Chapter 349: Chapter 349: The Beast King’s Rampage

The colosseum fell silent.

Not the silence of peace. The silence of anticipation. The silence of predators waiting for the kill.

Tora stepped onto the arena floor.

His boots hit the steel plating.

And the steel dented.

Damon watched from the dugout, his hand still on the Chaos Devourer’s hilt.

’Here we go.’

Tora’s shoulders rolled forward.

His spine cracked.

Not the crack of a man stretching.

The crack of bones breaking and reforming.

Silver fur burst through his skin.

His arms thickened, his fingers elongated, and his nails extended into foot-long adamantine claws that gleamed under the arena lights.

His jaw unhinged.

Fangs pushed through his gums.

His eyes turned gold.

By the time the transformation finished, Tora was no longer a man.

He was a beast.

A ten-foot-tall white tiger standing on two legs, his chest bare, his muscles corded with raw power, his claws dripping with spiritual energy that made the air itself tremble.

He opened his mouth.

And roared.

The sound wasn’t just noise.

It was force.

The barrier around the arena rippled. Dust kicked up from the floor. The crowd clutched their ears.

Damon felt the pressure wash over him.

’King Spirit Realm pressure. Almost. He’s at the peak of Heavenly Spirit Realm. One step away.’

But that step matters.

He looked at Flare.

She was already moving.

Flare stepped onto the steel plating.

Her boots touched the floor.

And the temperature changed.

Not gradually.

Instantly.

The air shimmered. The steel beneath her feet began to glow red. Then orange. Then white.

She drew the Inferno Phoenix Blade.

The blade was a thing of beauty.

A curved crimson edge that seemed to drink the light around it.

Golden runes ran along its spine, pulsing with heat that made the air itself combust.

She pointed it at Tora.

"You’re loud."

Tora’s golden eyes narrowed.

"You’re dead."

Flare smiled.

It wasn’t a kind smile.

It was the smile of a woman who had been waiting her whole life for a fight like this.

She activated her Phoenix Bloodline.

Golden-crimson flames erupted from her body.

They didn’t just cover her.

They consumed her.

For a moment she was a silhouette in a inferno.

Then the flames settled.

And she was standing there, her hair burning like a torch, her eyes glowing like embers, her skin radiating heat that made the arena feel like a furnace.

The crowd screamed.

Not in fear.

In excitement.

"FLARE! FLARE! FLARE!"

Damon watched.

He could feel her power through their bond. The Phoenix Bloodline was awake. Hungry.

She’d been waiting. We all had.

Tora lunged—pure, raw power. His claw moved faster than thought, aimed at her neck.

Flare raised the Inferno Phoenix Blade. A wall of golden-crimson fire erupted. The claw met the flame. The shockwave cracked the barrier. The crowd gasped.

Damon’s eyes narrowed. She’s holding. Barely. Tora’s claw pushed through.

Flare gritted her teeth. "You’re strong."

Tora’s eyes burned. "You’re dead."

Flare pushed back.

The fire wall expanded. Tora’s fur caught fire. He pressed forward, flames scorching his skin.

He didn’t care.

He wanted to kill her.

Behind Flare, a phoenix phantom screeched—massive, wings spanning the arena, body of pure flame. It screamed a primal challenge.

Tora roared back. A white tiger phantom materialized.

It was just as massive. Just as powerful. Its stripes were made of shadows, its claws of light.

The two phantoms faced each other across the scorched arena floor.

The phoenix blazed with golden-crimson fury, its every feather a tongue of living flame that licked at the air.

The tiger was a construct of shadow and light, its stripes drinking in the darkness while its claws shone like polished silver.

They were opposites, primal forces given form, and the space between them crackled with tension.

Flame and claw.

Phoenix and tiger.

The ancient enmity of divine beasts played out in miniature, a clash that resonated with the weight of legend.

The colosseum had become a battleground where myths were reborn, where the echoes of forgotten wars rang through the stone.

The crowd held its breath.

The barrier groaned under the strain of the unleashed power, cracks spider-webbing across its surface with every shockwave.

Dust rained from the ceiling.

The very foundations of the arena seemed to tremble.

Damon watched, hand on Chaos Devourer’s hilt, calm certainty settled in his chest, proud Flare finally fought truly, unleashing full potential, winning.

Her movements were sharp, decisive, fueled by a fire brighter than any he had seen.

The phoenix phantom dove into the tiger phantom.

They collided in a vortex of flame and claw, a maelstrom of screeching heat and tearing light.

The arena shook violently. The barrier cracked again, fissures spreading like lightning across a stormy sky.

Grand Marshal Vane shouted.

"ENOUGH!" but the phantoms ignored him, locked in a death spiral. ℯ𝐥.

Flare and Tora’s wills clashed fiercely.

Damon stepped forward without urgency, releasing a subtle thread of his King Spirit Realm aura—just enough for Flare to sense he was there, watching and believing in her.

She looked at him. Her orange eyes met his golden gaze.

He nodded once, a silent command that carried the weight of absolute trust.

’Finish it.’

Flare turned back to Tora.

She raised the Inferno Phoenix Blade high, the blade singing with accumulated heat.

Her muscles coiled, her expression set in grim determination.

And then, with a cry that echoed the phoenix’s scream, she drove the blade into the ground with all her might.

The blade released all the heat she had stored.

It erupted upward.

A pillar of golden-crimson fire consumed Tora.

He roared in pain.

His tiger phantom shattered.

He fell to his knees.

The fire pillar kept going.

It punched through the barrier.

Through the roof of the colosseum.

And into the sky.

For a moment, the entire city of Solaris was bathed in golden light.

Then the pillar faded.

Tora lay on the arena floor, his body smoking, his fur gone, his skin charred.

He was alive.

But barely.

Grand Marshal Vane’s voice boomed across the colosseum.

"AZURE DRAGON SECT LEADS 5-0!"

The crowd erupted.

But Damon wasn’t watching the crowd.

He was watching Flare.

She was standing in the center of the arena, her chest heaving, her blade still smoking.

She turned to face him.

And she smiled.

It was the smile of a woman who had found her purpose.

Damon smiled back.

’That’s my phoenix.’
