Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 348: Large Group·Aggregation Special Zombie
Chapter 348: Chapter 348: Large Group·Aggregation Special Zombie
Flora Sullivan was ecstatic; this was her first time experiencing flight.
Her vine-like hair danced lightly in the morning breeze.
Her eyes curiously scanned the rapidly passing ruins below and the tide of zombies that flowed like a black river toward the explosion.
"Don’t be scared, Flora! Julian is a real pro at this!"
Coco Sullivan floated over to Flora Sullivan’s side.
She seemed to genuinely like this cute girl with the special Ability.
She had completely cast aside Trevor Tanner, who had been trying to get her attention, and was now striking up a conversation with Flora Sullivan.
While in Seraphina Sullivan’s Space, besides combat training, Seraphina had intentionally taught Flora a great deal about human society.
Of course, Seraphina had sourced all this knowledge from TV dramas and social skills guides.
Now, faced with Coco Sullivan’s enthusiasm, she wasn’t the least bit intimidated.
She imitated the tone and topics of girls chatting on TV, covering everything from "pet care tips" to "complaining about the instance environment."
She managed to carry the conversation surprisingly well, making Coco Sullivan giggle nonstop.
And so, under Julian Shaw’s Gravity Control, the group of seven streaked across the dawn sky like a silent aerial task force.
They flew rapidly toward the crash site, which was still spewing flames and billowing thick smoke.
Using Julian Shaw’s [Gravity Control] for flight was much faster than walking.
Before long, the group was approaching the area of the plane crash.
The air here was filled with the pungent smell of something burning, and an... indescribable, foul stench.
Below, the industrial zone was in ruins.
The wreckage of the crashed plane was still burning fiercely, having ignited the surrounding buildings and facilities.
But what truly drew their eyes was not the horrific crash scene itself, but the hair-raising spectacle unfolding near the wreckage.
"Wh... What the hell is that thing?!"
Trevor Tanner’s exclamation carried an unconcealable tremor.
In truth, he didn’t need to shout; everyone, including the usually calm Sean Chandler and Dustin Sullivan, was stunned by the sight before them.
At the edge of the burning ruins, a zombie of extremely bizarre form was letting out a low, continuous roar.
Its body wasn’t the rotten flesh of a normal zombie, but rather an irregular, semi-transparent, dark crystalline structure.
It was as if it were formed from the aggregation of countless tiny black crystals.
This was clearly the special zombie that had roared before the plane crash.
Let’s tentatively call these crystals the "crystalline core."
And at this moment, with this "crystalline core" at the center, hundreds upon thousands of normal zombies, drawn by the explosion and the roar, were swarming toward it like iron filings to a magnet!
But they weren’t attacking it.
Once the approaching normal zombies reached a certain range around the "crystalline core," their bodies were dismantled and twisted as if by an invisible force, and then—spliced on!
Yes, spliced!
It wasn’t fusion, but rather like building blocks; zombie after zombie was forcibly pulled, deformed, and then "assembled" seamlessly around the core.
Some zombies became the muscle fibers and bones of a massive arm.
Some turned into protective bone plates on the torso.
Some were even twisted into the joints connecting the limbs...
The entire process was accompanied by the sickening sound of breaking bones and squishing flesh, and it happened with astonishing speed.
A terrifying giant, "pieced together" from countless zombies and rapidly swelling in size, was forming before their very eyes!
"Is-is it combining? Assembling into some kind of super-mega-zombie?!"
Trevor Tanner was so flabbergasted he was practically tongue-tied. The scene before him completely shattered his perception of zombies.
The others were also reeling from shock.
This was definitely an unprecedented type of special zombie!
Its strangeness and potential threat far surpassed any monster they had encountered before.
Seraphina Sullivan’s eyes narrowed. The [Eye of Resume] activated silently, and a stream of information flooded her mind:
[Name: Large Group·Aggregation (Special Zombie/Black Death Virus Variant Carrier)]
[Gender: ?]
[Professional Skills]:
1. Aggregation: Emits a special-frequency roar to forcibly attract and "conscript" surrounding normal zombies, dismantling and reorganizing their physical structures to serve as its own "parts." When damaged, it can rapidly repair and replenish itself by gathering new zombies.
2. Terrifying Destruction: Its massive, aggregated body possesses terrifying power and physical destructive capabilities proportional to its size.
3. Dark Shock Wave: Can condense high concentrations of virus and negative Energy at its core to release a destructive ray.
4. Black Death Virus: A highly specialized variant of the Zombie Virus that is the root of its "Aggregation" Ability. It is extremely infectious and has powerful structural reorganization properties.
[Weaknesses]: The core of the aggregate. If the core is destroyed, the entire aggregate will instantly lose its cohesive force and completely collapse.
Seeing the Weaknesses, Seraphina Sullivan understood that the black crystals she had seen earlier were the core, this special zombie’s weak point.
However, that fragile "crystalline core" was already buried deep within the aggregate’s chest cavity, tightly wrapped in thick "armor" and protective layers "assembled" from stacks of ordinary zombies.
It was extremely difficult to attack directly from the outside.
"This is definitely a special zombie, and an extremely troublesome one at that!"
Julian Shaw’s flippant expression vanished, his tone turning grim.
"What should we do now? Do we attack while it’s still not fully formed, or do we observe first?"
Dustin Sullivan looked at Seraphina Sullivan, seeking her opinion.
Seraphina Sullivan’s past judgment and displayed strength had led Dustin Sullivan to see her as a partner, someone he could make decisions with.
However, Seraphina Sullivan didn’t answer immediately.
Her gaze swept over several other vantage points and ruined high-rises around the crash site.
Because they weren’t the only ones who had been drawn by the earth-shattering explosion and the bizarre aggregation process.
Within her perception and line of sight, the figures of other Players had faintly appeared from at least three or four different directions.
Apparently, the plane crash and the terrifying roar from the massive special zombie had attracted Players from all over the city.
At a rough glance, including Seraphina Sullivan and her group, there were at least seven or eight different squads or solo Players gathered at the scene.
Seraphina Sullivan used [Eye of Simplification] to quickly scan the faint figures visible in several other directions amid the ruins.
Most of them were Players who had reached Level 3.
These Players were well-equipped with steady Auras; clearly, they were not to be trifled with.
Anyone who could survive in this environment and arrive here so quickly was no amateur.
However, when her gaze locked onto the top of a solitary water tower to the southwest, the information fed back by the [Eye of Simplification] made her pupils constrict and her brow furrow.
’I actually... ran into another Divine’s Beloved?’ The discovery sent a chill through Seraphina Sullivan’s heart.
She never expected to encounter someone with a "background" similar to her own in this "Civilization Trial" instance.
