Chapter 522: All-Channel Acknowledgments

It’s been nearly nine months since this book was first published on February 15th. Today, it was featured in a major sitewide promotion—the kind of huge recommendation every book strives for. More than anything, I’m filled with excitement and gratitude.

Let me share a little about the journey of writing this book.

I spent about half a year just outlining the plot. Then, on February 15th, I uploaded the first Chapter, full of confidence. Unfortunately, because this is a slow-burn story, its initial performance was very mediocre. When it was pitted against other books in competitions, its stats were almost always at the bottom, and I seriously considered dropping the project more than once.

Luckily, I had your support!

From the moment this book started, there has been a group of readers consistently supporting me. You all encouraged me, gave me the confidence to grit my teeth, and helped me persevere.

And that perseverance paid off.

Ever since the book went premium, its performance has been steadily improving. Though it’s a slow burn, it has gradually found its footing. About two weeks ago, my editor told me that while my book’s stats weren’t the best in its cohort when it first went premium, I had slowly surpassed the others.

At that moment, I was simply overwhelmed. It was your unwavering support that brought this book back from the brink!

But aside from feeling touched, I also feel I owe you an apology.

When it comes to the update schedule, this book is at a disadvantage. You could even say my schedule is erratic. I only release two short Chapters a day, and sometimes I even miss updates due to writer’s block. That’s my fault, and I want to apologize to all of you. Thank you so much for being so patient with me on that front.

But enough of my rambling. Next, I’ll answer some frequently asked questions.

How many Chapters will this book have?

My plan is for somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 Chapters, which means we’re already about a third of the way through. I know some of you might be thinking that at my current pace, that will take forever. I promise to do my best to speed things up.

How many female leads are there?

When I was first outlining, I had planned for three. But plans don’t always survive contact with reality. It’s possible the third potential love interest may just end up being a friend. Romance subplots are genuinely difficult to write. Just trying to properly develop the characters of Ye Chenyu and Ning Yu’an has already taken everything I’ve got.

What’s the future direction of the plot?

I can’t reveal too many spoilers, but as the story moves from Cyan Cloud Country to the Six Eastern Provinces, from there to the East Sea, and eventually to the mysterious Celestial Domain, you can probably see that I’m laying the groundwork piece by piece. I can promise you the plot will only get more exciting from here.

Who is the final boss?

Is it the Demon Race? Or some other unknown entity? Attentive readers might have noticed a few mentions of the "Celestial Road." As for why the protagonist fell in the first place, I still haven’t revealed that secret. All of these mysteries will be unraveled as the story progresses.
