But now it seems that if he repeatedly reveals the Heavenly Mechanism twice, the Mud Buddha will encounter misfortune.

The two questions he wants to ask in his heart are, one, how to perfectly seize the Earth Crystal Core from the family’s hands and control it without causing backlash, and two, how to purify the Fallen Heaven and Earth’s Intent within the Sky to help restore the world to its original state.

From personal selfishness, he of course wants to inquire how to control the Earth Crystal Core, but purifying the Fallen Heaven and Earth’s Intent within the Sky is also urgent...

One is personal benefit, the other is the greater good of the world.

Jiang Dali surprisingly finds himself pondering over such a question for the first time.

He couldn’t help but ask himself, what would he choose if he were in the past? He would undoubtedly choose personal benefit without hesitation.

But now, he unexpectedly does not make a decision without hesitation, but rather reflects, what does this mean?

This means... compared to his initial self, he seems not to have changed, but has actually grown a lot in the ever-changing years of the Martial World...

This growth is not only accumulated in this life as a village chief but also includes the numerous feelings from the previous life as Hua Mountain Brave Sword Jiang Dali... the deep emotions towards this world and the numerous people within it.

Whether it’s Wang Yuyan, Wan Wan, Murong Qingqing, Dongfang Bubai, Xiao Feng, Lu Xiaofeng, Nie Renwang or Wu Ming, Xiao Sanxiao... he doesn’t want to see these people die miserably like Chuan Ying, Ling Donglai, Guo Jing, etc., unable to control their fate, trapped between life and death, even not daring to admit their identity...

"Have you... made your choice?"

The Mud Buddha’s exhausted and hoarse voice echoes again, as if knocking on Jiang Dali’s heart.

Yes!

It’s time to make a choice!

The Black Wind Village Chief, who least wants to face a choice problem, ultimately has to make a choice now.

In life, many times, choices must be made. You cannot have both fish and bear paw, so you must choose whether to sacrifice the fish or the bear paw.

Jiang Dali’s eyes shone sharply as he pondered, "I want to ask how to purify the Fallen Heaven and Earth’s Intent within the Sky?"

Mud Buddha sighed inwardly, feeling both pleased and complex, pleased with Jiang Dali’s decision, yet complex regarding his former biases and present admiration.

He looked up, his muddied eyes gazing at the dark cave ceiling, as if staring at the gloomy sky, letting pus flow freely from his body, and in a hoarse tone slowly said, "Speaking of the Fallen Heaven, it starts from the first character creator in the world──Cang Jie... starting from him."

"Cang Jie!?"

Jiang Dali and Xiao Sanxiao both trembled.

The Mud Buddha continued, "Before Cang Jie created characters, there were no words in the world. The people at that time, due to ignorance of words, even if they wanted to organize their own language into messages for transmission and express their inner thoughts, they couldn’t do it.

Until one day, after Cang Jie created the first ’word’ on the earth, the sky suddenly burst into a thunderstorm, akin to ghost wailing!

On the ground, violent winds roared, resembling divine howling!

This was the wailing of heaven and earth, as if the world became filled with misfortune due to the birth of words."

Jiang Dali and Xiao Sanxiao exchanged a glance, bewildered.

The birth of words allowed human civilization to spread and continue unbroken, enabling humans to move from savagery to civilization, gradually transitioning to higher life forms, thus igniting the light of human civilization.

It can be said that words are an important symbol of civilization, and their contribution to humanity is monumental.

The birth of words should be a great joy, how could it be a misfortune for heaven and earth?

Could this misfortune be the source of the Fallen Heaven? If so, isn’t that too absurd.

As if foreseeing their doubts, the Mud Buddha continued calmly and methodically, "Just because the power of words is vast and boundless, if it can be used for the Righteous Path, it would benefit the world. But if used for evil ventures, it becomes a disaster for heaven and earth. In the past, Taoism had a famous person named Laozi, who in his Tao Te Ching recorded — [Heaven and Earth are unkind, treating all things as straw dogs].

This sentence is recorded in the general summary of the War God Chronicles, originally meaning that heaven and earth view all things equally, unbiased, letting everything develop naturally. It suggests heaven is fair, even fundamentally an aloof observer who never interferes with the reproduction and thriving of all things.

However, due to the ancient people’s extreme ignorance, they misinterpreted it as ’Heavenly Dao is unkind, seeing all living beings as lifeless offerings’.

Because of the spread of this saying through words, it later became widely disseminated among human clans, gradually shaking some clan members’ devout faith towards heaven.

Until one day, the sky suddenly fell countless ’fire stones’, causing a cataclysmic disaster that wiped out many beings. Among the human clans were some who had seen this spread of words, and in extreme panic, began to disrespectfully doubt the Heavenly God, and thus rose up in revolt, defying heaven... demons like Chiyou of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, etc., were born at that time, leading to devastation, continuing to this day, ultimately causing heaven and earth to grow resentment...

"Heaven and Earth resentment, born from such absurd circumstances, the source being words, with misunderstanding words and a group of heaven-defying developers as accomplices? So, Laozi’s Tao Te Ching also became an indirect accomplice?"

Jiang Dali was astonished and amused by such an absurd and bizarre statement, but following its logic to understand, it seemed quite reasonable.

Ancient legends, aren’t they full of absurdity and bizarreness? Yet, many are truthful records, reflecting the past human civilization’s activities, depending on how later generations interpret them.

Back then, when he first entered the War God Temple, didn’t he also misunderstand the phrase [Heaven is unkind, treating all things as straw dogs], and even now as heaven-defying, it seems he is among the accomplices.

However, Jiang Dali was very clear that the heaven he wants to defy is the Fallen Heaven’s Will, not the orthodox Heavenly Will.

Now he also vaguely understands that the reason the Human King set his will to defeat heaven was likely also to remove the Fallen Heaven’s Will and purify this world.

Upon this thought, Jiang Dali looked at the Spirit Pond, "Senior has not yet said how to eliminate and purify the Fallen Heaven’s Will."

Mud Buddha’s voice came hoarsely, "The one who tied the bell must untie it... although the initial birth of Heaven’s resentment was due to the demons of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths defying it, it did not reach the point of birthing the Sky. It was only until later, during the ancient grand-scale war between the Emperor and Demon God Chiyou, that caused deeper heaven and earth resentment, upheaving the sky and the entire world underwent tremendous shocking changes, even causing distortion...

The Sky was born during that time...

Jiang Dali’s pupils contracted, "The Twisted Land and the Sky were born during that time?"

He suddenly looked up at the sky.

He found that sometime the sky had darkened, slender and beautiful electric currents were fiercely active within the dense moving black clouds, a terrifying oppressive atmosphere brewed within the thick dark clouds, occasionally rumbling.

The Mud Buddha panted, heavy panting clearer than the thunder, like a weary old beast slowly emerging from the cave, as if speaking about some of Heaven and Earth’s secrets, already subjected to great pressure.

He sweated profusely, countless blisters on his body erupted, weakly saying, "Until later, when the Hundred Countries War broke out, the Auspicious Beast Dragon Turtle among Heaven and Earth Four Spirits was the first to perish from exhaustion, the Vermilion Bird was also slaughtered by the reckless Emperor’s Army, the Qilin went mad, the Azure Dragon hid from the world, losing the auspicious energy to comfort heaven and earth, the process of Heaven’s Fall accelerated drastically...

So... huff... to resolve the Fallen Heaven’s Will, one must first reunite the Four Spirits, let the Four Spirits enter the Sky, guard the four directions, purifying the Sky with auspicious energy."

Suddenly, the sky flashed.

A thunderous crash, earth-shattering, erupted in the air, tightening one’s heart, shaking the mountains.

The sky above was filled with lightning and thunder, brilliant blinding lightning, illuminating Jiang Dali’s rugged iron-like face unevenly...
