Chapter 157: Gradeless Technique, Achieving The "Origin Realm" and Heavens Recognition

[ Ding! Congratulations to the host, by merging three movement techniques, a brand new technique has been successfully deduced ]

[ Ding! Technique name is: Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art ]

[ Ding! Technique Grade: Gradeless ]

Hearing the system’s mechanical voice, Yu Liang, who consciousness was still coming back from a deep, dazed state of enlightenment, suddenly trembled.

It was first time other than transactions that system took initiative to announce something, not taking in consideration when it first binded. But what even more confusing was the grade of new technique.

“Gradeless?!”

If any ordinary cultivator heard this, they would immediately think the other party is making fun of them or their brain’s broken. In the vast cultivation world, techniques were strictly classified. From the lowest Tier 1 to the Tier 9, every single martial art had a clear ceiling and a defined hierarchy.

To be ‘Gradeless’ was an utterly absurd concept! It meant that this technique defied the very rules cultivators set. It means that technique had no upper limit, no ceiling, and could not be categorized by the world’s standards. Its power would grow infinitely alongside the cultivator’s own realm.

A Gradeless technique was something that only appeared in ancient myths, usually wielded by the so called ‘primordial creators’ of the universe.

As the information of the Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art flooded into his mind, Yu Liang instantly understood its terrifying functions.

This technique was no longer just about moving fast. It completely integrated the illusionary afterimages of the Misty Steps, the explosive, instant acceleration of the Heavenly Star Shifting Flash, and the smooth gliding of the Cloud Traversing Movement Art, all bound together by the endless, all encompassing nature of his Water attribute cultivation.

When he moved, he wouldn’t just leave behind visual afterimages, those afterimages would possess physical quality and could even block attacks. His acceleration would be instantaneous, completely ignoring the obstacles.

Furthermore, because it was fused with the help of his Water attribute spiritual roots, the spiritual energy consumption was practically zero. The water attribute energy would draw moisture and spiritual energy from the surrounding heaven and earth to sustain the movement, allowing him to fight and move continuously for months, literally months that too without his dantian drying up.

Just as he finished digesting this information, the very last wisp of the Profound Wisdom Crystal’s power in his sea of consciousness finally dissipated completely.

Yu Liang’s eyelashes trembled, and he slowly opened his eyes. He was finally out of his dazed state, his consciousness completely clear and sharper than ever before.

He hadn’t even taken a step when the system prompts started to frenzy in his mind.

[ Ding! Detected Host’s First Gradeless Technique ]

[ Evaluating Technique Mastery…]

[ Ding! Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art proficiency has jumped from Basic to Minor Proficiency ]

[ Ding! Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art proficiency has jumped to Major Proficiency ]

[ Ding! Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art proficiency has reached Perfection ]

Yu Liang let out a long breath, a smile formed on his lips. To go from Basic straight to Perfection the moment he woke up was a legendary feat and it broke his all previous records.

But then, the system’s voice didn’t stopped.

[ Ding! Proficiency limit broken ]

[ Ding! Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art has entered the mythical realm of Origin ]

“Origin realm?” Yu Liang was stunned.

He knew the stages of technique mastery were Basic, Minor, Major, Perfection. But Origin? He had never even heard of this realm in any of the jade slips he had read.

In that instant, the extra information was injected which was the explanation of the technique directly into his mind, and Yu Liang’s pupils shrank violently in sheer shock.

Perfection was merely the absolute mastery of the technique’s form, energy circulation, and application.

It was the peak of ‘skill’.

But the Origin Realm… that was the domain of ‘Dao’!!!!

To reach the Origin Realm meant that the cultivator had completely stripped away the ‘form’ of the technique and grasped its literal, fundamental Law. The core Law of this technique, the Law of True Flow and Shifting was not just understood; it was physically and spiritually imprinted directly onto his Dao Heart.

This was completely unimaginable! It was outright impossible!

In the entire history of the world, a cultivator could only come into contact with the ‘Law’ after reaching the Dao Palace Realm, and even then, only the most Top Tier geniuses could touch a sliver of it.

For a mere Peak Stage Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator to have a literal Law imprinted on his Dao Heart through a movement technique? This was like a toddler suddenly understanding the deepest principles of quantum physics.

It was directly a slap in the face to all the so called ‘heavenly geniuses’ of the world.

The benefits of having this Law imprinted on his Dao Heart were too terrifying to put into words.

From now on, Yu Liang didn’t need to ‘use’ the Limitless Water Cloud Shifting Art. He just needed to ‘think’ it. The Law would automatically execute it. He could ignore physical distance to a certain extent, treating space like water that he could part with his hands because of Law of Shifting.

His movements would carry intent of law, making his strikes inherently unblockable by anyone below the Dao Palace Realm, because they simply couldn’t comprehend the Law he was wielding.

Just as Yu Liang was going through roller coaster of his emotions from the sheer magnitude of this upgrade, the heaven and earth spiritual energy inside the cultivation room suddenly went completely wild.

He entered the legendary Heavenly State also commonly know as, Heaven and Man as One.

It was not by on his own, he didn’t have that much talent to begin with but because The Heavens had recognized his earth shaking efforts.

“Hum——”

An ethereal, majestic sound suddenly rang out seemingly from the very depths of the universe itself. It was a sound that transcended any barriers, sounding directly to the every living being.

Following the sound, the roof of the cultivation room seemed to turn transparent. From the high, boundless sky, countless glowing, golden lotus petals began to shower down. They drifted through the air, emitting a fragrant, soothing aura that instantly healed many of remaining hidden injuries in Yu Liang’s body and even purified his soul.

But this phenomenon was not confined to his room, nor was it confined to the city.

The ethereal sound and the shower of golden lotuses shook the ENTIRE CONTINENT!

Thousands of miles away, in a secluded, ancient mountain range, a closed door cultivating Old Monster who had been asleep for Seven hundred years suddenly opened his eyes, his face filled with utter disbelief as he looked at the golden petals falling outside his cave.

In the central plaza of the continent’s strongest sect, the Sect Patriarch, a peak Dao Palace Realm expert, accidentally crushed his precious spiritual tea cup in his hand, his eyes went wide as he stared at the sky.

Out in the desolate, barren deserts, rogue cultivators who were in the middle of life and death battles suddenly froze, dropping their weapons as a suffocating, awe inspiring pressure descended upon their souls.

Meanwhile, throughout the mortal kingdoms, countless ordinary people stepped out of their homes and gazed at the magnificent spectacle unfolding above them. Farmers abandoned their works, merchants left their shops not caring about anything and children pointed excitedly at the sky as brilliant rays of light spread across the heavens.

Although they couldn’t understand the profound meaning behind the phenomenon, they could feel that something extraordinary was happening. In the streets and public squares, people began singing songs of blessings, while some couldn’t help but of incoming prosperity, believing that the heavens had sent them an auspicious sign.

Every single living being on the continent, from the lowest mortal to the highest Divine Lord Realm ancestor, was plunged into absolute shock.

They didn’t know exactly what had happened, nor did they know where the phenomenon originated. But their souls instinctively felt a profound, terrifying pressure. It was a feeling that told them someone, somewhere, had just done something that completely defied the laws of the world. Something worthy enough to attract the direct attention and blessing of the Heavens themselves.

“Golden lotuses falling from the sky… Ethereal sounds of the Dao…” an ancient, trembling voice echoed in the mind of a hidden, life prolonging ancestor of a top tier sect. “Could it be… Has someone actually did something that Heavens deemed him worthy of such blessings?!”

The thought sent a violent shiver through the old monster’s heart.

What could make even Heavens to come and send congratulations.

Since the beginning of the cultivation world’s history, across millions of years, only a mere handful of people, maybe less than ten fingers could countnhad ever achieved such feat. And every single one of those people had gone on to become the supreme overlords of their era, shaking the heavens and overturning the earth.

And now, the Heavens were not only congratulating but was even showering golden lotuses.

Inside his cultivation room, Yu Liang stood quietly amidst the shower of golden lotus petals. He raised his hand, catching a glowing petal on his palm. He could feel the terrifying, boundless power of the flowing smoothly through his body.

A confident, slightly wild smile slowly spread across his face.

“Origin Realm…” Yu Liang whispered, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable arrogance. “It seems I’m not that talentless after all.”
