Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System
Chapter 355: The Quarterfinal Twilight
Chapter 355: Chapter 355: The Quarterfinal Twilight
Grand Marshal Vane stood at the center of the blood-soaked stage, his presence crushing the weight of the day’s violence.
He raised his hand, and a projection appeared above him.
The semifinal bracket burned into the sky.
Day 3 Matchups:
Semi 1: Azure Dragon Sect vs. Crimson Eclipse Sect.
Semi 2: Vermilion Bird Sect vs. Nameless Sect.
The crowd erupted.
Not cheers. Not excitement.
Fear.
Everyone knew what those matchups meant. The two most brutal teams in the tournament were about to face each other.
And the winner would face either a crippled Vermilion Bird or a walking apocalypse.
Damon stared at the projection.
’Crimson Eclipse.’
He had wanted this. Needed this. Kai Reventon had to die, and tomorrow was the day.
Ariel slipped her hand into his.
"Are you ready?" she asked.
He squeezed her fingers.
"I’ve been ready since the moment I killed Jack Frostborn."
She nodded, understanding.
Behind them, Mio and Mia stood in silence, their eyes fixed on the bracket. Seraphina’s hand rested on the Tempest Azure Blade.
Flare’s fingers twitched, still burning with the heat of her victory over Tora.
Alena watched the crowd, her analytical mind already cataloging threats.
Selene stood apart, her gaze locked on Alistair Reventon’s box across the arena.
The old man was still there, still smiling, still sipping his wine.
She wanted to freeze his heart solid.
Damon touched her elbow.
"Tomorrow," he said.
She nodded.
"Tomorrow."
Grand Marshal Vane’s voice boomed across the colosseum.
"THE DAY TWO COMPETITIONS ARE CONCLUDED. ALL PARTICIPANTS RETURN TO YOUR QUARTERS. THE SEMIFINALS BEGIN AT DAWN. ANY SECT FOUND VIOLATING THE CURFEW WILL BE DISQUALIFIED."
Damon turned and led his women out of the arena.
The streets of Solaris City were quiet.
Not the peaceful quiet of a sleeping city. The tense quiet of a city holding its breath. The crowds had dispersed, retreating behind locked doors and reinforced walls.
The festival decorations still hung from the lampposts, but they looked hollow now, like decorations for a funeral that hadn’t happened yet.
Damon walked at the front of the group, Neko on his shoulder in cat form, his eyes scanning every shadow.
Ariel walked beside him, her hand still in his.
Mio and Mia flanked them, their new weapons ready.
Seraphina, Flare, and Alena formed the middle.
Selene took the rear, her icy aura radiating behind them like a warning flag.
They moved through the empty streets in silence.
No one spoke.
No one needed to.
The Sky-Sovereign Hotel loomed ahead, its windows dark except for the top floor. The manager met them at the entrance, his face pale, his hands shaking.
"Your suites are ready," he said. "I’ve cleared the floor below you. No one will disturb you tonight."
Damon nodded.
"Good."
They took the elevator up.
The doors opened to the penthouse floor, and Damon stepped inside first, scanning the room with his Incubus Celestial Eyes.
No traps. No hidden assassins.
Just the soft glow of the spirit lamps and the open balcony doors letting in the night air.
He turned to face his women.
They stood in a loose semicircle around him, waiting.
Ariel. Mio. Mia. Seraphina. Flare. Alena. Lumina. Selene.
Eight of the most beautiful women in the world, all looking at him with trust in their eyes.
He smiled.
"Tonight," he said, "we celebrate."
The tension in the room shifted.
"Tomorrow, we fight the Crimson Eclipse. Tomorrow, we face Kai. Tomorrow, we might face Kael in the finals."
He stepped forward.
"But tonight, we recover. We grow stronger. We remind ourselves what we’re fighting for."
He looked at each of them.
"Each of you is my woman. Each of you is part of me. And tonight, I’m going to make sure you feel that."
Ariel stepped forward first.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
The kiss was deep, hungry, full of the tension that had been building all day. Her tongue pressed against his, and he felt her yin qi surge through the connection.
Mio and Mia moved in behind him, their hands on his shoulders, their breath warm against his neck.
Seraphina walked to the bedroom door and pushed it open.
Flare followed, her hand brushing against his arm as she passed.
Alena pulled her robes loose at the collar, her eyes already glazing with anticipation.
Lumina stood still for a moment, her golden eyes meeting his.
Then she smiled.
It was a small smile. A genuine smile.
She walked into the bedroom.
Selene was the last to move. She approached him slowly, her icy aura melting away as she drew close.
She kissed his cheek.
"Make us forget the world," she whispered.
He turned and took her hand.
"Gladly."
The master suite was massive.
A bed the size of a small battlefield dominated the center, layered with silk sheets and plush pillows.
Spirit lamps cast a warm golden glow across the room. The balcony doors were open, letting in the cool night air and the distant sound of the city below.
Damon walked to the heavy oak doors that led into the suite.
He grabbed both handles.
He pulled them shut.
The sound of the lock clicking into place echoed through the room.
The world outside ceased to exist.
He turned.
His women were waiting.
Ariel stood at the foot of the bed, her robes already loose around her shoulders. Mio and Mia flanked her, their hands intertwined.
Seraphina sat on the edge of the bed, her legs crossed, her eyes fixed on him. Flare leaned against the wall, her arms crossed, trying to look unaffected but failing.
Alena had already stripped down to her under robes, her alchemist’s mind calculating the best approach. Lumina stood by the balcony, her golden hair catching the light, her disguise long forgotten.
Selene sat in the corner, watching him with eyes that held no coldness.
Only hunger.
Damon walked to the center of the room.
"Tonight," he said, "we recharge. We grow stronger. We prepare for the final day."
He unbuttoned his robes.
"Tonight, we do this together."
Ariel stepped forward first, dropping to her knees.
The night began.
