Immortal World : MILF Dual Cultivation
Chapter 121 | Quiet Growth
Chapter 121: 121 | Quiet Growth
Lin Tian spends several days inside the Cloud-Sea Pavilion, quietly consolidating his cultivation. The Tier-3 isolation formations sealed the deepest meditation chamber, keeping his presence hidden from the outside world.
After his recent cultivation with Madam Shen, Aunt Lin, and Lady Yun, a large amount of Yin essence now flowed within him. The Primordial Yin-Yang Synergy continued to harmonize it, allowing the different energies to merge smoothly with his own cultivation.
Inside his Dantian, his golden Liquid Qi had become far denser than before. Each circulation carried greater force, spreading through his spiritual center before flowing into his widened meridians.
With every breath, spiritual energy from the chamber entered his body. The dense Liquid Qi slowly refined the newly absorbed essence while continuing to strengthen his foundation.
His Primordial Yang-Tyrant Body was also growing stronger. His meridians had widened further and become more resilient, allowing them to withstand the increased pressure of his powerful Liquid Qi.
Lin Tian remained still, guiding the energy through his body again and again. He did not rush the process; fully assimilating such a large amount of Yin essence required patience.
Outside, the Shadow Web continued to move.
For now, Lin Tian focused on one thing, making his foundation strong enough for everything that came next.
During those days Madam Shen handles most of the Cloud-Sea Pavilion’s daily affairs.
She sat behind the reception desk in her dark-crimson robes, keeping her Foundation Establishment aura fully restrained. To the rest of the sect, she was simply carrying out her duties while managing the affairs of a promising disciple’s pavilion.
Over the next three days, several deacons and curious Inner Sect disciples came to visit Lin Tian. Some wanted to trade for artifacts, while others were simply curious about the sudden rise of a young cultivator who had recently attracted so much attention.
None were allowed to disturb his seclusion.
"Disciple Lin Tian is currently consolidating his foundation," Madam Shen told a deacon from Martial Arts Peak. Her tone remained calm but firm. "He is in closed-door cultivation and cannot receive visitors at present. Unless this concerns an urgent sect matter, you may leave your request here. It will be reviewed after he finishes his seclusion."
The deacon glanced at the neatly arranged records on the desk before giving a respectful bow. "Understood."
He left without arguing.
Madam Shen watched him disappear through the pavilion doors before returning to her work. As long as Lin Tian remained in seclusion, she would make sure no unnecessary matter reached him.
Deep beneath the Cloud-Sea Pavilion, Aunt Lin completes umbrella during the same period, refining the first prototype of the Umbrella of Shifting Heavens. The Earth-Fire furnace burned steadily beside her as she made the final adjustments.
The dark-silver canopy was made from the intact hides of the Iron-Hide Boars Lin Tian had brought back from his mission, while purified bronze formed the ribs. Each rib carried a formation path designed to guide incoming force toward the edges instead of resisting it directly.
At last, she finished the final formation mark and lifted the umbrella from the anvil.
The prototype was complete.
A faint movement came from the shadows near the entrance, and Lady Yun stepped into the forge.
"Is it ready?" she asked.
"Yes," Aunt Lin replied. "But we need to test it."
Lady Yun nodded. "How much strength?"
"Early Foundation Establishment."
She stepped back and restrained her cultivation as Dark Yin Qi gathered in her hand, forming a sharp stream of energy. Aunt Lin opened the umbrella and sent a controlled strand of Liquid Qi into its handle.
The moment the canopy fully opened, Lady Yun released the attack.
It struck the center of the umbrella.
The formation activated at once.
Instead of meeting the force directly, the curved canopy guided the impact along the bronze ribs and toward the outer edge. The Dark Yin Qi slid across the surface and dispersed into the surrounding air.
Aunt Lin remained steady, feeling only a light recoil through the handle. The stone floor beneath her feet trembled slightly.
She lowered the umbrella and inspected the formation marks. "The force was redirected successfully, but there is still some pressure on the formation."
Lady Yun nodded. "Much less than a normal defensive treasure would take."
"Exactly." Aunt Lin ran her fingers lightly over one of the bronze ribs. "The basic design works. With a few more refinements, I should be able to reduce the remaining recoil."
Lady Yun looked at the umbrella again. "It doesn’t stop the attack. It makes the attack lose its path."
Aunt Lin gave a small smile. "That is what makes it useful."
She turned toward the forge and placed the umbrella carefully beside the anvil. "This prototype has passed its first test. I’ll improve the formation before making the final version."
While Aunt Lin continued examining the new artifact, Lady Yun gathers intelligence during that period.
The two Outer Sect disciples who had been spying on Lin Tian were still alive, but the information she had taken from them had led her to an Inner Sect enforcer. That enforcer had contacted them through a middleman and ordered them to watch Lin Tian’s movements and find out who he met at night.
Lady Yun had already memorized the names, meeting place, and instructions the disciples had given her. She had also kept the small token she found on them, hoping it would help her trace the people behind the middleman.
She took the dark jade token from her robe and examined the unfamiliar mark carved into its surface.
This does not look like something an ordinary Outer Sect disciple would possess.
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she considered the information.
The token did not point directly to Elder Liu or any other powerful figure, but the connection to an Inner Sect enforcer was enough to draw her attention.
Someone inside the sect is already watching Lin Tian.
She slipped the token back into her robe.
For now, she would not act. She would continue following the trail and find out who was truly behind it before bringing the information to Lin Tian.
The answer would come soon enough.
On the morning of the final day of his closed-door cultivation, the Tier-3 isolation formations deactivated. The spirit-wood doors opened, and Lin Tian stepped into the main hall of the Cloud-Sea Pavilion.
Madam Shen, Aunt Lin, and Lady Yun were already waiting for him. They rose as he approached, their Foundation Establishment auras restrained as they greeted him with quiet respect.
"Welcome back."
Lin Tian nodded. After several days of cultivation, his foundation had become much more stable, and the golden Liquid Qi within his Dantian was denser and more refined than before. The Abyssal Shadow Veil still concealed his true cultivation, making him appear to be around the Peak of Qi Gathering to anyone who could sense his aura from outside.
Only the three women could sense the change clearly through their cultivation connection.
Through the connection formed by their previous cultivation, they could sense how much stronger his foundation had become. His Primordial Yang-Tyrant Body also carried a heavier pressure than before, but Lin Tian kept it fully restrained.
"How did things go while I was in seclusion?" he asked.
Lady Yun stepped forward first and handed him a dark jade token. "We have new information about the two Outer Sect disciples who were spying on you. They were working for an Inner Sect enforcer through a middleman, and this was found on one of them."
Lin Tian studied the unfamiliar mark carved into the token.
"Did you find out who was behind the enforcer?"
"Not yet," Lady Yun replied. "I know the meeting place, the names involved, and the instructions they were given. I am following the trail now, but there is not enough evidence to connect it to anyone at Alchemy Peak."
Lin Tian returned the token to her. "Good. Keep watching. Do not let them know we are investigating."
Lady Yun nodded. "Understood."
Lin Tian’s gaze shifted toward the distant peaks beyond the pavilion.
Someone inside the sect was already watching him, but he still did not know how far that trail reached.
"Let them watch," he said calmly. "The more confident they become, the easier they will be to track."
He then turned toward Aunt Lin.
"What about the umbrella?"
Aunt Lin stepped forward and presented the dark-silver Umbrella of Shifting Heavens. "The first prototype passed its test. It can redirect incoming force along the curved canopy instead of meeting the attack directly, and the recoil is much lower than a normal defensive treasure. There is still some strain on the formation, so I want to refine it before producing the final version."
Lin Tian examined the umbrella for a moment before nodding.
"Continue refining it. Once the formation is stable, we can consider using the same principle in some of the pavilion’s defensive formations."
Aunt Lin gave a slight nod. "I’ll begin the next stage immediately."
Lin Tian’s attention then shifted to Madam Shen.
"Any changes in the Resource Hall?"
"The high-grade Yang-attribute herbs are becoming less reliable for Elder Liu," Madam Shen replied. "Several shipments have been delayed through ordinary transfers, while a few batches were slightly below the usual quality."
"Good. Keep it that way."
Madam Shen nodded. "Understood."
Lin Tian walked toward the grand balcony and looked across the mist-covered Crimson Nimbus Sect. Elder Liu’s situation was becoming more difficult, while the people around her were beginning to move in search of other options.
But the Shadow Web remained hidden.
"For now, no one moves openly," Lin Tian said. "Madam Shen, continue watching the resource records. Aunt Lin, focus on finishing the umbrella. Lady Yun, follow the trail behind those spies and keep an eye on Alchemy Peak’s movements."
The three women acknowledged his orders.
Lin Tian rested his hand on the balcony railing and looked toward Alchemy Peak in the distance.
"Elder Liu is already under pressure," he said quietly. "We only need to wait and see what she does next."
