Chapter 122: Chapter 92: Let’s Fabricate a Demon General

With that, she spat a spray of crimson from her tongue and once again unleashed the Divine Simurgh Sword Formulas.

She stood before the Group of Demons. The phantom wings formed from coalescing sword images took aim not only at the two Cyan Simurghs in the air but also enveloped every Yu Family Disciple on the field.

With the Broken Sword in her hand, she intended to cover the retreat for over a thousand people.

"You’re courting death!"

Seeing this, Yu Kui let out a long, chilling, and derisive shriek.

’Today, I’ll not only claim the glory for securing the Spiritual Milk, but I’ll also cleanse the Yu Family’s ranks and earn another handsome reward!’

Her massive form shot downwards like an arrow in a violent dive.

"Wait..."

Just then, her body froze for an instant. Her gaze lost its focus for some reason, and she glanced around, bewildered and suspicious.

The swaying torchlight suddenly sputtered and died, plunging the entire mountain into a thick, oppressive darkness.

Silence fell.

All that remained was a single Red Moon in the sky.

The eerie red light was so piercing that it drew everyone’s gaze.

And right in the center of this crimson full moon...

...a slender figure wreathed in surging black flames stood quietly atop the mountain peak.

He released the Formulas at his fingertips and surveyed everything below with an indifferent gaze.

Before anyone could get a clear look at him, the surface of the eerie Red Moon was swiftly shrouded in shadow.

In the span of a breath, more than half of the full moon vanished.

It was as if an eternal night was sweeping across the land, frantically devouring the last vestiges of light.

Darkness surged in like a tide, drowning out all surrounding cries. It was as if creation itself had been struck mute, and an indescribable weight of oppression settled over everyone’s hearts.

"SCREECH!"

The two Cyan Simurghs shuddered violently. Even their wings trembled as they began to plummet from the sky.

"What kind of sinister demonic technique is this!"

The Yu Family Disciples’ eyes went wide as they stumbled backward.

"Huh?"

The Little Demons, on the other hand, simply stared at one another in confusion.

In the last, faint glimmer of light, they finally saw what was happening, and their expressions slowly twisted from astonishment to terror.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The many Cultivators who had been smiling just moments ago were now collapsing to the ground one after another. They convulsed, their limbs flailing weakly at the air as if they were drowning, and in moments, they stopped breathing entirely.

"They died because their Divine Souls shattered! Guard your minds! Don’t look at the Red Moon!"

There was a rare urgency in Xie Yutang’s voice.

The Little Demons hurriedly looked away, only to find that aside from feeling a bit short of breath, their Divine Souls seemed completely unaffected.

「At the same time.」

The two Cyan Simurghs in the air suddenly let out sharp, ear-piercing shrieks.

They had somehow managed to forcibly stabilize their Divine Souls!

As the Red Moon vanished completely, the figure within it melted into the darkness.

Yu Kui simply squeezed her eyes shut. Facing the direction she remembered, she beat her wings in a frenzy and charged forward to kill.

’This is bad.’

Xie Yutang now realized the Divine Soul Technique hadn’t targeted her or her people.

’The newcomer must be an ally, not an enemy.’

She tried to control her sword images to intercept Yu Kui, but her vision was obscured by the bizarre darkness. She could only make out a vague silhouette, leaving her no time to lock onto her opponent’s aura.

’But for a Cultivator specializing in Divine Soul Immortal Techniques, getting caught in close quarters by an Immortal Descendant... The outcome would be utterly tragic.’

"She’s recovered! Get away, quickly!"

At that thought, Xie Yutang shot forward, her body becoming a streak of light as she too raced toward the mountain peak.

Weaving through the dark clouds, she finally caught sight of the enormous figure—and the young man standing beneath the giant bird.

"Get away? Where do you think you can run?"

With a savage grin, Yu Kui thrust out her talons, bringing them crashing down on the mountain’s peak.

’I nearly fell for his sneak attack before. Now that I’ve pinpointed his location, I’ll strike with all my rage. I won’t give this fiend any chance to survive.’

"You shameless, skulking thief! Die!"

The body of an Immortal Descendant was terrifyingly powerful. A single swipe of its talons could shatter mountains and sunder stone, and its speed far surpassed any Cultivator’s Light Body Formulas.

"..."

Xie Yutang said no more, a cold light filling her eyes.

An overwhelming wave of Cyan Feather Sword Intent whistled out from her form, all to buy the young man on the peak a sliver of an opportunity to dodge.

But in that same instant, the young woman’s pupils constricted.

Before the hundred-foot-tall behemoth, the figure wreathed in black flames seemed utterly minuscule.

Yet, he made no attempt to dodge.

He looked up at the sky and, with what little time he had left, simply gave his wrists a gentle roll.

The next moment, Lin Shu shot forward. Like a ferocious beast striding through the air, he crashed straight into the giant bird’s chest!

Never mind the onlookers; even Yu Kui herself was stunned for a moment.

Then, she felt an indescribably terrifying surge of power erupt from her abdomen.

A ferocious, excited gleam lit up the young man’s eyes.

His fist, carrying the force of a collapsing mountain, smashed ruthlessly against her powerful Immortal Body.

BOOM!!

There was no flashy shockwave; every ounce of force sank deep into the Cyan Simurgh’s body.

Yu Kui let out a pained shriek, her massive body sent flying by that single punch.

"What the hell?"

Yu Qing recovered a moment later. He hadn’t been planning to charge over and kill the Cultivator using the Divine Soul Formulas; he simply wanted to get closer to Yu Kui, where he would feel a bit safer.

But he had barely taken to the air when Yu Kui’s body came hurtling out of the darkness, violently smashing him back to the ground.

He craned his neck, bewildered, just as a figure wreathed in black flames shot into his line of sight.

At such close range, Yu Qing finally got a clear look at the man’s handsome face.

"Lin Shu!"

Seeing this lowly disciple, he instinctively fell back on the dignity of his Immortal Descendant status, roaring in fury, "You’re a Yu Family Disciple, yet you dare to attack your superiors! Don’t tell me you want to degenerate into a Demon..."

His words came to an abrupt halt.
