those two factions were to ally, the pressure on the Dragon God Celestial Palace would increase dramatically."

"Is the Sea-Splitting King connected to the Flood Dragon Clan?" Ning Jiang asked suddenly.

He was still thinking about how the Sea-Splitting King had once given Meng Zihao a drop of Flood Dragon Blood.

"The Sea-Splitting King’s wife is from the Flood Dragon Clan, though she’s not a particularly important figure among them," Bai Yuyun explained. "However, they have a remarkable daughter who fully awakened her Flood Dragon Bloodline, which has earned her great importance within the clan."

"I see."

Ning Jiang nodded. It made sense now why the Sea-Splitting King had been bold enough to threaten revenge; he had unexpected ties to the Flood Dragon Clan.

Still, the Sea-Splitting King likely couldn’t command the Kings of the Flood Dragon Clan, or the Meteor King would have been destroyed long ago.

"I’ll keep everything about the Flood Dragon Clan in mind. I’m leaving in two days."

"Alright."

...

Two days later, at the break of dawn, Ning Jiang set off from White Dragon Hall.

Life in White Dragon Hall was too comfortable. To put it bluntly, the purpose of his trip was to go looking for trouble. This time, he didn’t even bring his Flying Cloud Ship.

Whatever calamities he faced, he would have to rely on himself alone.

After flying for about three hours, Ning Jiang came to a stop.

"You’ve been following me for long enough. You can show yourselves now," Ning Jiang said coldly.

"As expected of someone on the Hidden Dragon List. Your senses are sharp indeed."

Three figures appeared, their auras powerful and surging. One of them was actually a Heaven-Reaching Realm expert.

And Ning Jiang recognized him!

It was none other than an Elder from White Dragon Hall.

"Ning Jiang, surrender peacefully and return with us to the Other Shore. It’s your only chance of survival," the Elder from White Dragon Hall said coldly, dropping all pretense.

Ning Jiang shook his head. "I was using myself as bait," he said. "I just didn’t expect you to fall for it so easily."

"What? What are you talking about?!"

"Hmph." At that moment, a cold snort echoed as a woman stepped into view. "I’ve long known that a few assassins from the Other Shore were lurking in my White Dragon Hall. I just hadn’t been able to root you out. By revealing yourselves, you’ve saved me a great deal of trouble."

"Run!"

All three realized the situation was bad and immediately tried to flee.

But how could they possibly escape from a Five-Stars King? With a single palm strike from Bai Yuyun, their bodies shuddered and instantly disintegrated into dust.

"Alright, Ning Jiang. Be careful from here on out," said Bai Yuyun.

"Don’t worry."

Ning Jiang turned into a streak of light and disappeared over the horizon.
