Infinite Cashback: My God-Tier Cashback System

Chapter 345 The Owner Of Chirper!

  • Next Chapter

After circling the sports car once, Lisa finally stopped in front of it and looked at Luca with a curious expression.

“Cuz, doesn’t this car look like something a girl would drive? Did you buy it for one of my future in-laws?”

Lisa had known for quite some time that Luca was dating several women simultaneously.

She still remembered how devoted he used to be to the idea of pure, one-on-one romance. However, ever since he became wealthy, his attitude toward relationships had changed considerably.

Fortunately, none of his girlfriends seemed to mind sharing him, so Lisa had no intention of interfering in their affairs.

Besides, regardless of how much Luca’s life had changed, one thing had always remained the same.

He had never stopped treating her like family.

“It was indeed bought for a girl.” Luca nodded with a smile.

Lisa immediately gave him a look that practically screamed, ‘I knew it!’

Honestly, her cousin was incredibly generous.

She’d heard plenty of stories about wealthy men driving expensive sports cars to impress women, but she’d never imagined that someone could simply buy a sports car and give it to a girlfriend as a gift.

It was a clear indication of just how wealthy Luca had become.

At his current level, spending a million dollars on a car for someone he cared about was probably no more significant than an ordinary person buying a new phone.

“You’re not curious about who it’s for?” Luca asked when Lisa remained silent. He casually twirled the keys around his finger, a playful smile spreading across his face.

“I’m not curious.” Lisa shook her head before adding with a hint of exasperation, “You have so many girlfriends. How am I supposed to guess which one it’s for?”

“Uh…”

Luca awkwardly touched the bridge of his nose.

Were there really that many?

If he counted them all, he had only seven girlfriends.

‘That’s not an unreasonable number, is it?’

If anyone could hear his thoughts, they would probably be tempted to knock some sense into him.

Seven girlfriends, and he still thought that wasn’t many?

Just how many women did he need before he’d be satisfied? Was he planning to assemble an entire football team?

Meanwhile, Lisa had already reached for the passenger door when Luca suddenly held out the car keys.

She stared at them in confusion.

“Cuz?”

The cool metal rested in her palm, and she looked up at him with a puzzled expression.

Why was he giving her the keys?

Unless…

A certain possibility flashed through her mind, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

“Cousin, don’t tell me this car…”

Seeing that she’d finally caught on, Luca smiled and ruffled her hair.

“It’s yours. I bought it for you in the first place. Do you like it?”

For a moment, Lisa felt as though the world had stopped turning.

She stared at the keys, then at the beautiful white Maserati standing before her, struggling to process what he’d just said.

Her cousin had bought her a sports car?

A sports car worth hundreds of thousands?

The initial shock quickly gave way to hesitation.

Lisa might not have much experience with money yet, but she understood perfectly well that was an enormous sum. It wasn’t something she could casually accept without a second thought.

She would have felt uncomfortable accepting a gift worth thousands of dollars, let alone an entire luxury sports car.

“Cousin, why don’t you give it to Trish instead? This car is way too expensive!”

“Silly girl, do you think I’d forget about Trish?”

Lisa paused.

That was true. If Luca had bought something for her, there was no way he’d leave Trish out.

Still, she looked down at the keys in her hand, unable to shake her hesitation.

“But, Cuz…”

“Just take it.”

Luca closed her fingers around the keys, preventing her from handing them back.

“There’s something you need to understand. Your cousin is very rich now. To me, things like this are just the beginning.”

He smiled and continued in a reassuring tone.

“You should be cautious about accepting expensive gifts from other people, but you don’t need to feel guilty about accepting something from me. We’re family. I want you to enjoy the life you deserve.”

He wasn’t exaggerating.

The wealthy young women he’d met in New Orleans and Capital City owned luxury cars, lived in mansions, and bought expensive designer goods without worrying about the cost.

Yet Luca now possessed wealth that far exceeded what even those privileged young ladies could imagine.

How could he possibly allow his own family to continue struggling when he had more than enough resources to improve their lives?

He had no intention of forcing Lisa to abandon her medical studies, either.

If she genuinely enjoyed medicine and wanted to build a career in the medical field, he would support her wholeheartedly.

But if she eventually grew tired of the profession, there was no reason she couldn’t return home and help manage some of the his businesses instead.

The important thing was that she had choices.

She didn’t need to exhaust herself chasing a living when she had a family willing and able to support her.

Hearing his words, Lisa lowered her head slightly.

“Thank you, Cousin.”

Her voice was quiet, but the gratitude in it was unmistakable.

After a moment, she finally accepted the gift without further protest.

[Ding!]

[Host has spent $295,000 on Lisa Hale and triggered a critical reward! Congratulations, Host! You have obtained 100% ownership of the Chirper platform!]

Luca raised an eyebrow.

‘Chirper?’

He considered the reward for a moment.

‘Not bad. Another company to add to the collection.’

While he was checking the notification, Lisa had already climbed into the driver’s seat and fastened her seat belt.

She’d obtained her driver’s license two years earlier, but her opportunities to practice had been limited. Whenever she returned home during the holidays, she occasionally drove her father’s car, but that was about it.

She had certainly never driven a sports car like the Maserati MC20.

When she first pulled onto the road, she was noticeably cautious. The car responded differently from the vehicles she’d driven before, and she needed some time to get used to its acceleration and handling.

Fortunately, Luca sat beside her and patiently guided her through the process.

With his help, Lisa gradually became more comfortable behind the wheel. Her movements grew smoother, and she began handling the car with increasing confidence.

After watching her drive for a while, Luca casually brought up another matter.

“By the way, are you planning to stay in the dormitory during your junior year?”

Back when Luca had been a university student, he’d continued living in the school dormitory even during his senior-year internship.

At the time, he had to juggle his internship with occasional part-time jobs whenever he could find the time. He could have rented a small room off campus, but after weighing his options, he’d decided it was better to save money.

The longer commute was a small price to pay, especially when he could use the money he saved to help Trish.

But things were different now.

He owned several properties, including a beautiful, spacious apartment in Golden Water Bay, not far from the university.

If Lisa wanted to move off campus, he could easily arrange for her to live there.

“I haven’t decided yet,” Lisa replied, shaking her head slightly. “Zoe and the others asked if I wanted to rent an apartment with them, but I’m still thinking about it.”

By their junior year, many university students began looking for accommodation outside campus. Some wanted more privacy, while others simply preferred having a little more freedom than the dormitories allowed.

Couples who had started dating during their first or second year were especially eager to move in together.

Lisa wasn’t in a relationship herself, but her roommates were all considering moving off campus, and their enthusiasm had gradually influenced her.

She was tempted by the idea, too. The thought of having more space and freedom was appealing, but she wasn’t entirely sure whether moving out was the right decision.

Seeing that she was still undecided, Luca stroked his chin thoughtfully.

“How about this? I have an apartment in Golden Water Bay. If you want to move out of the dormitory, you can live there.”

Lisa turned toward him in surprise, though she quickly returned her attention to the road.

Luca continued, “Your friends can live there with you if they’d like. I’ll charge each person fifty dollars a month in rent.”

He’d met Lisa’s roommates earlier that day, and they had seemed like decent girls. More importantly, he knew Lisa would probably enjoy living with her friends rather than moving into an unfamiliar place alone.

Having several girls sharing a home also meant they could look out for one another.

As for the rent, he’d deliberately settled on a modest amount rather than letting them stay completely free of charge.

Sometimes, people appreciated something more when they had at least a small responsibility toward it. Charging a little rent would also make it clear that the apartment belonged to him, encouraging everyone to treat the property with care.

Besides, fifty dollars a month per person for an apartment in Golden Water Bay was practically a giveaway.

Students renting cramped, aging apartments around the university could easily end up paying more than that for far less comfortable accommodation.

“What? Fifty dollars?” Lisa’s voice rose several notches.

She glanced at him in disbelief before quickly looking back at the road.

“Cousin, isn’t that way too cheap?”

The idea of renting an apartment had originally come from Jessica, who had spent quite a bit of time researching accommodation around the university.

According to what she’d found, a small, old three-bedroom apartment could cost around $250 a month. Divided among four people, that worked out to a little over sixty dollars per person.

And those weren’t exactly luxurious apartments.

Golden Water Bay was an entirely different matter.

It was one of the most upscale residential communities in the entire university district, and short-term rentals were practically unheard of. Most landlords required tenants to sign a lease of at least one year.

The monthly rent for a decent apartment there could easily exceed a thousand dollars, putting it well beyond the reach of most students.

Yet Luca was offering them accommodation for just fifty dollars each.

Even with four people sharing the apartment, the total rent would amount to only two hundred dollars a month.

‘What’s the difference between that and giving it to us for free?’

Lisa could hardly believe her ears.

She’d known Luca was wealthy, but his generosity still managed to surprise her.

“Cuz, you’re really too good to me.”

Her voice softened as a warm feeling spread through her chest.

No matter how much his circumstances had changed, Luca had never treated her differently. He’d always looked after her, whether he had plenty of money or very little.

And now that he was wealthy enough to give away luxury sports cars and offer her friends a place to live for next to nothing, that same kindness remained.

For Lisa, that meant more than the Maserati sitting beneath her hands.

Her cousin hadn’t changed at all.
