Chapter 151: Sect Master Blood Fiend and Harvesting Once Again ( Bonus GT Chapter VI )

It’s been a week now, Yu Liang stood by the window of the room, watching the rays of the morning sun spill over the rooftops of Heaven’s Table. Down in the secluded rooms, five distinct spiritual vortexes were already buzzing softly but were completely sealed off by the protective arrays.

He knew Yan Ruo and the others had officially begun their seclusion.

Reconstructing a shattered Nascent Soul foundation wasn’t something that could be finished in just few hours, even with a Tier 6 divine pill, tempering and purifying years of damaged meridians would certainly take it’s time.

Turning back toward the room, Yu Liang’s eyes fell upon Mei Hua, who was standing near the tea table, carefully organizing the financial reports for the week. A playful smirk touched the corners of his lips.

Before she could react, Yu Liang closed the distance between them, wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and pulled her against his chest.

"Ah! Yu Liang, what are you doing?" Mei Hua gasped softly, her cheeks instantly flushed a delicate shade of crimson. She tried to push against his chest. "The sun is already up! The store managers are coming in an hour for the morning reports, and I still have to review the wine inventory—"

"Let them wait," Yu Liang murmured softly into her ear, his hand sliding smoothly up her silk robes to catch her soft wrist, placing a gentle, lingering kiss on the side of her neck.

"N-No... not now..." Mei Hua murmured, her voice losing all its usual firm authority, dissolving into a breathless whisper.

Though her lips offered a weak refusal, her body traitorously leaned back into his embrace, her fingers tightening around his sleeves as he lifted her seamlessly into his arms.

Two weeks passed quickly.

During that time, life in Jade City continued as usual. Heaven’s Table remained busy every day, with customers coming and going from morning until night.

During the daytime, Yu Liang spent his hours pleasantly pacing through the six building complex. He would occasionally drop by the kitchens to watch Master Chen experiment with new spiritual herbs, offer a few casual words of encouragement to Xiao Wen and Xiaoxiao as they managed the floor staff, or sit in the courtyard listening to wandering poets and watching sword dancers.

Every evening, however, Mei Hua would sit across from him in the private study, laying out the heavy golden report books.

"Look at this, my reckless boss," Mei Hua sighed, as she tapped a page covered in red ink numbers.

"Because of your rule of selling high grade spirit meals for such a tiny amount, alongside the free tea and the endless staff bonuses, our net operating loss for the past two weeks has already crossed 560 Million Mid Grade Spiritual Stones. By the end of the month, this will easily hit 600 million!"

Yu Liang didn’t even look at the ledger. He simply pulled out two high tier spatial rings and tossed them to her.

"Here are 600 million Mid Grade Spiritual Stones," Yu Liang said casually. "Put them in the treasury. If it runs low again, just let me know."

The moment the transaction settled, the familiar melodious chime of the system sounded.

[ Ding! Host has spent 600,000,000 Mid Grade Spiritual Stones ]

[ Multiplier Triggered: 3,500x]

[ Host Receives 2,100,000,000,000 Mid Grade Spiritual Stones ]

’Another 2.1 Trillion.’

Yu Liang’s smile widened as he pulled Mei Hua into his lap, ignoring her soft giggles as the candle lantern flickered, plunging the study into a warm, intimate night.

While peace and unprecedented prosperity reigned inside the Jade City, thousands of miles away across the vast expanse of the Southern Continent, a dark, heavy shadow was creeping through the underworld of the cultivation realm.

Within the Black Blood Mountain Range. The main area of the Passion Sect was located deep underground here.

The surrounding mountains were covered in thick fog, hiding it from the outside world.

Inside the grand hall of the sect, seven elders wearing dark red, blood stained robes sat around a bone table. The atmosphere was cold and thick with the suffocating stench of stale blood and lingering resentment.

At the head of the table, Sect Leader Blood Fiend slammed his crimson scaled palm down onto the stone, shattering it into fine powder.

"Useless trash! All of you are pieces of trash!" Blood Fiend spat out. "Our Grand Blood Sacrifice Array, a plan we spent three decades meticulously preparing across twelve major regional cities was completely exposed and dismantled in a single night! How did the details leak out to the Righteous Alliance?!"

An elder with sunken eyes and withered grey skin bowed his head in terror. "S-Sect Leader, we conducted a thorough investigation... but we couldn’t trace a single thread back to the perpetrator! The intruder wiped out our entire secret stronghold in the Blackstone Mountain without leaving a single survivor or even a single trace of spiritual aura. They even wiped entire squads sent there containing hundreds of disciples."

When their first information of their grand sacrifice plan was leaked to the public from the Crimson Fire Sect, the entire continent had exploded into a furious frenzy. The top righteous sects, enraged by their demonic scheme that targeted their regional territories, launched a ruthless, joint extermination campaign.

For the past months, Passion Sect disciples had been hunted down like rabid dogs in the streets. Thousands of their subordinate members were slaughtered, their secret strongholds burned to ash, and their resource routes were completely severed.

If it weren’t for that supreme ancestor from the Dark Heaven Sect, one of the three giant and a legendary behemoths of the Demonic Dao, stepping in to issue a stern warning to the righteous forces, the Passion Sect would have already been completely wiped out from the face of this Continent, if not then forced to flee like wretched rats into the barren gutters.

"We can no longer target cultivators," the grey skinned elder continued tremblingly, wiping cold sweat from his forehead. "The righteous sects have deployed patrols around every major cities now. If we try to harvest even a single Qi Condensation Realm cultivator let alone Foundation Establishment cultivator or more right now, it will trigger another full scale war."

"Then what do you propose we do?" Blood Fiend’s eyes flared with a vicious light. "Without a steady supply of fresh blood essence and souls, the cultivation of every elder and core disciple in our sect will stagnate! In less than three years, our foundation will crumble from within!"

Suddenly, a sharp, sinister smirk slowly curved up on the lips of a female elder sitting at the lower end of the table. She toyed with a sharp bone needle.

"If we cannot touch the cultivators... then we shall turn our gaze toward the mortal kingdoms."

The room went quiet for a moment before the female elder continued her explanation coldly. "The risk is admittedly high. The mortal kingdoms are the breeding grounds where every major sect selects their young seedlings. If we massacre them openly, the righteous sects will retaliate instantly that is for sure. However... what if those mortals die in ’accidents’ ?"

She tapped the bone table softly. "Plagues, river floods, local bandit raids, demonic beast tides... As long as we act slowly, disguise our methods, and harvest the mortal souls across dozens of scattered, weak kingdoms under the cover of natural disasters, who will notice? By the time those high and mighty righteous dogs realize what is happening, our elders will have already harvested enough blood essence to break through their bottlenecks!"

Sect Leader Blood Fiend stared at her for a long moment, the anger in his eyes slowly turned into a satisfaction.

"Good... very good," Blood Fiend’s laughed coldly. "Dispatch the shadow disciples immediately. Let the blood harvest begin in the mortal realm."
