Immortality by Merit and Sin Coins
Chapter 120 - 91: White Teeth Mine
Chapter 120: Chapter 91: White Teeth Mine
Especially not Spiritual Milk formed from a concentration of Blood Spirit Stones.
This substance was beneficial even to Core Formation Immortal Descendants, and the surrounding Blood Qi was terrifyingly dense.
Without enough Magical Power to disperse it, the only way was to throw lives at it, using people to absorb the Blood Qi.
As they watched nearly a hundred people get dragged into the mine...
The remaining Laborers instinctively backed away.
"Hmph!"
The Qi Cultivation Disciple guarding the exit snorted. With a wave of his sleeve, he sent a dozen of the crowding laborers flying.
Just then, a curious voice suddenly spoke right beside his ear.
"Hey, what was that ’hmph’ for?"
"Who?!"
The disciple spun around and saw a vicious, grinning face with a single eye and a single ear.
The Monkey, who had been all laughs and jokes at the inn, now had eyes filled with thick killing intent.
Even as he asked the question, his hands shot forward like two steel blades, plunging into the disciple’s back. Then, with a savage expression, he put all his strength into his arms and ripped the man’s body in two!
A spray of blood and gore filled the air.
A strange aura suddenly erupted from the Monkey’s skinny frame.
The other three disciples were instantly slain by blasts of energy that shot out of the darkness.
Out of the hazy night,
six more figures slowly emerged, a mix of men and women, old and young.
Aside from the black-clad young woman in the lead, most of the others were maimed in some way.
This group’s faces were calm. As they moved to act, the same scent as the Monkey’s began to emanate from them.
The weakest among them was Mid-stage Jade Liquid, and most were Late-stage.
The young woman in black slowly drew her short sword. She looked up toward the mountainside, her robes fluttering as a terrifying aura rapidly spread from her.
"We’re under attack! On your guard!"
The many disciples on site snapped out of their shock, shouting as they summoned their Spiritual Power.
"Demons! So many of them!" Yu Qing instinctively took two steps back.
The strange scent on them was seared into his very bones—it was something his heritage commanded him to avoid!
Yu Kui, however, narrowed her eyes, her gaze meeting the black-clad young woman’s.
’Not just a Demon, but one that was once a Mountain Master Disciple who defected from an Immortal Sect.’
’That terrifying aura... it’s the scent of Dao Essence.’
’A situation like this is exceedingly rare, even in all of Yongzhou.’
’Mountain Master Disciples have no reason to betray an Immortal Family. They enjoy the best treatment, have no need to labor, and their status within an Immortal Sect is second only to that of an Immortal Descendant.’
"You must be worth a lot of merit points, huh?" Yu Kui suddenly smiled.
"More than you imagine."
A cold smile touched Xie Yutang’s lips.
In an instant, she transformed into a streak of light and shot out, heading straight for the two Immortal Descendants on the mountainside.
Seven or eight Foundation Establishment Cultivators leaped into the air at once, shielding their Masters. They formed hand seals in unison, unleashing all manner of Spiritual Light attacks at the approaching figure.
BOOM!
Amidst the thunderous explosion,
Xie Yutang’s figure continued upward, completely unimpeded, as if walking on air.
She didn’t even glance at the disciples. Her clear, piercing eyes were fixed solely on Yu Qing and Yu Kui.
"What are you standing around for? Run! There are people outside to help you!"
The Monkey shot a helpless glance at the crowd of Laborers. ’Senior Sister Xie is powerful, but Immortal Descendants are no easy foe.’
’She’s fighting like her life depends on it just to buy these people time to escape.’
"Who dares move?! Collude with these Demons, and disaster will befall your three clans!"
One of the remaining disciples roared, and the Laborers’ faces turned pale with fear.
"Heh! Now you’ve pissed me off." The Monkey licked his lips, a savage glint appearing in his one remaining eye.
The next moment, the six Little Demons exploded into action, weaving through the crowd of laborers to slaughter the remaining disciples.
「At the same time.」
Inside the mine pit, a Yu Family Disciple was using Spiritual Power as leashes, dragging a hundred Laborers as if they were dogs. He pulled them before a pit about two feet wide.
The pit was like a deep well, from which a thick, red mist billowed out, clinging to the air without dispersing.
"Kneel!"
he snapped, kicking a Laborer in the back of the legs.
"Immortal Master, please, Immortal Master!!"
The Laborer collapsed to his knees with a THUD. He cried out and tried desperately to pull away, but the disciple grabbed him by the hair and forced his head down toward the pit.
Seeing this, the others began to struggle, but they were powerless to break free from the ropes of Spiritual Power.
They could only watch, eyes wide with horror and rage, as the scene unfolded.
CRUNCH.
The Laborer whose head was being held down felt a searing pain across his face as the dense Blood Qi rose, threatening to pour into his body through every orifice.
Just then, he felt a scalding liquid trickle down the back of his neck, and the pressure on his head suddenly vanished.
"Spare me, spare me..."
The Laborer instinctively jerked back, stumbling a few steps before collapsing to the ground.
He reached up to touch the back of his neck and looked up in terror.
He saw a man in cyan robes standing before the deep pit, his hand casually lowered. Beside him, the disciple’s head had been smashed to pulp.
Above the young man’s head, a silhouette like a black cloth emerged. It slowly withdrew, landing in his palm and transforming into a Cyan Umbrella.
"..."
Lin Shu stared into the deep pit. He saw layers of Blood Spirit Stones embedded in the rock walls.
The blood-like filaments within them had faded completely, transforming into drops of Spiritual Milk that trickled down to form a blood-red pool.
The crimson vapor was emanating from this very pool of blood.
It was like a natural barrier, preventing anyone from reaching in.
"Just wait here for a moment. Don’t wander off."
Lin Shu withdrew his gaze.
He placed the Cyan Umbrella in his Storage Bag and turned to walk back out through the winding mine tunnel.
’That Group of Demons has already made its move, but there’s been no reaction from Yongzhou Pass.’
’It seems this place isn’t as heavily guarded as I thought. At least, they haven’t reached the point of having eyes and ears everywhere.’
’The Mountain God Mirror was only able to slay that Demon General because the Demon had likely exposed its position and been targeted ahead of time.’
’In that case, I can act without reservation.’
