Chapter 291: Chapter 291: All you need to know is that I care about every single one of you...

Morning light crept through the curtains of the Sky-Sovereign penthouse.

Damon Arcknight sat at the head of the long table, already dressed in his black robes, watching his women stir awake one by one.

Ariel was the first to open her eyes, followed by Mio and Mia.

Then Seraphina stretched, Alena rubbed her eyes, and Flare sat up with a grunt.

Selene rose from the bed with practiced grace, and Lumina followed close behind.

Neko shifted in her cat form on the windowsill, one ear twitching.

Damon waited until everyone had gathered in the main living area before speaking.

"Come here," he said.

"All of you."

The women exchanged glances but obeyed, forming a loose semicircle around him.

Ariel tilted her head. "What is it, Damon?"

"You’ll see," he said.

He reached into his storage ring and pulled out the first weapon.

The Voidpiercer Bow gleamed under the morning light, its dark purple surface rippling like liquid shadow.

Mio’s eyes went wide.

"Is that... for me?" she asked.

Damon nodded. "It’s yours."

He handed her the bow.

Mio took it with trembling fingers, her breath catching as she felt the Saint Grade weapon’s weight.

She turned it over in her hands, examining the intricate runes carved along the limbs.

"It’s Saint Grade," she whispered.

Mia stepped closer as Damon pulled out the second weapon—the Nightshade Fang daggers. He held them out to her, one in each hand.

"These are for you," he said.

Mia took them carefully, her shy smile growing wider as she felt the cold metal against her palms.

She tested the balance with a flick of her wrist, and the daggers seemed to sing in response.

"Saint Grade," she breathed.

But Ariel watched with knowing eyes, her vivid blue gaze soft and understanding as she observed the scene unfold before her.

She had seen Damon do this before, pull impossible resources from thin air with that casual, effortless confidence that made her heart flutter.

He was a man who defied logic, who turned the impossible into the mundane.

She simply smiled, her lips curving into a gentle, knowing expression, and waited for the others to understand w

Flare crossed her arms, trying to look unimpressed.

"Those better not be some cheap knockoffs."

Alena said nothing, but her eyes were fixed on the blades.

Selene stepped forward, her frosty gaze scanning the weapons with professional interest.

"Those are Saint Grade," she said flatly.

"I have one myself. It took me twenty years of service to earn it from the sect."

She looked at Damon.

"How did you acquire five of them overnight?"

Damon didn’t answer with words.

He walked toward Selene, closing the distance between them in three long strides.

Before she could protest, he cupped her face and kissed her.

Selene’s eyes widened behind her frozen mask.

Her hands came up to his chest, but they didn’t push.

When Damon finally pulled back, Selene’s cheeks were flushed, her usual composure cracked.

"You don’t need to know the details," Damon said, his voice low and steady.

"All you need to know is that I care about every single one of you. And I will give you the best of everything I have."

He looked around the room, meeting each woman’s eyes in turn.

"That’s all that matters."

Silence fell over the group.

Ariel was the first to nod, her smile warm and understanding. Mio and Mia followed suit, their expressions soft with affection.

Lumina stepped forward and touched the Radiant Dawn Sword at her hip. "He’s right," she said quietly. "The how doesn’t matter. What matters is that he did it for us."

Seraphina nodded slowly, her hand resting on the Tempest Azure Blade at her waist.

Alena clutched the Verdant Genesis Staff to her chest, her eyes glistening.

"I’ve never owned anything this precious," she murmured.

"Thank you, Damon."

Flare stood apart from the group, her arms still crossed, her expression stubborn.

But her eyes betrayed her.

They flickered to the Inferno Phoenix Blade, then back to Damon’s face.

She saw the sincerity in his golden eyes, the genuine care he had for each of them.

She didn’t want to admit it.

She didn’t want to soften.

But the words he spoke echoed in her chest, warming a part of her she had kept locked away for years.

A part that had grown cold and hard from countless nights spent alone in the Fire Valley, pushing herself past exhaustion, refusing to rely on anyone.

His voice, low and steady, had somehow seeped through the cracks in her armor.

"Tch," she clicked her tongue, the sound sharp and defiant in the quiet room.

"Fine. Whatever. But don’t think this means I’m yours."

Her hand shot out, snatching the Inferno Phoenix Blade from the table before anyone could see the tremor in her fingers.

The moment her palm wrapped around the hilt, a surge of warmth flooded through her arm, spreading across her chest like liquid fire.

The blade hummed in resonance with her qi, as if recognizing her, welcoming her home.

She held it close, her knuckles white against the crimson-wrapped grip.

’What a tsundere.’

But even as the thought crossed her mind, she couldn’t deny the truth.

His words had reached her.

And that terrified her more than any battle ever had.

Damon smiled. "Of course not."

Flare turned away, but not before he caught the faint blush spreading across her cheeks.

Light giggles rippled through the room like wind chimes.

Ariel covered her mouth with a delicate hand, her vivid blue eyes sparkling with amusement.

Mio let out a hearty laugh, slapping her knee, while Mia merely offered a soft, shy smile from behind her sister.

Seraphina’s emerald eyes crinkled with warmth, and even Alena cracked a small, reserved smile, her forest-green gaze flickering between Damon and the proud fire cultivator.

Selene Frostborn stood apart from the others, her arms crossed beneath her generous chest.

For a long moment, she said nothing, her platinum-white hair catching the dim light of the chamber.

Then, slowly, the corners of her lips curved upward—a rare, genuine smile that softened the glacial edges of her face.

"You’re something else, Damon Arcknight," she said, her voice carrying a note of reluctant admiration.

The frost in her tone had thawed just slightly, like ice yielding to spring warmth.

Damon spread his hands, a roguish grin playing across his handsome features.

"I try."

The room filled with a comfortable warmth, the tension from moments before dissolving into shared laughter and knowing glances.
